No full textQuim Monzó (born Barcelona, 1952) is considered Catalonia’s most influential contemporary author, his work studied as a catalyst for the modernization of Catalan culture after General Franco’s death in 1975. Analysing Quim Monzó’s trajectory from countercultural artist in 1970s Barcelona to celebrity intellectual in the present day, Colom-Montero argues that Monzó’s work encapsulates many of the cultural, aesthetic and political tensions in post-Francoist Catalonia. Offering first-time English-language analyses of Monzó’s multifaceted artistic trajectory (including political cartoons, translations, journalistic writing, media collaborations and social media persona) as well as new close readings of some of his better-known literary texts, Colom-Montero maps the paradigmatic cultural shifts that have characterized the transition from late Francoist to autonomous and post-referendum Catalonia. At a time of deepening divisions between Catalonia and Spain, in this book Monzó emerges as an author and public intellectual aiming to build a Catalan politico-cultural sphere different from and opposed to that of Spain

No full textAquest article analitza l'element sobrenatural en La senyoreta Keaton i altres bèsties, un recull de contes de Teresa Colom, amb una especial atenció en els personatges dels nens, els quals tenen algun tret que els fa diferents i els emparenta amb la figura del monstre. Partint de la distinció entre el fantàstic clàssic i el fantàstic del segle XX, estudiarem el concepte de realitat en l'obra, una realitat més oberta en què s'han superat els límits de la raó amb la inclusió dels somnis, l'art i el llenguatge. Tot seguit, ens centrarem en dues característiques definitòries d'aquestes bèsties: la innocència inherent, sense prejudicis, així com el tipus de relació -d'una banda, assimilació i naturalització de la diferència; d'una altra, rebuig- que estableixen amb l'entorn, per tal de comprovar que els autèntics monstres, si més no, morals, no són els nens.This essay analyses the supernatural element in La senyoreta Keaton i altres bèsties, a compilation of short stories by Teresa Colom, paying special attention to the children's characters, who have some feature which makes them different and which relates them with the figure of the monster. On the basis of the distinction between the classic fantastic and the fantastic from the 20th century, we study the concept of reality in this work, a more open reality where the limits of reason have been exceeded with the inclusion of dreams, art and language. Then, we focus on two defining characteristics of these beasts: their intrinsic unprejudiced innocence, as well as the kind of relationship -on the one hand, the assimilation and naturalization of the difference; on the other hand, the rejection- they establish with the environment. Due to this distinction, we realise that the real monsters, at least from the point of view of what is moral, are not the children

As it is described in this book - Sampietro-Colom et al. [1] - a number of hospitals around the world have started using HB-HTA, and many hospitals have demonstrated positive impact of this approach. However, to what degree does the content of HB - HTA products comply with the need for information by the decision makers? This question has not been studied at an international level before the AdHopHTa project was carried out, and below the results will be described.</p
