The Review for the Variation of the Concept and the Methods of "Collaborative Learning"
Collaborative learning is an interdisciplinary damain which works to further scientific understanding of learning and teaching as well as engage in the design and implementation of learning innovations. Previovs researches which concerns collaborative learning traditionally focused on cognitive-psychological and social-psychogical foundations basis on learning, and which were on designing learning environments (e.g., educational software such as intelligent tutors, programming languages, learning management systems). Over the past decade, researchers have also expanded their focus to the design of curricula, informal learning environments, and policy innovations. Major contributing fields include cognitive science, psychology, computer science, education, neuroscience, and social science
The role of critical thinking in reading on articles : Detection for the method on teaching theory
The purpose of this paper is to overview the studies on critical thinking in cognitive psychology and proposes some suggestions for further research. In recent studies, the definition of critical thinking has not been standardized, and there are few studies which examined domain specific abilities and attitude toward tasks in critical thinking although they are important for critical thinking. A few studies discussing domain specific abilities examined the novices in cognitive psychology and found that their critical thinking abilities were improved when a guidance was given. In the further studies, it will be necessary to discuss the following three points; (1) to clarify the definition of critical thinking, (2) to elaborate the procedures of experiment by examining the process of rectifying misconception and the process of activating meta cognition, (3) to analyze not only quantitative data but also qualitative data when linguistic materials are used in the experiments
日常的会話場面における発話者に対する共感度と批判的思考の関係 : 会話文を用いての検討
The relationship subjects' sympathy for the speakers and the behaviors based on critical thinking processes in the daily conversational utterances was investigated in this study. This study is consisted of two experiments, and inspected the hypothesis that explains the occurrence process of the statements as critique in the daily conversations. The process is consisted the cognitive events that are critical thinking attitudes, monitoring, avoidance from risk, and fluctuation of risk. The first experiment was aimed to make the material text for second experiment. The material used in this study is the text of conversation that simulated the daily conversations. The topic was selected from five to two in the first experiment. The topics were differentiated in terms of the interpersonal communication and the socioeconomics. The second experiment was aimed to investigate the relationship between the sympathy for speaker and the behavior as the results that subjects have read the text. Three versions of texts were made for second experiment: sympatric story, rational story, assertive story. As the result of the second experiment, those instances became clear. In the condition of sympatric text, most participants selected not critical statements. In rational text, most participants also selected not critical statements. In assertive text, the percentage of participants who selected critical statements and not critical statements was almost the same
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
モジュール型教職研修と研修満足度と成長的知性の関係 : 山口大学教育学部ちゃぶ台型研修の事例
In this research, we investigated the effect of the teaching training programs of “Chabu-dai System” produced by Faculty of Education, Yamaguchi University. The study participates 166 students and teachers . In this research, we asked about the satisfaction and the awareness of successful intelligence after they attended the programs. As a result of the research, the following findings were obtained. First, the successful intelligence was composed of three subordinate factors: humanity orientation, educational material development orientation, organization orientation. Second, high rated satisfactions were gained for all items. In addition, as a result of the cluster analysis, it was shown that awareness of students’ successful intelligence was constructed of five clusters and teachers’ was constructed of three clusters
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Finally, we show by means of an example that our findings have a high practical relevance.information science;Pearson correlation;cosine;similarity measure;author cocitation analysis
Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more
sophisticated methods
