No full textAnalizar los desechos generados en los talleres del sector automotriz de la localidad La Merced, en la ciudad de Cúcuta, Norte de Santander, con el fin de identificar sus posibles impactos ambientales y proponer estrategias de intervención para su adecuada gestión.Este proyecto tuvo como objetivo principal examinar cómo se manejan los residuos peligrosos generados en los talleres automotrices de la localidad La Merced, en Cúcuta, Norte de Santander, haciendo énfasis en la seguridad y salud en el trabajo. La investigación buscó identificar los riesgos asociados con el manejo inadecuado de residuos, como aceites usados, líquidos de frenos, baterías y otros desechos químicos, y proponer medidas para mejorar las condiciones laborales y ambientales de los trabajadores del sector.
La Merced es una zona clave para la economía local debido a la gran cantidad de talleres automotrices que existen allí, los cuales ofrecen servicios importantes para la comunidad. Sin embargo, estos talleres también representan un riesgo para la salud de los trabajadores, quienes están en contacto constante con productos peligrosos. Muchos de ellos no cuentan con la capacitación adecuada para manejar estos materiales de forma segura, lo que aumenta la probabilidad de accidentes y problemas de salud. Por eso, el enfoque en la seguridad y salud en el trabajo resulta crucial para reducir estos riesgos.
El estudio también analizó el cumplimiento de las normativas ambientales en la región, y se observó que, aunque algunos talleres cumplían parcialmente con las regulaciones, había una falta de supervisión efectiva y un desconocimiento generalizado sobre la importancia de la gestión adecuada de los residuos peligrosos. Este panorama contribuyó a una serie de impactos negativos, como la contaminación del agua y del suelo, además de emisiones al aire.
Con base en estos hallazgos, el proyecto propuso una serie de estrategias para mejorar la gestión de los residuos, tales como la implementación de métodos de reciclaje, la mejora en el almacenamiento de desechos y la capacitación de los trabajadores en la correcta disposición de estos materiales. Se hizo hincapié en la necesidad de promover un cambio cultural dentro del sector automotriz, con el fin de minimizar las afectaciones al medio ambiente y la salud de la comunidad.

workshops in La Merced, Cúcuta, Norte de Santander, is managed, with an emphasis on occupational
health and safety. The research sought to identify the risks associated with improper waste
management, such as used oil, brake fluid, batteries, and other chemical waste, and propose measures
to improve the working and environmental conditions of workers in the sector.
La Merced is a key area for the local economy due to the large number of automotive workshops located
there, which provide important services to the community. However, these workshops also pose a risk to
the health of workers, who are in constant contact with hazardous products. Many of them lack
adequate training to handle these materials safely, which increases the likelihood of accidents and
health problems. Therefore, a focus on occupational health and safety is crucial to reducing these risks.
The study also analyzed compliance with environmental regulations in the region, and found that,
although some workshops partially complied, there was a lack of effective oversight and widespread
ignorance about the importance of proper hazardous waste management. This situation contributed to a
number of negative impacts, such as water and soil pollution, as well as air emissions.
Based on these findings, the project proposed several strategies to improve waste management, such as
implementing recycling methods, improving waste storage, and training workers in the proper disposal
of these materials. Emphasis was placed on the need to promote a cultural change within the
automotive sector to minimize impacts on the environment and community health
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Get PDFThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis

We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
