APLIKASI STRATEGI KOMUNIKASI PEMASARAN SURAT KABAR HARIAN RAKYAT BENGKULU DALAM MENJARING PENGIKLAN
The picture of reality formed by the mass media was expected to underlie the response and attitude of the public towards various social conditions. It will indirectly affect the domestic firms, because in any case, they must be prepared to compete with other similar companies as well as the need to have courage in the face of competition from multinational companies that operate and are located in various areas. In this study the researcher used theories derived from sources that can be used as a reference. Data were collected by using interview techniques and data analysis. From the research, it’s known that the application of marketing communications strategy in Harian Rakyat Bengkulu was to attract advertising. The applied strategies was chosen by the needs, it means that the application of the strategy used is not too theoretical cultivated and made as simple as possible and inspired by the vision of the company. Basically every company (in this case Harian Rakyat Bengkulu) needed to apply marketing communication strategy in the company's vision and mission more effectively. Pendampingan Pembuatan Video Promosi Wisata Alam Curug Terambon Kepahiang Provinsi Bengkulu Berbasis Digital
Kepahiang Regency, Bengkulu Province has many beautiful and easily accessible tourist destinations, one of which is in Pagar Gunung Village, Kepahiang District. This village has a stunning natural tourist attraction, namely Curug Terambon with the charm of a waterfall that flows freely between piles of beautiful rocks. Developing tourism potential and increasing tourism promotion is an important priority program to be carried out in order to improve the economy of village communities. And to make all this happen, it is necessary to get support from all village communities, especially youth, by utilizing various digital platforms, namely increasing tourism promotion on social media. Therefore, Lecturers and Students of the Communication Science Study Program, Faculty of Social Sciences, Dehasen Bengkulu University carried out community service activities to help the youth of Pagar Gunung Village in their efforts to introduce the village's potential to the wider community through assistance in making digital-based tourism promotional videos. Through making this video, the charm of Curug Tarambon as a potential tourist attraction for Pagar Gunung Village can be explored. This activity went well and is expected to provide benefits, namely increasing the capacity of the youth of Pagar Gunung Village, especially the skills of making videos by utilizing the cellphone media they have, where the results of video production can be used as promotional media so that they can help introduce the village's potential to the wider community
ANALYSIS OF THE LEVEL OF SATISFACTION OF LISTENERS OF RADIO DEHASEN 88.5 FM (Descriptive Study of Dehasen University Students Bengkulu)
Radio listeners are increasingly selective in choosing radio broadcast programs, so that the number of radio listeners is decreasing, plus the presence of other media causes a lack of listener interest in listening to radio. This is a problem for radio station managers such as Radio Dehasen 88.5 FM which is under the auspices of Dehasen University Bengkulu. The purpose of this study was to find out how much the level of listener satisfaction on Radio Dehasen 88.5 FM, especially among students at Dehasen University Bengkulu. This study uses the Uses and Gratification Theory which focuses on the use of media (uses) to get satisfaction (gratification). This research is a quantitative research with the method used is survey. The sample in this study amounted to 98 people. From the results of this study it can be seen that the intensity of listening to the radio by listeners of Dehasen 88.5 FM Radio is as much as 30.4% listening to the radio for 10-45 minutes, 53.6% listening for 46-90 minutes, 8.9% listening for 91-135 minutes, and 7.1% listened for 135-180. The Uses and Gratification theory shows that the main problem is not how the media changes audience attitudes and behavior, but how the media fulfills the personal and social needs of audiences. This study wants to know whether listening to the radio can fulfill listener satisfaction, namely information satisfaction, personal identity satisfaction, social interaction satisfaction, and entertainment satisfaction. These indicators are used to measure listener satisfaction in listening to the radio. Based on the average results of the research, the listener satisfaction level of Dehasen 88.5 FM Radio is in the Fairly Satisfied category with a percentage score of 49.324%. With these findings, it is hoped that it can provide input for the managers of Dehasen 88.5 FM Radio to further improve the quality of radio delivery that is tailored to listeners' interests and what things can satisfy these listeners so that Dehasen 88.5 FM Radio can continue to exist in the future and be able to compete with other radio stations
Pola Komunikasi Adat Berasan Suku Serawai di Era Modern
This study aims to get a comprehensive picture of the pattern of communication on Berasan local customary in Bengkulu City in experiencing a cultural shift. This study uses phenomenological method by describing the phenomenon of Berasan traditions in modern era. Cultural communication pattern is social perception caused by cultural differences that affects the process of perception and including component of communication process. The result shows communication pattern of Berasan local customary of Serawai tribe with communities in Bengkulu city and the migrants has been seen form who will deal first with her parents. Communication pattern of Berasan local customary with urban community of Bengkulu, a man who came first to her house to meet directly with their parents, while communication pattern of Berasan local customary with migrants: his deputy has to come first to the house of the women. This paper concludes that communication patterns of Berasan local customary between Serawai tribe with Bengkulu community and migrants has changed
