Women Characters in Daniel Defoe's Novels "Roxana" and "Moll Flanders"
The goal of the present Bachelor Paper is to investigate women character in Daniel Defoe’s famous novels - „ Moll Flanders” and „Roxana”. In order to achieve the aim, the author analyzes the above mentioned novels together with the corresponding theoretical sources. The research paper illustrates the peculiarities of each novel in detail and compares them from Defoe’s perspective as well as in the light of feminist ideas. Moll and Roxana personify typical middle-class women with an ordinary aspiration to grow rich and be loved; their difference lies in the fact that Moll strives to create a happy family, but Roxana, on the contrary, tries all ways to avoid it. Hence, re-reading these pieces of writing, women of the eighteenth century England recognized themselves in Moll and Roxana. The BA degree seeker concludes that Moll and Roxana are strong women with character, able to struggle for their rights and freedom of speech, proving that women are equal to men and deserve respectfulness in relations

Artificial intelligence is a reality and it evolves every day, it simplifies life where it is used in the human’s interest, being already applied in many fields. Is there any risk of moving away from the noble goal of being at the service of the collective good and of being used against people to limit fundamental rights and freedoms? Is there any risk that the totalitarian society will re-establish itself, this time on a global level? THE ROLE OF BLOCKCHAIN TECHNOLOGY IN THE UNIVERSAL METAVERSE FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF COMPETITIVE RELATIONS IN BUSINESS. CHALLENGES AND UNCERTAINTIES
Blockchain technology is becoming one of the most prominent trends in finance and digital innovation since the creation of the Internet. Blockchain technology makes data private, permanent and verifiable. Data and transaction logging is public, but encryption protects them from prying eyes and tampering. The architecture of the blockchain database and the associated protocols provide a solid foundation for creating new classes of applications. This is just the theory. In practice, however, blockchain technology has proven to be somewhat less miraculous. It is powerful and effective in a wide range of areas, but in addition to the well-publicized benefits of blockchain, experts have discovered a set of disadvantages of blockchain technology. That's why the Bitcoin blockchain is often referred to as the "open register" of Bitcoin. Experts around the world, with the exception of a few skeptics, see blockchain as a high-impact technology that has the potential to revolutionize the world of finance, gaming, entertainment and more. Starting from the analysis carried out by specialists in the field on their website, and from information on this technology, the present study brings some arguments to draw the attention of the more or less informed reader to the risks and dangers to which they are exposed and to whom this technology is applied in sensitive areas regarding the life, health, freedom and privacy of the citizens of this planet.Even if the role of this technology in some fields is undeniable, it must still be treated with great care from the perspective of respecting the fundamental rights and freedoms of human beings, the universal values that mankind has gained in centuries of human effort and sacrifice for current and future generations to evolve without repeating the mistakes of history. History makes fun of those who do not know it, repeating itself, said Nicola Iorga
„STABILITY AND GROWTH PACT, COMMUNITY DOCUMENT „REVIVED” IN THE CURRENT GLOBAL ECONOMIC CRISIS”
The article proposes to make a reasoned radiography Stability and Growth Pact, EU document revived therefore need to strengthen financial discipline and budget 6 to 7 September 2010 meeting of the Economic and Financial Affairs Council (ECOFIN). He talked about the introduction of the Stability and Growth in a 'European quarter' which will be monitored in structural and fiscal policies of the Member States. He also held a first exchange of views about the possible introduction of a levy on banks and a tax on financial transactions. Thus, the European Union has moved to create the world's first supranational system of control over the financial markets, particularly in order to reduce the risk of global financial crisis. The system will act in early 2011. For the first time in history, European financial control agencies will have more seats than national governments. In addition, the European Central Bank will see a branch that will track the emergence of crisis risk. The financial crisis has diminished the EU's growth potential, and made it clear just how interdependent its members' economies are, particularly inside the eurozone. The most important priority now is to restore growth and create effective mechanisms for regulating financial markets - in Europe and internationally. In strengthening its system of economic governance, Europe must learn from previous shortcomings which have put the financial stability of the whole eurozone at risk:- poor observance of the EU's sound rules and procedures for economic policy coordination- insufficient reduction in public debt during the good times – with peer pressure proving an adequate incentive- failure to deal effectively with the build-up of macroeconomic imbalances - despite the Commission's warnings – resulting in high current account deficits, large external indebtedness and high public debt levels in a number of countries (above the official 60% limit for eurozone countries). Greater economic policy coordination in the EU will be achieved by tools designed to:- strengthen the preventive and corrective arms of the Stability & Growth Pact- address imbalances through stronger macroeconomic surveillance, including alert and sanction mechanisms- set out effective enforcement mechanisms to ensure that member countries will act in compliance with the EU framework they have agreed

