Full text linkThis paper reconstructs the birth and first development of food narratives build around the relationship between food and territory. These developed firstly in France between the 18th and 19th century becoming common throughout Europe since the early 20th century. Focussing on the Italian case within the European context, the paper highlights three main points: the ethnocentric character of the classification of regional cuisines during Fascism; the role of marketing in “inventing” territorial food identities; and the “nostalgic turn” in the commercial promotion of “genuine” foods. In its final remarks the paper asks for a deconstruction of any essentialisation of the food/territory relationship
La genesi internazionale della prima classe dirigente comunista in Emilia-Romagna
No full textIl saggio ricostruisce il contesto internazionale nel quale si formò la classe dirigente comunista in Emilia-Romagna. A partire dalla mobilitazione pacifista nella prima guerra mondiale, che vide emergere un nuova generazione politica nel campo socialista in regione, il saggio analizza lo svolgimento del Secondo Congresso dell'Internazionale Comunista (1920), la fondazione del Partito comunista d'Italia a Livorno e i successivi passi del consolidamento di una giovane classe dirigente comunista in regione che ebbe nell’esilio francese e moscovita i principali momenti di maturazione e affermazione. Vengono ricostruite le esperienze di formazione in Russia e il contraddittorio percorso politico che condusse il partito fino allo scoppio della Seconda guerra mondiale. Ciò che emerge è la centralità della dimensione internazionale nella storia di un partito che è spesso stato schiacciato nella sua dimensione regionale
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Full text linkThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
