Forecasting Models for Non Continuative Production Systems Application in Fashion Industry
Particular kind of Production Systems move to substitute always more quickly their offering, defining new products with new proprieties in order to be competitive and enlarge target market. This is the case of a lot of industries, and one of the most representative is Fashion Industries. With changes of patterns, season by season and year by year, is impossible to analyze historical data series and apply traditional forecast models to evaluate expected sales. Are presented models, processes and applications to perform forecast in non continuative offering, basing on dynamic defining of comparative data between opposite seasons, sales campaign periods alignment, forecast algorithms, splitting bills definition to grant industrial forecast related to every single pattern (model, color, size), forcing tools to complete mathematical proposing with market evolution and enterprise directives
ADVANCED MODELS FOR INNOVATIVE DECISION SUPPORT SYSTEMS IN BROADCASTING SCHEDULE PLANNING & MANAGEMENT
The paper describes a set of advanced models to support strategic and operative decision in the television schedule planning and to analyze and to control related activities.
The research focus is to define support systems for modeling this complex scenario and its variables, and for permitting the elaboration and implementation of efficient strategies in the related management; in this context this kind of model is a critical to support marketing and advertising space allocation, broadcast planning, share parameter analysis and control, evaluation of the accuracy of the forecast activities and the effectiveness of implemented strategies
Stakeholders Satisfaction in Retail Business Based on Innovative Model Solution
The paper proposes focuses on an innovative
integrated work’s island model for retail business.
The system required simulation for properly
computation of workload and number of workers
required in each island; the proposed case was
implemented for 14 stores of a leader brand in retail
business, supporting both Ipermarkets and
Supermarkets network
Advanced models for performance control in supermarket logistics management
The present research concerning the application of an
innovative and advanced set of models and key indexes
for performance control, devoted to logistics
management in supermarkets.
Efficient check, evaluation and monitoring of
significant variables make possible to estimate the
improvements due to implementation of innovative
technologies, with consideration to the company
system for inventory management and to the demand
forecast models applied to retail stores
"Multilevel Forecasting Models in Manufacturing Systems"
This paper proposes an approach in organizing data
into hierarchical structures for multilevel forecasting
with special attention to finished products in
manufacturing sector. The methodology looks forward
to identify the proper aggregation level to perform the
analysis over a proper data set and the authors provide
experimental results over a case study as example
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
