Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya fenomena bahwa industri di Jawa Timur sangat dibutuhkan untuk menopang industri di Pulau Jawa karena menipisnya kawasan industri di Jawa Barat. Jawa Timur sebagai kota besar kedua di Indonesia masih mengandalkan sektor industri sebagai penggerak ekonomi. maka Provinsi Jawa Timur akan mengembangkan koridor ekonomi yang potensial nanti kedepannya mampu memberikan sumbangan yang besar bagi PDRB. Dalam penelitian ini peneliti menghubungkan perkembangan produksi industri mikro dan kecil terhadappertumbuhan ekonomi di Jawa Timur.
Tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ialah untuk mengkaji pengaruh perkembangan industri mikro dan kecil terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi di Provinsi Jawa Timur tahun 2010 – 2017. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah uji regresi dan pendekatan kuantitatif. Teknik pengolahan data menggunakan SPSS 22 dengan data runtut waktu yang diperoleh dari BPS Jawa Timur pada periode 2010 – 2017. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik nonprobability sampling. Sementara itu teknik analisis data menggunakan uji normalitas data, uji autokorelasi, uji heteroskedasitas, uji regresi, uji hipotesis, dan uji koefisien determinasi.
Hasil pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji t menunjukkan bahwa secara parsial variabel tenaga kerja tidak memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi, sedangkan variabel ekspor dan jumlah unit usaha secara parsial berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi. Kemudian melalui uji F dapat diketahui bahwa variabel tenaga kerja, ekspor, dan jumlah unit industri mikro dan kecil berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi.

Salah satu pengalaman yang unik bagi manusia adalah pengalaman spiritual. Pengalaman spiritual adalah pengalaman yang bersifat subjektif dan hanya bisa diketahui oleh orang yang merasakannya. Pengalaman spiritual ini seringkali didapatkan melalui pemaknaan ajaran agama. Secara psikologis, manusia sangat sulit dipisahkan dengan agama, termasuk dalam gaya atau pola hidup seseorang didasarkan menurut agama yang diyakininya. Karena agama menyangkut nilai baik dan buruk dalam segala aktifitas seseorang. Penulis tertarik mengamil objek pada perguruan pencak silat pagar nusa sunan giri. karena dalam pencak silat ini mengandung makna religius yan dapat menjadikan manusia berbudi pekrti luhur yang di dalamnya terdapat nilai sakralitas pada ajaran islam.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) mengetahui latar belakang dari Perguruan Pencak silat Pagar Nusa Sunan Giri. 2) mengetahui metode pendidikan sepiritual dalam pelatihan pencak silat di perguruan pencak silat Pagar Nusa sunan giri. 3) mengetahui bagaimana dzikir “allahu” dalam pelatihan pencak silat berpengaruh terhadap karakter santri pencak silat Pagar Nusa Sunan Giri.
Dalam penyusunan penelitian ini, menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan ialah, wawancara mendalam semi terstruktur. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah metode analisis data fenomenologi yang dikemukakan oleh Cresswel.
Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Pengamalan dzikir "Allahu" dalam organisasi pencak silat Pagar Nusa Sunan Giri memiliki peran yang sangat penting, baik dalam praktik spiritual maupun fisik para pesilat. Dzikir ini menjadi bagian integral dari latihan pencak silat dan menggabungkan dimensi spiritual ke dalam setiap gerakan. Setiap pesilat mengucapkan lafadz "Allahu" dengan cara yang sudah ditentukan, yaitu dengan menyebut "Allah" dalam hati dan mengucapkan "hu" dengan suara. Pengintegrasian dzikir ini membantu pesilat dalam meningkatkan fokus dan konsentrasi, yang penting bagi performa fisik dan spiritual mereka. Dzikir "Allahu" memberikan makna yang lebih dalam pada latihan silat, menjadikannya sebagai alat pengendalian diri dan pengingat akan kehadiran Allah dalam setiap gerakan. 2) Dzikir "Allahu" di organisasi Pagar Nusa Sunan Giri tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai ritual spiritual, tetapi juga sebagai landasan moral dan panduan hidup yang mempengaruhi sikap, perilaku, serta hubungan sosial para pesilat. Dzikir ini memberikan dampak positif yang signifikan dalam membantu mereka menjadi individu yang lebih sabar, rendah hati, dan penuh rasa syukur, sekaligus memperkuat ikatan persaudaraan dan solidaritas di antara sesama anggota. Dengan demikian, dzikir "Allahu" menjadi alat yang tidak hanya mengembangkan aspek spiritual para pesilat, tetapi juga membentuk kepribadian mereka dalam kehidupan sehari-hari

A survey collected data on 579 women with chronic pelvic pain. Engagement in specific daily activities and its effect on increasing symptoms was examined. Results indicate that educating pelvic pain clients in health behaviors can improve their management of symptoms and reengagement in occupations.

