    Paracantha trinotata (Foote), new combination Figs. 53, 63–64, 102 Laksyetsa trinotata Foote 1978: 29. Biology. The only previously reported host plant is Dahlia tenuicaulis Sorenson (Foote 1978). We also reared it from D. imperialis Roezl (Asteraceae: Coreopsideae) (Fig. 65) in Mexico and Guatemala. The larvae feed and pupate in the capitulum (Fig. 63–64). Distribution. Mexico (Durango, Morelos, Oaxaca) and Guatemala. Previously known only from mountainous areas in Mexico, including the Sierra Madre Occidental (Durango), the transverse volcanic belt (Morelos), and the Sierra Madre del Sur (Oaxaca), P. trinotata also occurs in highland areas of Guatemala (Jalapa, Sacatepéquez, Totonicapán).     Phaeophleospora eugeniae Rangel, the type species of Phaeophleospora Rangel, has recently been collected and cultured from leaf spots of Eugenia uniflora L. in Brazil. Based on its brown, verruculose, percurrently proliferating conidiogenous cells, conidiomatal anatomy and conidial morphology, Phaeophleospora is resurrected as the earlier name for the recently established coelomycete genus, Kirramyces J. Walker, B. Sutton & I. Pascoe. New combinations are proposed for the seven former species of Kirramyces, namely P. destructans (W. J. Wingf. & Crous) Crous, F.A. Ferreira & B.     Bayesian inference analysis of unmodelled gravitational-wave transients

    We report the results of an in-depth analysis of the parameter estimation capabilities of BayesWave, an algorithm for the reconstruction of gravitational-wave signals without reference to a specific signal model. Using binary black hole signals, we compare BayesWave's performance to the theoretical best achievable performance in three key areas: sky localisation accuracy, signal/noise discrimination, and waveform reconstruction accuracy. BayesWave is most effective for signals that have very compact time-frequency representations. For binaries, where the signal time-frequency volume decreases as the system mass increases, we find that BayesWave's performance reaches or approaches theoretical optimal limits for system masses above approximately 50 M-circle dot. For such systems BayesWave is able to localise the source on the sky as well as templated Bayesian analyses that rely on a precise signal model, and it is better than timing-only triangulation in all cases. We also show that the discrimination of signals against glitches and noise closely follows analytical predictions, and that only a small fraction of signals are discarded as glitches at a false alarm rate of 1/100 yr. Finally, the match between BayesWave-reconstructed signals and injected signals is broadly consistent with first-principles estimates of the maximum possible accuracy, peaking at about 0.95 for high mass systems and decreasing for lower-mass systems. These results demonstrate the potential of unmodelled signal reconstruction techniques for gravitational-wave astronomy

    Drawing heavily on our earlier work in this area (Perry and Sutton 2006; forthcoming), this article discusses the issue of intimate interracial relationships (IIRs) within the context of the UK Government's current concerns with social cohesion and provides an overview of the literature on hate and prejudice against those in IIRs in the UK and USA. Following an examination of the official statistics and the numbers of mixed race people in England and Wales, we move on to provide a brief but disturbing glimpse of what it would mean if the BNP's long-term dream of winning a national election were actually to happen in light of their official website published proposed policies against IRRs and mixed heritage people
