Towards Sub-regional cooperation: India’s Northeast and Bangladesh
The South Asian countries have a shared past based on deep-rooted common cultural heritage and historical legacy. The region has demographic and geographical advantages young labour force and a contiguous border. The spatial dimension of regional integration of Northeast India and Bangladesh can be inferred from the historical fact that economic growth of Northeast during the British rule flourished essentially on the strength of its integrated transport network through East Bengal. Inland-water trade between India and Bangladesh is important in linking not only Assam but the region as a whole to Bangladesh. Cost effective trade routes through water ways is more important than land routes for India’s Northeast through the corridors of Bangladesh. Notwithstanding the importance of waterways, the land routes continue to be the safe transit for informal trade between both the countries.Regional cooperation; Northeast India
CHALLENGING GENDER ROLES: A FEMINIST ANALYSIS OF GHANI KHAN'S THE PATHANS

The present research aims to analyse the representation of gender dynamics in Ghani Khan’s The Pathans who is also known as Lewanai Phalsafi (The Lunatic Philosopher), is a towering literary figure in Pashto literature. He is commonly known for his poetry and art. Ghani Khan strived to unveil the atrocities of the tribal system and the usurpation of women's rights at the hands of the Pashtoon male-dominant society. Using a feminist theoretical framework and conducting textual analysis, this study endeavours to examine the ways prominent Pashto poet Khan challenges the traditional gender roles of Pashtuns. Specifically, this analysis will focus on the respective representation of masculinity and femininity and the power dynamics, and social norms that define both Pashtun women and Kaftar. The author has used strong female characters, increased the question of masculinity, and created a broader discussion on gender views. Therefore, all aspects of writing are from a feminist perspective. Hence, The Pathans emerges as a dominant text in creating and changing gender roles. The study reveals the ambiguous view of the author on the question of gender roles and shows how these views are expressed through the characters of women and men of Kurdish nationality. The study has shown that Khan’s place of birth strongly influences his views on the distribution of rights and obligations between people of different genders. Khan’s novel focuses on how power relations are pivotal in a particular society.

Introducing Muhammad Abdul Ghani Moura Farrokhabadi
The tazkira al-Shaarai of Maulana Mohammad Abdul Ghani Farrukhabadi (1916 AD) is considered to be one of the latest public research tazkira in the subcontinent, which has not been known and studied until now. This book can be considered under Armaghan Asefi, which mentions poets whose poems are included in that book. This tazkira is the biography of 1027 poets, which is arranged in alphabetical order based on their purity. Our goal in this article is to take a brief look at the author's life and examine the content of his poets' biography. The importance of this biography is that the author, while being brief, describes the biography of the poets in one sentence to one paragraph, based on purity, name, year of death, country, Malik and Ahed have been classified; on this basis, giving useful information such as: poets' names and lineage, mention of the date of death of most of them, and mention of travels are other features of this tazkira, which have received less attention in other tazkira. Despite the abundance of poets' names, this tazkira can be considered as the most concise book of Persian tazkira in the form of a table, which is based solely on historical and documented information
Rhetorical Criticism Features at Abd al-Ghani al-Nabulsi
The present study sheds light on the rhetorical criticism of Abdul Ghani al - Nabulsi in his book "Nafahat al Azhar" Where he interprets al-Muzaryah poem. The researcher found a rich critical material in which he presented previous approaches to rhetoric. these include Safyeddeen al-Helli , Ibn Hijjah al-Hamwi and Aishah al-Baoneah.The approach al-Nabulsi employs in a critical one whose value parallelss those of ancient critics, since he implements critical tools that reflect knowledge taste and analytical ability. Moreover, he concentrated on the text rather than the author. Finally, al- Nabulsi shows extensive knowledge of representative lives of poetry starting from pre-Islamic period up to the Ottoman period. It was accused by some scholars and orientalists and influenced by the times of weakness and degeneratio
Peace-Building in Pakistan: Khwaja Sira Activism
The Pakistani khwaja sira community have faced significant oppression and structural violence throughout much of history. Khwaja sira is an umbrella term used for the trans, intersex and gender non-conforming people in South-East Asia; it is being used to replace the word hijra because many people in the community feel as though it has a negative connotation. Historically, they were given honourable and valued social positions, however through colonization they were labelled with a subordinate social class. Until 2009, this community did not have access to civil rights. This essay discusses the activism that resulted in the reversal of the structurally violent policies that oppressed the khwaja sira community.Peer reviewedstudent peer-reviewed journal articlefinal article publishe
Feasibility study for an employee owned company... to deliver health care services to seniors in (north) Hartford, Connecticut
This feasibility study was instituted in April 1997, after the author was in the Community Economic Development - Masters Program, at New Hampshire College for nine months, beginning in September 1996.
This change from the original topic was instituted after prodding from the project advisor Mr. Woullard Lett, coupled with the buildup of class information, which showed that additional work was needed to secure greater community input and a more detailed analysis of 'need and market'.
The goal of this study was to determine whether or not it was feasible to setup such a business in (North) Hartford. The central outcome of the study was, that those involved should go on immediately to the next step, that of putting together a full blown business plan. I have two desires for this paper:
1. That it directs others to work closer and earlier with their respective advisors, in order than valuable time is not lost, in really coming to grips with the task of delivering a product that not only receives an above average grade, but also really contributes something significant to the many needs that exist in our communities.
2. That it kindles a spark in at least one reader in the future, to take this idea to the next level of implementation. This is applicable in most urban areas of the country, where the elderly population is increasing at a rate faster than the country as a whole. (Author abstract)Al-Ghani, D. A. I. (1998). The rise of securities markets : what can government do?
Using U.S. securities markets as a case history, the author explores the role securities markets play in economic development, how they emerge, and how regulation can make them more effective. Why the United States? Two centuries ago, it was a small undeveloped country with serious financial problems. It confronted those problems and, guided by Alexander Hamilton, creatively reformed its financial system, which then became a foundation of the U.S. economic infrastructure and a bulwark for long-term growth. When Hamilton's program established public credit and securitiesmarkets in the 1790s, U.S. citizens were immediately able to borrow from older, richer countries. U.S. wealth then increased until, by the end of the nineteenth century, U.S. residents began to lend and invest more abroad than they borrowed. During the 1820s and 1830s, the United States (usually state governments) borrowed large sums from foreign investors to build roads, canals, and early railroads, to make other transportation improvements, and to capitalize state banks. From the 1830s to the end of the century, still larger sums from overseas went into private U.S. railway companies that provided cheap transcontinental transportation. Most of this borrowing took the form of state and corporate bond sales to overseas investors. The pristine U.S. government credit established by Hamilton thus rubbed off on U.S. state and corporate debt. The British stock market did better than the U.S. market until the United States adopted security-market regulation (including disclosuire rules) under the SEC. Then the U.S. market became a world leader. The U.S. stock market developed more slowly than the bond market, but it both aided and benefited from foreign investment in U.S. bonds. Foreign investors preferred debt securities to equities, yet equities create a safety margin for bondholders who, because of this margin, are more willing to purchase and hold bonds. Foreign investors preferred bonds; U.S. investors, after exporting bonds, held more stocks than bonds at home. Why? Because good stock markets permit the conversion of equity securities into cash.Environmental Economics&Policies,Payment Systems&Infrastructure,Financial Intermediation,International Terrorism&Counterterrorism,Economic Theory&Research,Housing Finance,Insurance&Risk Mitigation,Financial Intermediation,Environmental Economics&Policies,Economic Theory&Research
