    No full text
The article investigates the role of metaphor in understanding Russian substantival neologisms created through derivation and motivated by anglicisms used online. Such neologisms are especially widespread in communication on the Internet. In particular, the work focuses on the need to study the words formed through this productive process in the contemporary Russian language considering, at the same time, the cognitive aspects connected to a specific conceptualization of reality and the morphological process of derivation. Through the use of the conventional suffixes of standard language, this process allows the creation of new lexemes (motivated by foreign bases), which express a specific image of reality as perceived by the speaker

Non-ohmic response under low magnetic fields in BSCCO

The influence of low magnetic fields parallel to the c-axis on the vortex-antivortex (v-a) distribution in one BSCCO crystal and in one oriented film is studied by examining the changes of the non-ohmic response near the superconducting transition. The obtained results confirm the non-external magnetic origin of a v-a configuration and are interpreted by a losening and a depairing of the v-a couples in a way similar to that produced by the temperature. Phenomenological dependences of the two effects are proposed

Replication studies have been conducted in independent samples including population-based cohorts, which can be characterised for a large number of relevant cognitive measures. The availability of a wide range of phenotypes allows us to not only identify the most suitable traits for replication of genetic association but also to refine the associated cognitive trait. In addition, it is possible to test for pleiotropic effects across multiple phenotypes which could explain the extensive comorbidity observed across SLI, dyslexia and other neurodevelopmental disorders. The availability of genome-wide genotype data for such cohorts will facilitate this kind of analysis but important issues, such as multiple test corrections, have to be taken into account considering that small effect sizes are expected to underlie such associations.Peer reviewe
