From Perceived Values to Shared Values: A Multi-Stakeholder Spatial Decision Analysis (M-SSDA) for Resilient Landscapes
This paper puts forth a Multi-Stakeholder Spatial Decision Analysis (M-SSDA) which combines Multi-Stakeholders Decision Analysis (M-SDA) and GIS processing based on a collaborative, hybrid and adaptive evaluative approach to support the elaboration of enhancement strategies designed for resilient landscapes. This methodology has been tested in the research project “Cilento Labscape: An integrated model for the activation of a Living Lab in the National Park
of Cilento, Vallo di Diano and Alburni”, which was conducted in the Cilento National Park (Southern Italy). The aim of the methodology is to find alternative touristic routes for the promotion of the Park. The different steps in the process will be described, as will the employment of multiple tools/techniques (interviews, GIS tools, Semantic Analysis, and Geo-Statistical Analysis) to improve the reliability of the decision-making process. The most relevant results of the methodology will also be outlined in terms of the transition from the identification of the perceived landscape’s values to the acknowledgement of the shared values, and their consequent employment for the outlining of new thematic itineraries for the Park. To realise sustainable territorial strategies and preserve
the landscape through bottom-up decision-making processes, the different local communities need to gain a new awareness of their identity shared values and make an active contribution towards promoting and managing their site-specific resources
A Spatial Decision Support System for local shared strategies: The Avellino-Rocchetta S. Antonio railway
The paper explores potential of a Spatial Decision Support System (SDSS), named Integrated Spatial Assessment (ISA), in the field of land-use planning, considering boththe technical knowledge of the decision-making problem and the lay knowledge of the local community for the con-struction of shared transformationchoices.Through the empirical investigation in an operative case study, the Avellino-Rocchetta S. Antonio railway line, in the South of Italy, an inte-grated evaluative approach implemented in a SDSS can make us go beyond space and hierarchical limits, taking into account the different multidimen-sional components, making clear the weights and recognizing the different priorities, and finding fit and situated strategies, according to an interactive and dynamic dialogue among expertise and local communities
Households’ willingness to pay in good and bad economy. The case study of Naples
There is no debate that the 2008/09 economic crisis has severely affected housing market in Italy at national, regional and city level and Naples has been one of the most hit cities of the country. Indeed, data from the Italian Revenue Agency show that between 2006 and 2014 the normalized transactions number of housing units in Naples has extraordinarily decreased, going from over 9000 to less than 6000, and the same has occurred to the average house price that experienced the fiercest fall between 2009 and 2010 (-24%). In this context, the paper aims to measure the impacts of the 2008/09 economic crisis on the housing market of the city of Naples using the hedonic price approach. The application of this method allows estimating the price of significant housing characteristics, whose relationship with housing price can be expressed as follows (Wen et al. 2005): = () The goal is to understand how homebuyers’ preference for specific housing characteristics has changed between 2008 and 2015 in order to identify (1) those features which have maintained their relevance before and after the crisis, (2) those which were considered significant during good economy but not during bad economy, and finally (3) those which become of interest for homebuyers only when the market was declining.Our case study is the city of Naples, whose housing market has suffered great negative consequences due to the economic crisis, as previously described. We have identified a sample of 60 proprieties sold in 2008 and 123 proprieties sold in 2015 distributed over the entire municipal territory, and for each of them we have collected data about nine housing characteristics. Then, we have used a hedonic price method (OLS) to establish which housing characteristics were significant in determining propriety values in 2008 and 2015 (Corsini 2009), and we have compared the two results obtaining two main findings: the Neapolitan residential real estate has substantially changed during the seven years of reference; homebuyers have partially changed their preference for the considered housing characterizes. The paper is structured as follows: paragraph 2 includes the description of the methodological steps followed in this research, from data collection to the application of the hedonic price method (HPM); in paragraph 3 we describe and comment the results obtained using HPV both at 2008 and 2015; in paragraph 4 we provide some concluding remarks and we propose possible further research

This study will analyze the case of Palermo port area, considered as the “face” of the city. Sicily is indeed an island, therefore, because of its natural and infrastructural features, the sea is still the privileged connection with the world. For this reason, the urban renovation in the city of Palermo has begun just with its coast area. The tested methodology will combine the Urban Faces with the present state evaluation criteria by involving different stakeholders. After that, the Urban Faces will be associated with possible and suitable future scenarios. In these way, an Urban Facelift strategy will be set
Assessing the sustainability of the city-port transformations: Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis (MCDA) for alternatives portfolio selection.
In recent years, the EU has sought to define sustainable transition pathways towards more equitable, prosperous, and inclusive urban and territorial models, capable of responding to the rapid degradation of ecosystems, and improving quality of life of citizens. In this context, ports have been recognised as key strategic hubs not only for economic and logistical competitiveness, but also to generate employment and investment opportunities, and to address the challenges of the climate change. The research presents a multi-scale, multi-dimensional and multi- group methodological framework to support decision-making processes related to the development of sustainable transformations of port cities, capturing the complexity of interactions and conflicts. Integrating Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis (MCDA) approaches and Problem Structuring Methods (PSM), the proposed methodology aims to address the following gaps identified in the literature: (i) a scattered application of multi-group methods; (ii) the lack of social instances within the decision problem; (iii) a weak sustainability perspective; (iv) the use of one-dimensional scale assessment in sectoral studies. The case study of the city-port of Gela in Sicily (Italy) provided an opportunity to test the proposed methodology and to integrate multi-dimensional sustainability issues into feasibility studies, promoting a more balanced relationship between city and port. The interdependencies between environment, society and economy allowed MCDA to be identified as a suitable approach to address complex decision-making and support the sustainability assessment of port areas transformation. Two multi-criteria and multi-group evaluation methods guided the decision-making process to select a portfolio of preferred alternatives by assessing technical, environmental, and economic impacts and analysing stakeholder conflicts and coalitions. The process was carried out as follows: on the one hand, a multidimensional impact matrix integrating Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) divided into technical, financial-economic, and environmental categories through the application of the multi-criteria method EVAMIX; on the other hand, a social assessment with a dendrogram of coalitions derived from the application of the multi-group method NAIADE by modelling stakeholders’ preferences regarding a portfolio of alternatives related to the decision problem
A spatial decision support system for multifunctional landscape assessment: a transformative resilience perspective for vulnerable inland areas
The concept of transformative resilience has emerged from the recent literature and represents a way to interpret the potential opportunities for change in vulnerable territories, where a socioeconomic change is required. This article extends the perspective of transformative resilience to an assessment of the landscape multifunctionality of inland areas, exploring the potential of identifying a network of synergies among the different municipalities that is able to trigger a process of territorial resilience. A spatial decision support system (SDSS) for multifunctionality landscape assessment aims to help local actors understand local resources and multifunctional values of the Partenio Regional Park (PRP) and surrounding municipalities, in the South of Italy, stimulating their cooperation in the management of environmental and cultural sites and the codesign of new strategies of enhancement. The elaboration of spatial indicators according to Landscape Services classification and the interaction between the “Analytic Network Process” (ANP) method, spatial weighted overly and geographic information system (GIS) support the identification of a preferable scenario able to activate a transformative resilience strategy in selected vulnerable inland areas, which can be scaled up in other similar contexts

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
