Pembe Yalı'nın Yeniden İşlevlendirilmesi: Türkiye Mimari Mirası Koruma Bildirgesi ve Ahşap Mimari Mirasın Korunması için İlkeler Kapsamında Değerlendirme
It is known that Pembe Yalı, located in Beykoz District of Istanbul Province, was built in the 19th century. The building has the importance of being one of the 366 mansions in the Bosphorus, which are historical monuments. The aim of the study was to evaluate the project in the context of Icomos Turkey Architectural Heritage Conservation Charter. While preparing the study, the general scanning model and the documentary scanning model from qualitative research methods were used. By using the documentary scanning method, the old and new projects and photographs of the Pembe Yalı, which is the subject of the research, were accessed. The restoration process of the building, whose projects were prepared by the author and her team, was compiled from project and application experiences. Using the documentary scanning model, the Turkey Architectural Heritage Conservation Charter was examined and the Principles for the Conservation of Wooden Built Heritage were also taken into consideration. The findings were evaluated using the content analysis method. In the research, it is aimed to evaluate the structural problems, the methods used and the analysis and the refunctioning process of the Pink Mansion in the design phase. © 2025 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved
Formulation of the Reynolds equation on a time-dependent lubrication surface
The Reynolds equation, which describes the lubrication effect arising through the interaction of two physical surfaces that are separated by a thin fluid film, is formulated with respect to a continuously evolving third surface that is described by a time-dependent curvilinear coordinate system. The proposed formulation essentially addresses lubrication mechanics at interfaces undergoing large deformations and a priori satisfies all objectivity requirements, neither of which are features of the classical Reynolds equation. As such, this formulation may be particularly suitable for non-stationary elastohydrodynamic lubrication problems associated with soft interfaces. The ability of the formulation to capture finite-deformation effects and the influence of the choice of the third surface are illustrated through analytical examples. © 2016 The Author(s)
Bir üslub özelliği olarak Kur’an’da “de ki” hitabı
Kur’ân-ı Kerîm, kendine özgü bir ifade tarzına sahiptir. Bu özgün üslûbu ile o, bilinen diğer bütün sözlerden ayrılır. Bunun yansımalarından birisi, İlâhî Beyân’da defâatle (332 adet) yer alan ve emir kipinde olan ﴿قُلْ﴾ “de ki” lâfızlarıdır. Bu hitâpların öncelikli muhâtabı, tebliğcisi Hz. Peygamber’dir. Şu bir gerçektir ki, hiçbir yazar kendi eserinde kendisine emretmez. Bu açıdan bakıldığında, Kur’ân Yüce Allah’ın kelâmıdır, hükmünün doğruluğu ve bazı oryantalistlerin, Hz. Muhammed’in (s.a.s.) sözüdür, yargısının yanlışlığı açıkça görülür. Bu lâfızlar, Kur’ân’ın sözkonusu özgün üslûbunun bir yansıması olmanın yanında, kendi bünyesinde birtakım özelliklere de sahiptir. Bu özellikler; ﴿قُلْ﴾ hitâplarının bir takım mecâzî anlamları taşıması, bu doğrultuda anlamdaşlarının yerine tercihen kullanılmış olması, bütünüyle soru-cevap bağlamında yer alması ve bağlamı itibariyle Ulûhiyyet, nübüvvet ve vahiy gibi İslam dininin temel kavramlarına delâlet etmesi şeklinde özetlenebilir. Ayrıca bu lâfızların muhâtapları sadece Hz. Muhammed (s.a.s.) olmayıp, aynı zamanda bazı peygamberler ve bütün mü’minlerdir. Kur’ân’da çokça tekrar edilen bu lâfızların açıkça zikredilmeyenleri, yani takdîrî bulunanları da vardır. Bunlar 25 yerde yer alan mukadder/ mahzûf ﴿قُلْ﴾ lâfızlarıdır. Sözkonusu lâfızların açıkça zikredilmemesinin, Kur’ân âyetlerinin onun ruhuna uygun tarzda farklı açılardan yorumlanmasına imkan tanıdığı bir tesbît olarak zikredilebilir. ﴿قُلْ﴾ lâfızları, Kur’ân’ın vahiy ürünü olduğunu göstermenin yanında, bütün mü’minleri muhâtap almasıyla onun evrenselliğine ayrıca vurgu yapmaktadır.The Holy Qur’an has a unique style. By this specifity he is separated from other speeches whe know. One of these reflections is that The ﴿قُلْ﴾ “say”, command speech form which is repeated 332 times in The Qur’an. In these form The Prophet had been precedingly taking some orders. In fact, it is not logical that the author orders himself in his work. From that point of view, Qur’an must belong to Allah not belong to Mohammad (p.u.h.) neither word nor meaning. The ﴿قُلْ﴾ “say” forms, have also some special features in their structures. These features can be summarized as; 1) figuratively meaning, 2) being used in preferably exchange for their synonymous, 3) taking