EFEKTIVITAS PENGGUNAAN MEDIA PERIKLANAN PADA UNIVERSITAS DEHASEN BENGKULU (Studi Komparatif Iklan Pada Media Lini Atas dan Media Lini Bawah)
Penyusunan tesis ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bentuk perbedaan efektivitas iklan pada media lini atas dan media lini bawah yang digunakan Universitas Dehasen Bengkulu sebagai masukan untuk strategi promosi selanjutnya. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian survey kuantitatif dengan teknik analisa data menggunakan uji beda Paired Samples T-Test. Efektifitas iklan di analisa menggunakan analisis deskriptif dimensi EPIC (Emphaty, Persuasion, Impact, dan Communication) Model. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan bentuk efektivitas Iklan UNIVED Bengkulu yang disajikan pada media lini atas dan media lini bawah dalam mempengaruhi khalayak sasaran yaitu pada kekuatan yang dimiliki masing-masing media. Iklan pada media lini atas, secara emphaty mampu memanfaatkan kelebihan yang dimiliki seperti kelebihan visual pada media surat kabar, audio visual pada media televisi, dan nilai strategis yang dimiliki media spanduk/baliho. Sehingga secara persuasion mampu menguatkan karakter merk yaitu berdampak pada tumbuhnya persepsi bahwa UNIVED identik dengan kebutuhan pribadi karena mampu membangun kesadaran, pemahaman, dan tindakan khalayak dengan baik. Sedangkan Iklan pada media lini bawah juga terbukti efektif mempengaruhi khalayak sasaran terutama pada media brosur/leaflet yang memiliki kelebihan visual dan ruang yang luas untuk menyampaikan pesan iklan. Media poster juga memiliki kekuatan visual yang sama namun belum dapat membantu secara maksimal dalam mengasosiasikan iklan karena peletakan gambar-gambar yang tidak mendukung dapat mempengaruhi pemahaman khalayak. Media reklame berjalan juga memiliki nilai efektifitas yang baik dikarenakan sifatnya yang mobile mampu mengingatkan khalayak akan merk. Namun ruang iklan yang sempit kurang menyampaikan pesan iklan. Efektifitas yang menonjol dari kedua media periklanan tidak terlepas dari faktor lain yang dapat memberikan kontribusi yaitu penggunaan media yang bersifat luas dan dapat digunakan secara bersamaan dengan kegiatan-kegiatan promosi lainnya. Komunikasi Persuasif Melalui Video Bahaya Narkoba dan Rokok di SMK Negeri 5 Kecamatan Padang Ulak Tanding Kabupaten Rejang Lebong Provinsi Bengkulu
Tanjung Sanai Village, Padang Ulak Tanding District, Rejang Lebong Regency, Bengkulu Province. included in drug-prone areas based on research data from the Bengkulu Province National Narcotics Agency in the framework of the 2020 P4GN which mapped this drug-prone area with danger and alert categories and there are several cases where teenagers are trapped in the problem of smoking and use of illegal drugs. This is of course very concerning, so the team of lecturers and students from the Communication Studies Program, Faculty of Social Sciences, Dehasen Bengkulu University carried out Community Service (PKM) activities as a prevention effort, especially in drug and cigarette abuse among teenagers. The location chosen for this PKM activity was SMKN 5 Rejang Lebong which is located in Tanjung Sanai Village. The stages of this community service activity consist of the preparation stage, the activity implementation stage by providing materials, video screening, and the discussion stage. This is done by adopting a persuasive communication model by being equal, increasing discussions, directing gently, accompanying and listening to the complaints of activity participants so that the material can be well received. This activity went well, based on the results of the PKM team's observations, the persuasive communication approach used during the activity was able to provide good understanding to students in general, as seen from the students' enthusiasm during the discussion. It is hoped that this activity can be an anticipatory step in preventing the bad effects of drugs and cigarettes as well as a form of active concern for lecturers and students of the Communication Science Study Program, Faculty of Social Sciences, Dehasen Bengkulu University in transferring knowledge, skills and technology to the community, especially village youth
FAKTOR KENYAMANAN KERJA PEKERJA RUMAH TANGGA DI PERUMNAS BETUNGAN KOTA BENGKULU
This study discusses the factors that determine the comfort of domestic workers in Bengkulu City's Betungan Housing. The aim to describe the behavior of the employer's family, wages, work activities and overview of social security to domestic workers working comfort. The research method used was a qualitative approach survey with data collection techniques of observation and interviews with informants of domestic workers residing in the RT. 12 PerumnasBetungan. The results obtained in the form of: (1) Employers in PerumnasBetungan have good behavior towards domestic workers, (2) The level of wages received by domestic workers in PerumnasBetungan is low between Rp. 500,000. up to Rp. 1,000,000, (3) Household activities carried out by domestic workers in PerumnasBetungan caring for children, cooking, washing, ironing and sweeping the house, (4) Social security received in the form of holiday bonuses, clothes and food.