The area is dedicated, since 1995, to responding to the needs on heritage conservation that social groups request. Throughout these years, the area has worked with a great diversity of communities and kinds of heritage. This has permitted the generation of a substantial corpus of knowledge and strategies for social interaction and education-for-conservation. Since 2016 the area started a systematization and organization process for all this information with the intent of homologating it with the institutional reporting systems and within the area itself. This process included the standardization of terms, hierarchy of objectives, and the definition of steps to follow in order to properly apply and use the many social tools available. This paper intends to share both the process and its results to further disseminate to specialists on cultural heritage the importance of including society in their work and the offer that this area of the CNCPC makes available for that purpose
Characterising acute and chronic care needs: insights from the Global Burden of Disease Study 2019
Chronic care manages long-term, progressive conditions, while acute care addresses short-term conditions. Chronic conditions increasingly strain health systems, which are often unprepared for these demands. This study examines the burden of conditions requiring acute versus chronic care, including sequelae. Conditions and sequelae from the Global Burden of Diseases Study 2019 were classified into acute or chronic care categories. Data were analysed by age, sex, and socio-demographic index, presenting total numbers and contributions to burden metrics such as Disability-Adjusted Life Years (DALYs), Years Lived with Disability (YLD), and Years of Life Lost (YLL). Approximately 68% of DALYs were attributed to chronic care, while 27% were due to acute care. Chronic care needs increased with age, representing 86% of YLDs and 71% of YLLs, and accounting for 93% of YLDs from sequelae. These findings highlight that chronic care needs far exceed acute care needs globally, necessitating health systems to adapt accordingly.

Intraoperative transfusion practices in Europe
© 2016 The Author. Published by Oxford University Press on behalf of the British Journal of Anaesthesia. Background: Transfusion of allogeneic blood influences outcome after surgery. Despite widespread availability of transfusion guidelines, transfusion practices might vary among physicians, departments, hospitals and countries. Our aim was to determine the amount of packed red blood cells (pRBC) and blood products transfused intraoperatively, and to describe factors determining transfusion throughout Europe. Methods: We did a prospective observational cohort study enrolling 5803 patients in 126 European centres that received at least one pRBC unit intraoperatively, during a continuous three month period in 2013. Results: The overall intraoperative transfusion rate was 1.8%; 59% of transfusions were at least partially initiated as a result of a physiological transfusion trigger- mostly because of hypotension (55.4%) and/or tachycardia (30.7%). Haemoglobin (Hb)- based transfusion trigger alone initiated only 8.5% of transfusions. The Hb concentration [mean (sd)] just before transfusion was 8.1 (1.7) g dl-1 and increased to 9.8 (1.8) g dl-1 after transfusion. The mean number of intraoperatively transfused pRBC units was 2.5 (2.7) units (median 2). Conclusions: Although European Society of Anaesthesiology transfusion guidelines are moderately implemented in Europe with respect to Hb threshold for transfusion (7-9 g dl-1), there is still an urgent need for further educational efforts that focus on the number of pRBC units to be transfused at this threshold
