Biological components comprising the ecological biotopes of the shelf region are controlled by the physico-chemical parameters and the concentration of a substance within sediments. The assessment of the situation and the general knowledge of the active processes can be obtained by investigating the changes in species content of various groups of living organisms. The pollution of marine environments by organic byproducts causes noticeable influence on the ostracod communities (Kravtsov et al. 2007)

Three isostructural cyanido-bridged heptanuclear complexes, [{Cu II(saldmen)(H2O)}6{MIII(CN) 6}](ClO4)3·8H2O (M = Fe III2; CoIII, 3; CrIII4), have been obtained by reacting the dinuclear copper(ii) complex, [Cu2(saldmen) 2(μ-H2O)(H2O)2](ClO 4)2·2H2O 1, with K3[Co(CN) 6], K4[Fe(CN)6], and K3[Cr(CN) 6], respectively (Hsaldmen is the Schiff base resulting from the condensation of salicylaldehyde with N,N-dimethylethylenediamine). A unique octameric water cluster, with bicyclo[2,2,2]octane-like structure, is sandwiched between the heptanuclear cations in 2, 3 and 4. The cryomagnetic investigations of compounds 2 and 4 reveal ferromagnetic couplings of the central Fe III or CrIII ions with the CuII ions (J CuFe = +0.87 cm-1, JCuCr = +30.4 cm -1). The intramolecular Cu⋯Cu exchange interaction in 3, across the diamagnetic cobalt(iii) ion, is -0.3 cm-1. The solid-state 1H-NMR spectra of compounds 2 and 3 have been investigated

Crystal structure and physical properties of YbCuZnSb2

No full text
The crystal structure of YbCuZnSb2 has been determined for the first time by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. It is shown that YbCuZnSb2 has a CaAl2Si2-type structure, space group is P-3m1, with the following unit cell parameters: a = 4.4394(1) and c = 7.4139(3) . Magnetic susceptibility measurements performed in the temperature range from 2 to 300 K show that ytterbium ions are found in a nonmagnetic 4f (14) ground state (Yb2+). YbCuZnSb2 exhibits p-type conductivity. The temperature dependence of the resistivity has a metallic character. The variations in the Cu/Zn ratio in the synthesized material occur without any disturbance of the structural type. This fact may confirm the existence of a solid solution between the YbZn2Sb2 and YbCuZnSb2 compounds

Martina Kerscher,1 Karla Agsten,2 Maria Kravtsov,3 Welf Prager4 1Department of Cosmetic Science, University of Hamburg, 2SCIderm GmbH, Hamburg, Germany; 3Anteis S.A., Geneva, Switzerland; 4Prager & Partner Dermatologische Praxis, Hamburg, Germany Background: Enhancement of the midface can be achieved with volumizing hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers. Objective: The objective of this study was to compare the safety and effectiveness of Cohesive Polydensified Matrix® 26 mg/mL HA gel (CPM-26) and Vycross® 20 mg/ml HA gel (VYC-20) in a controlled, randomized, evaluator-blind, split-face clinical study.Patients and methods: Subjects with moderate-to-severe malar volume loss on the Merz Aesthetics Scale (MAS) received CPM-26 on one side and VYC-20 on the contralateral side of the face. Effectiveness assessments were performed by blinded evaluators including photographic and live MAS ratings and live Global Aesthetic Improvement Scale (GAIS) ratings. Calculations of anatomical volume variations at month 3 (M3), month 6 (M6), month 12 (M12) and month 18 (M18) were also performed. Results: Non-inferiority of CPM-26 versus VYC-20 was demonstrated at M3 (primary end point) based on MAS. GAIS rating showed that significantly more subjects had better improvement with CPM-26 than with VYC-20 at month 1, M3, M12 and M18 (p=0.0032, p=0.0074, p=0.0384 and p=0.0110, respectively). Standardized evaluation of volume variations from baseline to M3, M12 and M18 showed that CPM-26 created more volume augmentation at all time points, and the difference was significant at M3.Conclusion: CPM-26 was non-inferior to VYC-20 based on MAS ratings at M3 and demonstrated a favorable safety and effectiveness profile for midfacial volume enhancement with results lasting up to M18. No full text
In this article author discussing the problem of creativity in context of studying of deviant behavior. The author shows the results of several research of criminal that are underage and normal teenagers creativity abilities. The results of this research appears to be paradoxical, pointing non-linear structure of creativity abilities. By the other words it could be not definitely assert, that low result by creativity tests means low creativity abilities of the respondents with deviant behavior. That is, adolescents with deviant behavior, doing poorly with creativity tests, show very high creative abilities, for example, in the social sphere. According author opinion one of the possible way of overcoming that difficulties is L.S. Vygotsky’s cultural-historical approach. Studying of play activity and imagination development shows, that it is quality differences between deviant and normal persons. The author refers to them object level of development of imagination and stuck on the director's game, low level of imagination and lack of formation of the subject of imagination and play activity

The PolFusion Experiment: Measurement of the d-d-Fusion Spin-Dependence

No full text
A double-polarized dd-fusion experiment is under preparation at PNPI, Gatchina. The experimental program includes themeasurements of the asymmetry in the differential cross section of the reactions d_pol + d_pol → 3He + n and d_pol + d_pol → t + p. The spin-correlation coefficients Cz,z and Czz,zz will be measured to determine the quintet-state suppression factors for both reactions, for which quite different theoretical predictions were made and which are very important for the design of future neutron-lean fusion reactors. The total cross sectionmodification for polarized d–d fusion will also be investigated. An increase by a factor of 1.5 was already deduced for the d + 3He and the d + t reactions. The experimental setup and the future upgrade plans are described