Stereotipe Masyarakat Tentang Islamophobia Melalui Atribut Islam (Studi pada Masyarakat Napal Melintang Kecamatan Pino Raya Kabupaten Bengkulu Selatan)
The emergence of stereotypes about Islamophobia had influenced by the development of the mass media, which can convey the message that Islam is a strict religion and is synonymous with terrorism simultaneously throughout the world. The existence of news with the labeling of symbols embedded in Muslims had attached as an image of terrorists. This study aims to investigate how Islamic signs in society construct Islamophobia. This study uses a qualitative research method with a phenomenological approach. Data collection techniques used were observation and in-depth interviews. The topics in this study were each three people from an urban and rural region in Bengkulu. The results show that the societal importance of Islamophobia had influenced by negative stereotypes regarding Islamic symbols. The forming process meaning develops in society itself based on direct experience, adaptation, and go by mass media. The created stereotypes lead to negative stigma, where both urban and rural communities experience Islamophobia and have negative perceptions when they see a community using Islamic symbols or attributes. However, some people have the opposite view that not all people or communities with Islamic signs are called terrorists or carriers of heretical teachings and are identical with violence because of the belief that Islam does not teach its people to commit violence against humans. So, it had concluded that Islamic symbols used by a community in certain activities could build a negative stereotype in most people about the Islamic religion that eventually creates Islamophobia in the community
Penguatan kapasitas teknik komunikasi persuasif konten kreatif bagi UMKM di Bengkulu Tengah Provinsi Bengkulu (Strengthening the capacity of creative content persuasive communication techniques for UMKM in Central Bengkulu Bengkulu Province)
Abstrak. UMKM di Bengkulu Tengah Provinsi Bengkulu belum memanfaatkan media sosial dengan baik, dimana mereka memasarkan produk secara online namun kurang dilirik atau mendapat respon dari khalayak dikarenakan promosi yang disampaikan kurang kreatif dan persuasif. Hal ini tentu saja berdampak pada omset penjualan mereka. Oleh sebab itu, pemberdayaan dan dukungan terhadap UMKM tersebut sangat diperlukan. Sektor UMKM memiliki peran penting dalam mendukung pembangunan ekonomi di Indonesia, dimana secara langsung berkontribusi dalam mengangkat perekonomian rakyat (Yudilestari, 2024). Metode yang dilakukan dalam kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini menggunakan metode ceramah dan diskusi. Pelaksanaan kegiatan diawali dengan pemberian materi tentang teknik komunikasi persuasif dan konten kreatif, selanjutnya dilakukan pendampingan langsung pembuatan konten melalui media sosial masing-masing peserta. Selama kegiatan berlangsung dari sesi penyampaian materi hingga kegiatan diskusi dan praktek langsung, terlihat antusiasme para peserta mengikuti kegiatan ini sangat tinggi, dapat dilihat dari banyaknya pertanyaan dari peserta diakhir pemaparan tiap narasumber serta peserta dapat memahami dan mengaplikasikan ilmu yang diberikan dengan baik. Beberapa peserta telah mampu menghasilkan karya yang langsung mereka posting. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini diharapkan dapat menjadi langkah antisipatif dalam membantu UMKM di Kabupaten Bengkulu Tengah mengembangkan usahanya.Abstract. UMKM in Central Bengkulu, Bengkulu Province, have not utilized social media well, where they market their products online but do not get enough attention or get a response from the public because the promotions delivered are less creative and persuasive. This of course has an impact on their sales turnover. Therefore, empowerment and support for UMKM is very necessary. The UMKM sector has an important role in supporting economic development in Indonesia, which directly contributes to uplifting the people's economy (Yudilestari, 2024). The method used in this community service activity uses lecture and discussion methods. The implementation of the activity began with providing material on persuasive communication techniques and creative content, followed by direct assistance in creating content via social media for each participant. During the activity, from the material delivery session to discussion and direct practice activities, it was seen that the enthusiasm of the participants in participating in this activity was very high, it could be seen from the many questions from participants at the end of each resource's presentation and the participants were able to understand and apply the knowledge provided well. Some participants have been able to produce work that they immediately posted. It is hoped that this community service activity can be an anticipatory step in helping UMKM in Central Bengkulu Regency develop their businesses
Pengalaman Pengguna Ome Tv Di Kalangan Remaja (Studi Fenomenologi Di SMPN 20 Kota Bengkulu)
This research was conducted to find out what the experience of Ome TV users is among teenagers, especially students at SMPN 20 Bengkulu City. This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods. Data collection was carried out through interviews, observation and documentation. The technique for taking research informants uses Purposive Sampling. The results of the research show that the experience of Ome TV users among teenagers, especially students at SMPN 20 Bengkulu City, occurs in two phases, namely: Because of Motives or past motives, namely at this stage the students use the Ome TV Application because they have a high sense of fun and curiosity. try several interesting features such as random videos to chats and In Order Motive or future motifs, namely at this stage the student uses the Ome TV application as a place to express themselves, develop English language skills and increase relations or acquaintances to invite them to play online games. . In this research, it turns out that there are many things that can improve their abilities, including developing English language skills, they are more creative and they also find friends who share their hobby in playing online games. Behind this, the author also found negative things from the impact of using the Ome TV application on students at SMPN 20 Bengkulu City, such as a lack of socializing with their classmates and finding random vulgar videos through the Ome TV application media