place in question-response context, 4) guiding the main concepts of Islam like Godhood, prophethood, revelation. These words are not only addressed to Mohammad (p.u.h.) but also to his followers and to the some prophets. It is important to say that The ﴿قُلْ﴾ “say” forms are sometimes mentioned in the Qur'an with their hidden forms. These forms are based in Qur'an 25 times. This style gives us opportunity to be commented the verses of The Qur'an on different points of view as long as the comments are suitible the aim (essence/ spirit??) of The Qur'an. In conclusion, The ﴿قُلْ﴾ “say” forms affirm that Qur’an had been written by revelation and also emphasise that Qur’an is universal by addressing to all believers
Planning under uncertainty for dynamic collision avoidance

Before unmanned aircraft can fly safely in civil airspace, robust airborne collision avoidance systems must be developed. Instead of hand-crafting a collision avoidance algorithm for every combination of sensor and aircraft configurations, we investigate automatic generation of collision avoidance algorithms given models of aircraft dynamics, sensor performance, and intruder behavior. We first formulate the problem within the Partially Observable Markov Decision Process (POMDP) framework, and use generic MDP/POMDP solvers offline to compute vertical-only avoidance strategies that optimize a cost function to balance flight-plan deviation with risk of collision. We then describe a second framework that performs online planning and allows for 3-D escape maneuvers by starting with possibly dangerous initial flight plans and improving them iteratively. Experimental results with four different sensor modalities and a parametric aircraft performance model demonstrate the suitability of both approaches.by Selim Temizer.Ph.D
Atrial Dissection‐Like Appearance Caused by an Inferior Sinus Venosus Atrial Septal Defect with an Unroofed Defect
Mini-Abstract Atrial dissection is an uncommon entity and is generally associated with mitral valve interventions. However, atrial dissection-like appearance has been also reported and atrial dissection might be considered as an important differential diagnosis. We present the interesting image of a left atrial dissection-like appearance, which was actually caused by a dilated unroofed coronary sinus (CS) with inferior sinus venosus (SV)-type atrial septal defect (ASD).Unexplained volume overload of right-sided chambers should prompt for careful evaluation for SV type of ASD (superior or inferior), unroofed CS type of ASD, and partial anomalous pulmonary venous drainage
Numerical and Experimental Investigation of the Flow Structure in a Diesel Engine with Different Piston Bowl Structure
In this study, unfired (cold) flow application was investigated in a single cylinder die-sel engine with different combustion chamber geometries. In the experimental study, images obtained with the help of an endoscopic camera for different cycle points were instantly detected at constant speed. At the same time, velocity distributions of two dif-ferent combustion chambers for different crank angles were analyzed in Ansys Forte software at before and after TDC. Thus, the flow distributions of different combustion chamber geometries in the chamber were compared. It can be said that regional swirl is formed in the newly developed combustion chamber geometry and develop in the chamber rather than the piston base compared to the standard combustion chamber. In addition, especially during the compression process, the squish movement of the bowl was observed with the movement of the piston. Here, it could be said that the newly de-veloped chamber geometry is more effective than the standard bowl geometry. When the distribution of velocity vectors in the x-y and x-z axis were examined in numerical analysis, especially in the TDC position, it was determined that the interaction of the flow developed by the new bowl geometry with the fuel droplets was more evident. While it is seen that the vector velocity changes are close to each other at the 6920 CA before the fuel injection, it is seen that higher flow velocities are formed for the standard combustion chamber at the 7200 CA where the spraying continues and develops. © 2022 by the Author(s).Türkiye Bilimsel ve Teknolojik Araştırma Kurumu, TÜBİTAK, (120M143
Tribological investigation of the new combustion chamber with wall-guided fuel injection in a diesel engine