Autoimmunities after COVID: An Interview with Cindy Patton
No full textCindy Patton is Professor Emeritus of Sociology and Anthropology at Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, Canada. An early AIDS activist in Boston, she holds a PhD in Communications from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. After inaugurating her academic career at Temple University (Rhetoric and Community) and Emory University (Graduate Institute of the Liberal Arts), she accepted a Canada Research Chair in Community, Culture and Health at Simon Fraser (2003-15). In that capacity, she worked with more than two dozen groups to develop small community-driven projects related to HIV/AIDS, housing, social welfare, mental health, while achieving, culminating in the creation of the Community Health Online Digital Research Resource, a catalogued, open-access, full-text collection of the materials from those groups (www.chodarr.org). Her academic publications span the social study of medicine, especially AIDS; social movement theory; gender studies; and media studies. She is the coeditor of Queer Diasporas (2000) and a special issue of Cultural Studies on Pierre Bourdieu (2003). She is the author of such works as Globalizing AIDS (2002), Cinematic Identity: Anatomy of a Problem Film (1997), Fatal Advice: How Safe-Sex Education Went Wrong (1996), Inventing AIDS (1990), and LA Plays Itself/Boys in the Sand: A Queer Film Classic (2014).
Taken collectively, Patton’s scholarship and activism has laid the foundation for insights in the health humanities, particularly AIDS studies, that consider the inextricable connections between epidemiology and ideology. Patton’s theorizations of stigma and discrimination patterns, her deconstruction of “truth” discourses subtending science, her critical re-evaluations of axioms associated with risk, safe sex, community, and knowledge production have been crucial interventions in the understanding of health and illness as cultural and discursive scripts. Among Patton’s most enduring contributions has been her theorization of how “African AIDS” was invented and circulated—that is, the notion of geographically bifurcated HIV pandemics split by the essential linkage between Africa and blackness generally with pathogenesis. Equally influential has been her elaboration of the insurgent queer research practices that fused with antiracist struggle to combat this split.

No full textHarriet Beecher Stowe's most famous introduction took place on or around Thanksgiving Day, 1862, when she was introduced to President Abraham Lincoln, who allegedly greeted her with these memorable words, “So you're the little woman who wrote the book that made this great war! ” Even if we grant Lincoln's statement its obvious degree of ironic intention, he, nevertheless, makes quite a claim for the impact of Uncle Tom's Cabin on American history. One glance at virtually any of Lincoln's speeches reveals that he, like Stowe, believed that the power of words could alter the minds and hearts of individuals. Stowe's faith in the transforming capacity of language makes a great deal of sense, given that she came from a distinguished family of ministers and social activists - in an 1851 letter to Frederick Douglass, she writes, “I am a ministers daughter - a ministers wife & I have had six brothers in the ministry . . . & I certainly ought to know something of the feelings of ministers.” Stowe here refers to her father, Lyman Beecher, President of Lane Seminary, her husband, Calvin Stowe, who served at various times as Professor at Lane Seminary, Professor of the Chair of Sacred Literature at Andover Theological Seminary and Professor at Bowdoin College, and her brothers, the most famous of whom was Henry Ward Beecher, head of the prestigious Congregationalist Plymouth Church in Brooklyn and anti-slavery activist. This list, it should be noted, doesn’t even mention her influential sisters, Catharine Beecher, founder of the Hartford Female Seminary and author of many tracts, including A Treatise on Domestic Economy, and Isabelle Beecher Hooker, whose close ties to Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Susan B. Anthony made Isabelle an important figure in the campaign for women’s rights. To what extent Stowe’s own words of ministration and protest catapulted the nation toward Civil War is an unanswerable question, but clearly Stowe wanted her novel to bring about great social change and Lincoln thought she had succeeded
