CONFLICTS AND SEGREGATION OF HOUSING CLUSTER COMMUNITIES AND ITS SURROUNDING
Since it was first studied by Leicsh (2002), the phenomenon of housing cluster in Indonesia has changed significantly. Fourteen years have changed everything, and these changes are caused by local governments. Now, developers are more inclined and prefer to build a housing cluster, and tragically it is located in the middle of local neighborhoods. In this case, gated communities are more apparent than fourteen years ago. Through the Mann Whitney U test, it turns out that there is dissimilarity among people in the housing cluster with people in the local neighborhood, and it has even shown a confrontational conflict. The issues of the conflict revolve around conflict of interest, access-to and use-off the road. At the same time, people in the housing cluster and local neighborhood are segregated. Segregation in Indonesia occurs in both areas with different tension. However, voluntary and involuntary segregation could not fully answer the case of residential segregation in the suburb of this country. Hence, segregation is created not because of the preferences of people in both areas, but y and for an economic and social system of development policy. Using Critical Discourse Analysis, this paper demonstrates the emergence of new patterns of residential segregation, namely systemic spatial segregation. Keywords: Housing, Gated Communities, Housing Cluster, Segregation, Systemic Spatial Segregation</jats:p
Consumer Preferences for Coconut Shell Charcoal in Suburban Indonesia
Suburbs in Indonesia are not only characterized by the presence of residential areas, but also trading activities. These activities exist in order to support the needs of residents for goods and/or services. The complicated process that involves pull and push factors causes the suburbs to be well-known as economically potential areas, especially for micro, small, medium and large enterprises. One example of the trading subsectors is restaurants, both micro enterprises with traditional management and franchises patterns with professional management. Most of these restaurants provide barbequed menus which consume shell coconut charcoal. Then the question arises, is the quality of those commodity is the only reason for the restaurants in using it? This paper presents the elaboration of the research on consumer preferences in a suburban area of the consumption of coconut shell charcoal. By using the Fishbein Model, it is concluded that the aspect of belief and price attribute are in the first rank, which shows that those commodity is an expensive fuel, while the second rank is quality. The rest are models and after-sales service, respectively. From the aspect of evaluation, the respondents believe that quality is in the first rank that should be improved in the future. The second is price and the rest are after-sales service, packaging and models, respectively
AUTONOMY POLICY AND SOCIAL WELFARE IN TANGERANG CITY
The paper analyzes the effect of public expenditure and the implementation of local autonomy policy on Human Development Index (HDI). The paper uses Principal Component Regression Analysis to conduct the analysis. The result shows that public expenditure has a positive effect on HDI. It also finds that the increase in HDI is bigger post the implementation of local autonomy policy. The elasticity of each coefficient of public expenditure are as follows: 1.58 for agriculture sector; 0.94 for education sector; 0.36 for health sector; 0.44 for housing sector; 0.61for infrastructure sector, and 0.70 for GRDP.

The Political Geography of Voters and Political Participation: Evidence from Local Election in Suburban Indonesia
The praxis of political issue including voter turnout and political participation does not exist in a vacuum. Therefore, geographical and spatial issues are frequently engaged and even embedded into it. Thus, this article is written with one purpose: to investigate the spatial relationship of voter turnout and their political participation. As stated earlier, the complexity of the political analysis based on geography will take us on a multidimensional approach that includes social, cultural and economy. However, this article starts the discussion from spatial analysis by using a map that illustrates the administrative boundaries of a region, then determining whether one region is adjacent to another. In this case, Moran’s I is used to determine the spatial autocorrelation of voter turnout and political participation. The result indicates that the voter turnout and political participation in one region are adjacent to each other. Possible reasons for the result are discussed in this article
Residential Area and Income Inequality in Suburban Indonesia
Suburban becomes footing for the population who migrate from rural to urban areas, especially from living
and housing. Similarly, when the population in urban areas assume that the city is no longer comfortable to their live,
so the only possible choice for them is moving to suburb. The subsequent impact of the phenomenon is tremendous
construction of residential areas as a result of the high demand for housing. The problem then is the construction of
residential areas often neglect the interests of the local neighborhood. Thus, the residential area becomes a kind of modern
residential area in a local neighborhood. Then it widen its impacts of inequality between communities in residential
area with communities in local neighborhood. This paper presents the finding that contributor of income inequality in
suburbs areas in Indonesia comes from a modern residential area. The evidence for the argument is the result of Theil
Entropy Index calculation on modern residential area is higher than the traditional residential area, which is respectively

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