Reducing pollutants and increasing thermal efficiency in internal combustion engines is possible by creating better air-fuel mixtures and optimizing the combustion process. In this context, a new combustion chamber providing directed fuel injection was used in a single cylinder diesel engine with a standard combustion chamber. Thus, it was aimed to investigate the tribological behavior of engines with different combustion chambers on long-term engine operation. In engine experiments using two different combustion chambers, the engine was operated at 100 h and partial load. The results of the study showed that changes in combustion chamber structure closely modify engine tribology under the same engine and operating conditions (compression ratio, spray angle and amount, speed, etc.). Looking at the cylinder surfaces examined under an optical microscope, the new combustion chamber showed abrasive wear lines with lower intensity than the standard combustion chamber, while SEM/EDX analysis of the piston ring surfaces showed a similar result. Especially when the analysis of the second ring used in the standard combustion chamber is examined, abrasion occurred in a wider area. Abrasive wear lines were found to be longer, especially in the first ring of the new combustion chamber. It is considered that combustion parameters and exhaust formation processes bring about load/temperature variations of engine lubricating oil and engine components in a chain reaction. Bu tez, Muhammed b. el-Bekri'nin el-Feydu'l-Kudsi Fi Fadli Âyeti'l-Kürsi adlı eserinin tahkik ve incelenmesi hakkındadır. Muhammed el-Bekri tefsir, fıkıh, hadis, arapça ve tasavvuf ilimlerinde bir çok önemli eserin müellifidir. Bununla birlikte, Muhammed el-Bekri öğrencilerine vermiş olduğu dersleri daha çok tefsir ve tasavvuf üzerinedir. el-Feydu'l-Kudsi Fi Fadli Âyeti'l-Kürsi risalesi, Ayete'l-Kürsi'nin faziletleri hakkındaki hadisleri kapsamaktadır. Bu hadisleri inceleyerek sıhhat derecelerini öğrenmek mümkündür. Bu tez iki bölümden oluşur: ellif, müellifin dönemi ve el-Feydu'l-Kudsi Fi Fadli Âyeti'l-Kürsi adlı eseri hakkındadır. Tezimizde müellifin kişisel ve ilmi kişiliği hakkında detaylı bir araştırma yapılmıştır. Müellifin yaşadığı dönemdeki ilimler hakkında ayrıntılı araştırma yapılmıştır. Özellikle dönemin müfessirleri yazmış oldukları tefsir eserleri hakkında geniş bilgilere yer verilmiştir. Daha sonra tahkiki yapılan eser hakkında önemli bilgilere yer verilmiştir. Bu kapsamda hazırlanan tezde; eserin müellifine nisbeti, elimizdeki eserin doğruluğu, müellifin metodolojisi, eserin kaynakları ve eserin ilmi eleştirisi konuları yer almaktadır. İkinci bölüm ise eserin tahkik bölümüdür. Metin çağdaş kavramlarla okuyucunun anlayabileceği bir şekilde hazırlanmış ancak müellifin vermek istediği mesajların orijinalliğine dikkat edilmiştir. Tezin son bölümüne sonuç ve öneriler yazılmış, kaynakça ve fihrist ek yapılmıştır.This thesis is a study and edit of the book (Al-Fayd al-Qudsi fi Fadl Ayat al-Kursi) by Imam alShaykh the Gnostic of Allah Muhammad ibn Abi alHasan alBakri. Shaykh Muhammad alBakri was not only specialized in exegesis, but was an imam in jurisprudence, hadith and Tasawwuf, yet most of his gatherings and lessons were in Tasawwuf and Qur'anic exegesis. This book is considered a collection of hadiths about the virtues of Ayat al-Kursi, that, through which it is possible to study these hadith and study their respective chains of transmission, plus to look at their totality in order to know the degree of their authenticity and the extent of their acceptance. This dissertation comes in two parts: The first part is a study of the author, his era and the book, in which I did a deep research on his personal biography and then also his academic biography. In my research on the era of the author I touched on the state of legal sciences in that era, and expanded further in clarifying the state of the science of exegesis and their authors plus which books that have been produced in this field. I followed that by talking about the book that is in the process of being edited. I examined its attribution to the author and the ferocity of the text that we have. I then examined the author’s methodology, his sources and the academic observations regarding it. As for the second section Which is the editing of the text . I worked on producing the text in a modern and clear manner for the readers, and according to the intention of its author, Allah willing. I referenced all the hadith with their rank from the relevant books as I also attributed all the narrations and statements to their respective authors and books. I have checked the text according to modern Arabic standards and added vowelation to difficult words appropriately with their explanation. I concluded my work with some conclusions i drew from the work and recommendations to future researchers. I have appended to the thesis indexes and a list of sources and references
