The current case analysis seeks to analyze the accessibility of guests with reduced mobility of the Camino Real hotel in the Montalvo canton, for which an observation sheet was made, considering the Guide for Lifting the Accessibility File belonging to Ecuador and the manual of Accessibility Guidelines in Tourist Accommodation. En el presente estudio de caso se analiza la accesibilidad de huéspedes con movilidad reducida del hotel Camino Real del cantón Montalvo, para ello se realizó una ficha de observación, considerando la Guía para Levantamiento de la Ficha de Accesibilidad del Ecuador y el Manual de Directrices de Accesibilidad en Alojamientos Turísticos. No full textThe purpose of this case study is to answer the question: What is the culture of quality in the services offered by the hotel sector in the city of Babahoyo? with the main objective of determining the existence of quality culture in the hotel sector of the city of Babahoyo through descriptive research, with a mixed approach, by applying interviews to owners and employees with 17 open questions related to the 3 dimensions of the HOTELQUAL model (staff, facilities and organization), in the same way the survey was applied to clients in the hotel sector, selecting 20 guests according to a type of convenience sampling, using the Likert scale of 1-5 in order to evaluate their perception, to finally compare satisfaction levels with the perspectives of employees and owners. It was obtained as a result of the customer's perception that 70% of the guests surveyed agree with the size of the staff, in terms of the dimensions of facilities and organization, around 60% disagree on aspects such as equipment, cleanliness. of common areas, room comfort, problem resolution and compliance with the conditions agreed in advance. Del mismo modo se aplicó la encuesta a clientes del sector hotelero, seleccionando 20 huéspedes con un tipo de muestreo por conveniencia, utilizando la escala de Likert del 1-5 a fin de evaluar su percepción, para comparar los niveles de satisfacción con las perspectivas de los empleados y propietarios. Se obtuvo como resultado de la percepción del cliente que el 70% de los huéspedes se encuentran de acuerdo con la dimensión del personal, en cuanto a las dimensiones de instalaciones y organización el 60% están en desacuerdo en aspectos como el equipamiento, limpieza de áreas comunes, comodidad de habitaciones, resolución de problemas y cumplimiento de las condiciones acordadas. Según la percepción de los propietarios y empleados de hoteles, mencionan que están muy de acuerdo con la cultura de calidad existente, por lo que, al realizar la comparación con la opinión de los huéspedes se pudo encontrar notorias diferencias. En síntesis, se evidencia una cultura de calidad deficiente en el sector hotelero de la ciudad de Babahoyo, lo cual permitió realizar algunas recomendaciones para la mejorar de los servicios

With the objective of evaluating the quality of the operating services in the academic tours of the Tourism Career through descriptive research, with a qualitative approach, through the application of surveys in line with the SEEVQUAL model to measure the quality of services, it has 5 dimensions corresponding to 4 items each dimension.
The survey will be carried out to the tourism courses since they comply with the activity of field trips and require travel operators. The students of the different courses that are 332 students will evaluate the quality of the services of the travel operators offered. Para llevar a cabo esta evaluación, se optó por una investigación descriptiva con un enfoque cualitativo. Para medir la calidad de los servicios, se utilizó el modelo SERVQUAL, el cual consta de 5 dimensiones, cada una compuesta por 4 ítems. La encuesta se dirigió a los estudiantes de la Carrera de Turismo de Universidad Técnica de Babahoyo matriculados en el período académico mayo – septiembre 2023, quienes participaron en las salidas de campo y tuvieron contacto directo con las operadoras turísticas. En total, 221 estudiantes participaron en la evaluación de la calidad de los servicios ofrecidos por estas operadoras. Los resultados preliminares mostraron que el 85% de los estudiantes se encontraba satisfecho con la atención proporcionada por las operadoras de viajes, mientras que el 15% restante no estaba conforme con el servicio que habían recibido de las mismas

Get PDFPopulation growth in the city of Babahoyo has become a determining factor in the contamination of the San Pablo River, the continuous introduction of foreign materials that are foreign to its nature, has caused an ecological deficit and a mismatch in the food chain producing an alteration in the visual aesthetics of the tributary.
The presence of factories such as Piladoras, sawmills, poultry distributors and artisanal brickworks, located around the river, have used the tributary as the main source to deposit their rubbish, biological waste, fuels, wastewater, causing the loss of natural resources fundamental to the Development of activities such as the fishing and gastronomic sector of the city.
In addition, the little environmental knowledge of the nearby inhabitants, added to the wastewater that constantly enters the river allows the increase of nutrients and pathogenic organisms which triggers a reaction called eutrophication that affect the ichthyological resources existing in the waters of the San Pablo River.
It should be noted that in recent years the pollution of the river has not improved and there is no recovery in either natural or anthropogenic areas, the search for a solution has not been considered by local authorities, which do not Give priority to this problem, however the introduction of harmful discharges continues to increase.
With this background the present research has as main objective, the study of the pollution in the San Pablo River and how it affects to its natural resources that are fundamental to develop the tourist activity, for that reason arises the necessity to implement a proposal that allows diminishing Pollution and achieving conservation of resources.
In conclusion, it is important to note that the intervention and contamination of water resources such as rivers can modify the normal flow of the water cycle, causing various disruptions in the planet's climate and directly affecting the conservation of ecosystems, causing various national and international social conflicts.El crecimiento poblacional en la ciudad de Babahoyo se ha convertido en un factor determinante de la contaminación del Río San Pablo, la continua introducción de materiales extraños ajenos a su naturaleza, ha ocasionado un déficit ecológico y un desajuste en la cadena alimenticia produciendo una alteración en la estética visual del afluente.
La presencia de fábricas como Piladoras, aserraderos, distribuidoras de aves y ladrilleras artesanales, ubicadas alrededor del río, han utilizado al afluente como principal fuente para depositar sus basuras, desechos biológicos, combustibles, aguas residuales, provocando la pérdida de recursos naturales fundamentales para el desarrollo de actividades como el sector pesquero y gastronómico de la ciudad.
Además el poco conocimiento ambiental de los habitantes cercanos, sumado a las aguas residuales que ingresan constantemente al río permiten el aumento de nutrientes y organismos patógenos lo cual desencadena una reacción llamada eutrofización que afectan a los recursos ictiológicos existente en las aguas del Río San Pablo.
Vale remarcar que en los últimos años la contaminación del río no ha tenido una mejoría y no se aprecia una recuperación ni en las áreas naturales ni en las antrópicas, la búsqueda a una solución no ha sido considerada por las autoridades locales, las cuales no le dan prioridad a este problema, sin embargo la introducción de descargas dañinas sigue aumentando.
Con estos antecedentes la presente investigación tiene como objetivo principal, el estudio de la contaminación en el Río San Pablo y como este afecta a sus recursos naturales que son fundamentales para desarrollar la actividad turística, por ello surge la necesidad de implementar una propuesta que permita disminuir la contaminación y lograr la conservación de los recursos
