A noninvasive molecular approach: exploiting species-locus-specific PCR primers in defeating numts and DNA cross-contamination of cercopithecidae
The lack of a standardized, noninvasive molecular approach to studying genetic aspects of primates has made it hard for primatologists to decode the evolutionary history of these species. Researchers must optimize their own techniques to fully exploit the available samples. Lack of species-locus-specific primers also contributes to difficulties in using noninvasive genetic samples. Thus, the objectives of this study were to develop a standardized technique to collecting samples noninvasively, propose newly designed species-locus-specific primers, and optimize conditions for polymerase chain reaction (PCR) for Macaca fascicularis, M. nemestrina, Trachypithecus cristatus, and T. obscurus. Nine new species-locus-specific primers for three different loci of mitochondrial DNA, namely D-loop, cytochrome oxidase subunit I (COI), and cytochrome b, were successfully designed. These primers proved to be efficient in amplifying larger datasets (up to ~1,000 bp) of the targeted species in the optimized PCR conditions. The species-locus-specific primers are able to anneal to host DNA alone in highly contaminated feces of highlighted species. They can also offer alternatives measures in avoiding contamination related to nuclear insertion of mitochondrial pseudogenes (numts)
Video Installation as a Language: an Interpretation of Mohd Fuad Arif’s Artworks
This paper is focused on the language and the music in Mohd Fuad Arif’s artworks especially in his installations. Language is a powerful tool that can be used as a source of inspiration for contemporary artists. For Malaysian conceptual artist Mohd Fuad Arif the Language plays a significant role in particular in his installations. Indeed for Mohd Fuad Arif the Language itself can be seen as artwork. Also, the specific question which investigated was the relationship between artist or artist intent, artwork, and spectator. The purpose of this paper was to provide a deeper insight into Mohd Fuad Arif’s artworks. This study attempted to decode some of his installations such as Pembukaan (The opening), Ya Allah Selamatkan Bumi Singapura (O Allah, Save Singapore). The different interpretations of the same subject are the main characteristic of the postmodern era. The author of this paper had his own interpretation of Mohd Fuad Arif’s installations.

Blind signature / Musfirah Mohd Ali
In this thesis the author introduce a cryptographic construct called Blind Signature. This thesis is enhanced from digital signature system. The aim for this project is to develop reliable software which is capable to protect the data integrity and authenticity using blind signature method. Blind signature allow user to digitally sign the document without knowing the contents of the document. The signature has a blindness property, so if the signer later sees a document he has signed he will not be able to determine when or for whom he signed it.
The organization of this report is divided into five chapters. The first chapter is about the objectives, motivations, scope and limitation of this project. Then, in order to construct the blind signature system that used an appropriate kind of method, the author did a deep
research and comparison on the existing cryptography, programming languages, algorithms and systems which are explained in chapter two of this project. Beside, the
author also used the software methodology model as a guidance to produce a report smoothly and on time. The chosen methodology is explained in chapter 3. In chapter 4 of this project explained the system requirements which are functional and nonfunctional requirements. This chapter also enlightened what kind of scheme that the
author chose for this system. Finally, the system design is developed. In this chapter 5 the overall architecture of the system, the data flow diagram and the system interface prototype is presented

Development of multiple-input power management circuit for piezoelectric harvester
This paper discusses the multisource input from the piezoelectric (PZT)
generators to the power management circuit (PMC) of the energy harvesting
system. It discusses the structure of the PMC starting from the AC-DC full
bridge rectifier circuit and the structure of the storage circuit of the power
management circuit itself. The AC-DC rectifier circuit was compared with
separated AC-DC rectifier, series and parallel connection to choose the best
performance output and structure. The storage circuit was also compared
between traditional method and switch circuit. This paper also describes the
designing circuit of the PMC from the software and fabricating it to PCB
board circuit. The PMC was tested by connecting 4 input PZT generators
which were harvested from the vibration and connected to the application
electronic load circuit such as microcontroller and sensors to complete it as
an energy harvesting vibration based system. The performance test was
conducted by testing it in a laboratory and field test at one of the cooling fan
power stations which provides continuous vibration from the motor. Two
methods of testing were conducted to measure the performance of the PMC
which were laboratory test and field test at the vibrating motor of cooling fan
in power station. The 70% of the efficiency was recorded for both laboratory
test and field test from the PMC. The output power of the PMC is 1.94mW
and the input power is from the multisource input PZT. Author also makes a
comparison between the performances of the PMC with other previous
designs
