Le «buone letture». 2. Giovanni Casati
The study consists of two parts; the first is dedicated to the history of the Federazione italiana delle biblioteche circolanti cattoliche since its foundation (1904) up to 1912 and was published in the previous volume of the «Nuovi Annali », XXVII (2013), pp. 137-163.
In the late medieval and humanistic novellas, owing to their very realistic character, the right is an important central and inevitable element in community life. Giovanni Sercambi’s novelliere is no exception even if the author lacks a legal culture, nor is specifically interested in right. This essay intends to analyze these novellas under this profile to verify what kind of right they consider and how the stories are enriched
On January 22, 2020, the first workshop of the research-creation project “Perspectives actuelles de la musique polychorale” (“Current Outlooks of Polychoral Music”) was held in Geneva, bringing together students from the Haute école de musique (hem) de Genève and the Ensemble Contrechamps. Project leader Jean-Pascal Chaigne, composer and hem professor, presents the results of his research as they are applied in his piece Echo, composed for the occasion. After explaining how Giovanni Gabrieli’s polyphonic writing and its specific relationship to timbre inspired such a project, he details his musical means, which originate in 16th century Venetian polychoral music: namely, the rhythmic diminutions as well as the different forms of polychorality that we encounter in Echo
Human's Un-placed Place (Giovanni Pico della Mirandola, Blaise Pascal, Søren Kierkegaard, Max Picard)
Human's Un-placed Place (Giovanni Pico della Mirandola, Blaise Pascal, Søren Kierkegaard, Max Picard) This diploma thesis studies the theme of human's place and the claim of leading one's own life through the exercise of choice among the possibilities of being. In its title, Human's Un-placed Place, it states that human's place is not of the nature of some predefined and stable place. Human co- defines and finds their own's place by leading their own's life. This thesis interconnects associated philosophical themes in works of Giovanni Pico della Mirandola, Blaise Pascal, Søren Kierkegaard and Max Picard. As an introduction, the concept of "human's central position" is being thought over. Through that it can be seen that human, unlike other beings, must lead their own's life because no fixed place in cosmos was given to them in advance, so they have to define it themselves. Subsequently, a demand is emphasised on getting to know oneself and coming to oneself as an individual, which is followed by thinking of the constitution of "self" and of the possibilities of despair arising from the fact of "the self". In parallel, the phenomena of escaping from oneself as a response to this specific human position in world is thought through. Also, the fact that human doesn't have the power to completely..

V jejím názvu, Ne-místné místo člověka, zaznívá, že postavení člověka nemá povahu nějakého předem určeného a neměnnéhomísta. Člověk vedením svého života své místo spoluurčuje a nachází. Program Filosofie v kontextu humanitních vědProgramme Philosophy in the context of humanitiesFaculty of HumanitiesFakulta humanitních studi

Chapter Atto biografo di Giovanni Gualberto
The paper examines the Vita s. Iohannis Gualberti by Atto, reconstructing its genesis and fortune. Probably the author wrote this hagiography when he was abbot and before becoming bishop of Pistoia. He re-elaborated the Life of the saint by Andrea of Strumi, adapting it to a changed historical and ecclesiastical context. The text was successful among the Vallombrosan Order and it was used by later hagiographers to create epitomes and rewritings of the Life of Giovanni Gualberto
