No full textPaolo Fabbri has dealt with Pinocchio over the years on several occasions, showing a passion for Collodi’s puppet that bordered on obsession. In this article I try to reconstruct Paolo Fabbri’s studies on Pinocchio, highlighting on the one hand the recurring themes and the main interpretative lines, on the other the tools used and the methodological choices. The survey was also carried out by consulting the materials collected by Fabbri, now preserved at the “Paolo Fabbri” Library in Palermo, in Palazzo Tarallo

No full textCet article est le second que consacre Yves Jeanneret à une présentation des œuvres du sémioticien italien Paolo Fabbri. Comme le précédent, centré sur l'importance des différences et des écarts dans la communication1, cet article répond à un objectif de synthèse et de discussion scientifique. En effet, dans le nécessaire travail réflexif des sciences de l'information et de la communication sur leurs fondements théoriques, la compréhension de modèles théoriques différents, appartenant à une autre communauté nationale et disciplinaire, mais concernés de façon centrale par la question du sens, sont une provocation stimulante. Ce second article entre dans la discussion du modèle théorique du processus de communication lui-même. Il montre qu'en adoptant un point de vue et des objets entièrement décalés par rapport aux théories « standard » de la communication, Paolo Fabbri pose des questions cruciales trop souvent sous-estimées.Jeanneret Yves. No full textThe conversation between Angela Mengoni and Paolo Fabbri explores the so-called debate on “anachronism” and the image with particular reference to its implication for a semiotics of the image. In particular, Paolo Fabbri reassesses the debate concerning two central semiotic issues: the problem of the “justification” criteria for the anachronic relationships and the necessity to overcome the opposition between good and bad “chronicity” and to acknowledge the role of efficacy. Some textual examples, which are relevant to the topic, are also evoked during the conversation: the works of De Chirico and Savinio as well as a text by Benedetto Croce on Mantegna
