It argues that this production posits itself in a post-pictorial and post-sculptural timeline and applies an interdisciplinary crossover between architecture, anthropology and art theory to build its physical presence and its hermeneutic possibilities

Defesa : Curitiba, 21/08/2019Inclui referências: p. 342-348Resumo: O objetivo geral desta tese é reunir e analisar a obra do poeta paranaense Rodrigo Júnior, pseudônimo de João Baptista Carvalho de Oliveira (1887-1964). Para isso, foi necessário coletar a quantidade máxima das suas publicações literárias e ensaísticas e, num recorte específico, analisá-las e discuti-las sob a perspectiva de quanto seus textos se apresentam como provincianos, e, quanto ao mesmo tempo não os são. Rodrigo Júnior é um autor que buscou intensamente seu próprio estilo no meio do confuso pré-modernismo, entre o parnasianismo, simbolismo e o neorromantismo, utilizando-se de várias estéticas e escolas unicamente com objetivo encontrar sua liberdade na arte. Nessa busca, encontrou a sua voz quando escreveu principalmente seus poemas com temas bucólicos, amorosos, satíricos, quase sempre atravessados por uma constante melancolia, por um tédio e pessimismo, uma tristeza de quem deseja paz e felicidade. Consagrou-se como poeta de rara qualidade, compondo ora em formas clássicas, ora em verso livre sempre com uma linguagem simples, mas também foi um eficiente prosador, como escritor de contos, crônicas, novelas e ensaios. Sua carreira começa no início do século XX e dura até os anos 60, atuando diariamente na imprensa curitibana, estabelecendo-se como um agitador cultural durante esse tempo. A produção gigantesca contrasta com seus poucos livros publicados, pois acabou abandonando muitos projetos de livros e deixando a maior parte dos seus escritos esparsos em jornais e revistas. Incentivou e influenciou pelo menos duas gerações de artistas do Paraná, como os jovens interessados no futurismo e no modernismo e os literatos da década de 30 e 40 que queriam modernizar as letras paranaenses. Por fim, dedicou boa parte da sua vida à literatura e à criação um sistema literário no Paraná autossuficiente que fosse independente dos grandes centros urbanos da época como o Rio de Janeiro. Provincianismo.Abstract: The general objective of this thesis is to gather and analyze the work of the poet Rodrigo Júnior, pseudonym of João Baptista Carvalho de Oliveira (1887-1964). For this, it was necessary to collect the maximum amount of their literary and essayistic publications and, in a specific cut, to analyze and discuss them from the perspective of how much their texts are provincial, and at the same time not. Rodrigo Júnior is an author who intensely sought his own style in the midst of confusing pre-modernism, between parnasianism, symbolism and neorromantism, using various aesthetics and schools solely to find their freedom in art. In this search, he found his voice when he wrote mainly his poems with bucolic, loving, satirical themes, almost always crossed by a constant melancholy, boredom and pessimism, a sadness of those who want peace and happiness. He established himself as a poet of rare quality, composing sometimes in classical forms, sometimes in free verse always with simple language, but was also an efficient prospector, as a writer of short stories, chronicles, novels and essays. His career begins in the early twentieth century and lasts until the 1960s, working daily in the Curitiba press, establishing himself as a cultural agitator during that time. The mammoth production contrasts with its few published books, as it has abandoned many book projects and left most of its sparse writings in newspapers and magazines. It encouraged and influenced at least two generations of artists from Paraná, such as the young people interested in futurism and modernism and the literati of the 30's and 40's who wanted to modernize Paraná's lyrics. Finally, he devoted much of his life to literature and the creation of a self-sufficient literary system in Paraná that was independent of the great urban centers of the time such as Rio de Janeiro. The populations found are small and disjunct in an area of about 14 km 2. Santo Ângelo: a firma - ação da modernidade na arquitetura da cidade, 1930-1945

Programa de Pós-graduação em Urbanismo, História e Arquitetura da CidadeEm um país de proporções continentais, o processo de desenvolvimento urbano é percebido mais facilmente nos grandes centros localizados especialmente na parte litorânea brasileira. Essa dinâmica pode ser também evidenciada na cidade de Santo Ângelo, localizada no interior, ao noroeste do Estado do Rio Grande do Sul e fundada enquanto redução Jesuítica em 1707. Nesta dissertação o fenômeno urbano observado em Santo Ângelo, entre 1930 e 1945, revela especificidades locais como o resgate de uma memória missioneira, e condicionantes regionais como a interligação à malha ferroviária Estadual no inicio da década de vinte. Este desenvolvimento é notado pela atuação de uma sociedade étnica e culturalmente diversificada, formada e influenciada por um intenso trânsito e permanência de um contingente imigrantista, por um poder político centralizado em um contexto nacionalista e pela ação de uma empresa construtora, a Santo Angelense Ltda, que viabiliza através da sua produção a instauração da Capital das Missões. É quando se distingue um setor de Santo Ângelo mais ligado ao passado e outro mais ligado ao futuro, reflexo de um sítio físico ocupado em diferentes períodos, por uma sociedade urbana em estruturação, direcionada por um novo planejamento e perceptível no seu tecido urbano. É neste período de uma década e meia que ocorre a instituição de novos paradigmas arquitetônicos e a consolidação hierárquica deste tecido urbano determinantes de uma nova forma urbana composta pela formação de um bairro residencial e de um centro de atividades diversas. A modernidade e a tradição são aspectos presentes neste processo de desenvolvimento urbano de Santo Ângelo, na construção do ser cidade durante a Era Vargas, quando repercutem nas paisagens construídas obras inovadoras, capazes de representar o significado e o estabelecimento de uma nova configuração urbana. Podem ser destacadas obras de maior magnitude como a construção do Cine-Teatro Municipal e da nova Igreja da Matriz, as quais refletem diretamente na arquitetura da cidade e na consolidação de suas partes distintas. In a continental sized country, the process of urbanization is more easily detected in big centers. These dynamics can also be seen in Santo Ângelo, a city in the north-west of the State of Rio Grande do Sul that was founded by the Jesuits in 1707. In this dissertation, the urban phenomenon observed in Santo Ângelo, between 1930 and 1945, shows local specificity as the rescue of a missionary memory, and regional factors as the connection to the State railway line. This development is perceived by the action of a culturally and ethnically diverse society, formed and influenced by an intense traffic and permanence of an immigrant contingent, conducted by a public power centralized in a nationalist context and by the action of a construction company, the Santo Angelense Ltda, that makes possible, through its production, the establishment of the Capital of the Missions. This is when an area from Santo Ângelo more connected to the past and another more connected to the future can be distinguished. This is the reflex of a physical space settled in different periods, by a growing urban society, directed by a new planning and perceived in its urban area. It is in this period of a decade and a half that occur the institution of new architectonic paradigms and the hierarchical consolidation of this urban area determining a new urban focus, composed by the formation of a residential area and an area of various interests. Modernity and tradition are present aspects in the process of urban development of Santo Ângelo, in the construction of the city being during the Vargas Era, when innovative buildings appear on the constructed landscapes, able to the meaning and the establishment of a new urban configuration. Buildings of great magnitude can be perceived as the construction of the Cine-teatro Municipal and of the new Igreja Matriz, which reflect directly in the architecture of the city and in the consolidation of its distinct parts
