Tratamiento homeopático del hemovítreo traumático
Get PDFObjective. To determine the efficiency of homeopathic therapy in the treatment of traumatic hemovitreous in the ophthalmology departament of ¨ General Calixto Garcia Hospital. Methodology. We made an experimental study with homeopathic treatment to all patients with clinical and imaging diagnosis of hemovitreos of traumatic cause who attended the ophthalmology departament of the Calixto García hospital. These patients received a monthly clinical and imaging follow-up for 6 months. For data analysis SPSS version 18 was used. Results. Were studied 50 patients.The general homeopathic medicine was Arnica montana 6 ch, phosphorus 6 ch, brotops lanceolatus 6 ch, hammamelis 6 ch and constitutional were sulfur Aconitum Napellus and Ledum Palustre(200ch), We obtained improvement of vitreous hemorrhage and visual acuity in patient after a month of treatment up to 6 months. During the study no complications or side effects of the drug were observed. Conclusions. Homeopathic treatment is a therapeutic alternative in the treatment of hemovitreous of traumatic etiology.Objetivo. Determinar la eficacia de la terapéutica homeopática en el tratamiento del hemovítreo traumático en el servicio de oftalmología del Hospital ¨ General Calixto García.Metodología. Se realizó un estudio experimental con tratamiento homeopático a todos los pacientes con diagnóstico clínico e imagenológico de hemovítreo de causa traumática, que acudieron al servicio de oftalmología del hospital Calixto García. A estos pacientes se les realizó un seguimiento mensual clínico e imagenológico durante 6 meses. Para el análisis de los datos se empleó el programa estadístico SPSS versión 18.Resultados. Se estudiaron 50 pacientes .Los medicamentos homeopáticos comunes a todos los pacientes fueron el árnica montana 6 ch, phosphorus 6 ch , brotops lanceolatus 6 ch, hammamelis 6 ch, y los constitucionales o individualizados fueron el sulphur , Aconitum y el Ledum palustre(200 ch) . Se obtuvo mejoría del sangramiento vítreo y la agudeza visual del paciente al mes de tratamiento hasta los 6 meses; en el período de estudio no se observaron complicaciones ni efectos adversos del medicamento.Conclusiones. El tratamiento homeopático es una alternativa terapéutica en el tratamiento del hemovítreo de etiología traumática.

These changes can occur at any level in the body and the visual system doesn’t escape from them, that is why we consider important to review and let know initially the eye changes that may appear during the normal pregnancy thus once they are present we can advise the pregnant in the correct way and alert between what is considered physiologic during pregnancy and what it is not; and give the correct advise to the pregnant in the ophthalmology consultation. Durante el embarazo ocurren cambios a nivel sistémico en todas las embarazadas de manera similar que se consideran fisiológicos, principalmente debidos al efecto de las hormonas durante este importante periodo en la vida de la mujer. Estos cambios pueden ocurrir a cualquier nivel en el organismo y el sistema visual no escapa de ellos, es por eso que consideramos importante revisar y dar a conocer inicialmente los cambios oculares que pueden aparecer en el curso de un embarazo sin complicaciones para de esta forma una vez que estén presentes poder orientar a la embarazada de una manera correcta y estar alertas entre que es lo que se considera fisiológico durante el embarazo y que es lo que no lo es ; y de esta forma poder darle el seguimiento adecuado a la embarazada en la consulta de oftalmología.
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Get PDFIntroducción: En oftalmología las distrofias corneales son un grupo de enfermedades típicamente bilaterales, simétricas que pueden afectar cualquier capa de córnea y que están asociadas a daño genético.Objetivo: Caracterizar las manifestaciones clínicas de la distrofia subepitelial en forma de gota gelatinosa.Caso clínico: Paciente masculino de 62 años de edad con una distrofia corneal subepitelial en forma de gota gelatinosa (amiloidosis subepitelial), en etapa avanzada de la enfermedad, cuyos síntomas pudieran corresponder con cualquier afección corneal como son: lagrimeo, fotofobia, sensación de cuerpo extraño, disminución de la visión y ojo rojo pero que clínicamente presento lesiones típicas de nódulos pequeños múltiples en forma de mora que tiñen con fluoresceína.Comentarios: Presentó lesiones típicas de nódulos pequeños múltiples en forma de mora, que tiñen con fluoresceína.Conclusiones: La distrofia subepitelial en gota gelatinosa es una rara enfermedad corneal, que suele presentarse de manera general en edades tempranas de la vida con tendencia a tener una evolución progresiva, sus causas no están bien establecidas y su tratamiento aunque es quirúrgico, es frecuente la recurrencia de la enfermedad
