Fuzzy sliding mode control design for a class of disturbed systems
Link to a related website: https://digital.library.adelaide.edu.au/dspace/bitstream/2440/84469/2/hdl_84469.pdf, Open Access via UnpaywallThis paper discusses the problem of the fuzzy sliding mode control for a class of disturbed systems. First, a fuzzy auxiliary controller is constructed based on a feedback signal not only to estimate the unknown control term, but also participates in the sliding mode control due to the fuzzy rule employed. Then, we extend our theory into the cases, where some kind of system information can not be obtained, for better use of our theoretical results in real engineering. Finally, some typical numerical examples are included to demonstrate the effectiveness and advantage of the designed sliding mode controller.Bo Wang, Peng Shi, Hamid Reza Karim

Correction to: Identification of tRNA nucleoside modification genes critical for stress response and development in rice and Arabidopsis
Correction Following publication of the original article [1], the authors reported that there was a mistake in the presentation of their funding information. The sentence “This study was supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (31,100,268 to Peng Chen, 31,270,658 to Bo Zheng);” should instead read “This study was supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (31100268 to Peng Chen, 31370604 to Bo Zheng);”

Massekhet Keritot. Text, Translation and Commentary. A Feminist Commentary on the Babylonian Talmud
The tractate Keritot of the Babylonian Talmud belongs to the Order of Qodashim in the Mishnah. It discusses the Temple and its rituals, especially sacrifices, but deals mostly with laws of incest, sexual transgressions, childbirth, and miscarriages. In this commentary, Federico Dal Bo provides a historical, philological and philosophical investigation on these gender issues. He discusses almost the entire tractate, referring to many other sources, Jewish (the Dead Sea Scrolls, the Sifra, and other rabbinic texts) as well as non-Jewish (Akkadian, Hittite, and Ugaritic). The author also provides accurate philological observations both on the Mishnah and the Gemara. Finally, he addresses gender issues by combining a reductionistic approach to Talmudic study (the so called "Brisker method") with philosophical deconstruction. Dal Bo shows that in nearly the entire tractate Keritot the rabbis discuss human sexuality in a tendentious and restrictive way, claiming that heterosexuality is the only proper sexual contact and progressively stigmatizing any other kind of sexual behavior
"Han Peng Fu": Quellenstudie, Edition und Übersetzung
At the beginning of the 20th century an immense library of medieval manuscripts was discovered in the caves of Dunhuang in northwest China. Among these manuscripts there is a relatively small body of vernacular texts that shed new light on the opaque history of literature written by the Chinese non-elite. This article presents an emended edition and a German translation of the five remaining manuscripts of “Han Peng fu”, arguably one of the most moving and heart-warming vernacular texts recovered at Dunhuang. Set in the period of the Warring States, “Han Peng fu” tells the romantic and tragic story of the young Zhenfu and her husband Han Peng, whose fate is to unite only in death to which they are driven by the malicious schemes of the King of Song and his cunning advisor Liang Bo. Comparing “Han Peng fu” with other existing versions of the legend of Han Peng found on Bamboo strips from the late Western Han Dynasty and included in some later works such as Lieyi zhuan, Yuejue shu and Soushen ji, this article further studies the tradition of this narrative and identifies possible connections to other famous lores such as Meng Jiang nü, Kongque dongnan fei, Liang Shanbo yu Zhu Yingtai, and the legend of Xishi
