Horvin are processes that require climatic conditions such as temperature, relative humidity, precipitation and radiation. The objective of this research was to study the influence of climatic conditions on growth and quality at harvest and postharvest of plum fruit. And in turn, to formulate some models of pre-harvest and harvest of the fruit, depending on the climatic conditions of the localities where the study was carried out, for which, twenty trees per farm were marked in two localities of the municipality of Nuevo Colon, Boyaca department, Colombia. Measurements were made during three harvests (years 2021- 2022), every 7 days until harvest maturity. For the formulation of the models in the pre-harvest state, the temperature of the selected localities was considered in terms of thermal time (GDC), where a phenological model was proposed, determining the base temperature (Tb), for the four phenological periods of the crop and the quantification of the degree days of growth (GDC). For the development of the fruit, a Tb = 1.78 ºC was determined, for the determination of the models the Excel® solver tool was used. The results showed that, during the growth of the plum fruit, in the physicochemical characteristics, the variables that have the most incidence are altitude, precipitation and altitude. The models of fresh weight, total soluble solids and pulp firmness are the best ones to predict the evolution of the quality of the plum fruit during its development. Growth equations were obtained for length and diameter as a function of fruit weight, as well as for days elapsed since anthesis as a function of growth degree-days and altitude. The models to determine the quality of the plum fruit show that the climatic conditions of the crop and its altitude affect the physicochemical characteristics of the fruit during postharvest. The regression analysis showed that the models predict the properties of the fruit in a good way, the cross validation showed a good fit through equations between the observed values and the estimated values.DoctoradoDoctor en Ciencias AgrariasFisiología vegeta

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

Climate factors affect the phenological behavior of Japanese plum (Prunus salicina Lindl.) cultivation in tropical elevation. Thermal time is more precise than chronological time for the cultivation labor program and for the estimation of crop phenological events. The objective of this study was to determine the base temperature (Tb) and thermal time for the development of the \u27Horvin\u27 plum fruit, estimating the Tb for the reproductive phenological phase of the plum. Twenty trees, consisting of ten trees per rowat two different elevations of 2,195 and 2,567 m a.s.l. (meters above sea level), in the municipality of Nuevo Colon (Colombia), were marked by locality. The appearance of each phenological stage was recorded from floral bud to harvest, estimating Tb with the minimum coefficient method of variation in function of growing degree day (GDD). The results show Tb for the phenological stages floral-anthesis with 2.84°C; anthesis-fruits set, 3.05 °C, and fruit set-harvest, 1.76°C. Therefore, this variety should be grown where there is a minimum temperature of 3.05°C during the reproductive phase. In addition, the results show that an average of 1,243.17 and 1,172.12 GDD is required to go from fruit set to fruit harvest at elevations 2,195 and 2,567 m a.s.l., respectively. Variations on the Author

“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis

We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Finally, we show by means of an example that our findings have a high practical relevance.information science;Pearson correlation;cosine;similarity measure;author cocitation analysis

The plum (Prunus salicina Lindl.) is affected by the amount of water provided by its environment, as conditioned by climatic factors, especially temperature. Fruit development, in terms of physiological time or growing degree-days (GDD), is more accurate than quantification in terms of crop scheduling dates. The objective of this research was to determine the base temperature (Tb) of the phenological period between fruit set and harvest in Horvin plums and to express this duration in terms of GDD to determine the harvest date. Twenty trees were marked per locality at four different altitudes (2,449; 2,285; 2,215 and 2,195 m) in the municipality of Nuevo Colon, Boyaca. During 2015 and 2016, the dates of fruit set and harvest were recorded. Tb was estimated using different methods, as well as the GDD required to go from fruit set to harvest. The variance showed the best statistical fit between coefficient of variation and standard deviation for estimating Tb, with a high degree of correlation. The Tb for this phenological period was 2.9ºC. The results showed that a mean of 1,528 GDD and 81 days were required to pass from fruit set to fruit harvest.

Edaphic conditions are determinant factors of fruit quality at harvest. The objective was to establish which edaphic variables influence fruit harvest and to determine the influence of these variables on some physicochemical and physiological characteristics of ‘Horvin’ plum fruits at harvest. In the municipality of Nuevo Colon (Boyaca, Colombia), records of two harvests were made in four locations during 2015 and 2016. Ten trees per row and twenty trees per location were marked, for a total of 80 trees for the four locations. For the chemical soil analyses, four samples were taken per location at a depth between 20 and 30 cm, for a total of 16 soil samples. For the physical analysis, 6 samples were taken per location at a depth between 20 and 30 cm, for a total of 24 soil samples. The results showed that the bulk density in the four locations was high, which is evidence of high levels of compaction in each location, resulting in low fruit development at harvest. A relationship was found with fruits at harvest in characteristics such as weight and diameter for some chemical variables, such as pH, phosphorus, cation exchange capacity, calcium, magnesium, potassium, zinc, copper, boron and sulfur.
