As far as the idea of nomadism is concerned, a crucial role is played by ‘the nomad writer’ Kenneth White, the author of La Route Bleue and the creator of the term of ‘intellectual nomadism’. Mariusz Wilk holds Ken-neth White’s work in high regard. While White’s deliberations are an inspiration for the author of Tropami rena. Wilk devotes his attention to other ‘nomad writers’ – Bruce Chatwin, Wasilij Golowanow, Henry Miller, Li Bo and others. Combustion of polymers in a low pressure and low oxygen environment
No full textThe effect of low pressure on the behavior of fires is very important to the study of fire safety in the aviation industry. This thesis explores the effect of low pressure on different components of flammability at low pressures, like those encountered at high altitude. An experiment was setup to measure the time to ignition, the mass flux at ignition, as well as the steady burning mass flux for different pressures and oxygen concentrations. The test measured the mass loss, oxygen consumption, soot production and average flame temperature. A square sample of PMMA was burned under different external heat fluxes, total pressures and oxygen concentrations. The experiments were compared to analytical expressions, to try to understand how pressure and oxygen concentration affect the behavior of a fire. Low pressure environment reduced the ignition delay time, indicating a sample is more prone to ignition at lower pressure. On the other hand the sample showed a reduction of steady burning mass flux, indicating the fire is less intense at lower pressure. jego program i plany redakcyjne. Chrześcijańska kultura, religijna kultura literacka,
chrześcijańska poezja religijna i sakralna (poezja metafizyczna i duchowa) są
głównym polem badawczym dla autorów tego kwartalnika. Autor wyjaśnia także
znaczenie akronimu RASP (od Religious And Sacred Poetry).The introduction to Religious and Sacred Poetry: An International Quarterly
of Religion, Culture and Education concerns mainly the content of the journal
and its structure. The editor-in-chief (Marek Mariusz Tytko) describes the aims of
this quarterly, its program and editorial plans. Christian culture, religious literary
culture, Christian religious poetry and sacred poetry (metaphysical and gospel /

Multiplicative automatic sequences
No full textIt was shown by Mariusz Lema'nczyk and the author that automatic sequences are orthogonal to bounded and aperiodic multiplicative functions.
This is a manifestation of the disjointedness of additive and multiplicative structures. We continue this path by presenting in this talk a complete classification of complex-valued sequences which are both multiplicative and automatic. This shows that the intersection of these two worlds has a very special (and simple) form
Rzeczy piekielne : wokół "Poematu Piasta Dantyszka" Juliusza Słowackiego
Get PDFAlthough this book is fully devoted to one of the most unusual works of
Polish romanticism, it cannot be treated as a monograph of the poem. It consists
of a flickering mosaic of interpretation of traces composed of smaller and
self-contained elements.
In the introductory part the author attempts to show the image of Juliusz
Słowacki as partly romantic traveller, and partly modernist flaneur, walking
down the dark labyrinth of a strange city (in this case Florence). Mariusz
Jochemczyk traces symptoms of the crisis which the poet experiences at that
time. It is both the crisis of personality and identity. All this is shown within
the frames of rules governing the interpretation of "epistolary romance". In this
way Slowacki's letters to his mother Salomea are treated.
The second part of the book - continuing the Florence's line - brings easily
recognisable and especially strong symptoms of the Kordian's author deep
fascination with Dante. Jochemczyk attempts to show here not only the way
in which Słowacki "plays" with the reader "in Dante", but also the rich background
displaying consecutive stages of Slowacki's achieving - in reading,
thought and literary practice - his own, personal perception of "Dante's issue"
and the very character of Gibelin as he wishes to call him.
The third part is a study of Polish patriotic frenzy of "love". Starting from
observations made by Mickiewicz in one of his Paris lectures, the author of the
book attempts to discover "logics" of that phenomenon, analysing "history of
certain allegory" - images of homeland as woman-lover.
The fourth part was aimed to disclose the "mechanics" governing this
particular course of expression of the protagonist. There are questions about
conditions enabling the birth of "alcohol discourse". The author looks for a rule
organising and ordering the "linguistic actions" of the main person of the poem
and finds it in repetition and attempts to show that Dantyszek functions - if it
might be called like that - in limited and constantly renewed range or in the
choice of linguistic abilities. Repetition functions here as a constant application
of identical or equivalent spoken constructions and elements of the lexicon.
The final part of the book focuses on quite different issues. Mariusz
Jochemczyk attempts to show how the "essence" of poem tissue influences Słowacki and his relatives' "existence". But also in a different way - how
earthly "existence" of an individual and the whole nations relates to the idea
of the just beyond. In this case, the author of the book is occupied with the
significant disproportion in creation of Polish and Russian part of that poetic
and political Hell. Part in which earthly executioner receives less severe punishment
than his victim
