Method: A standardized structured expert interview with a decision maker of human resources investments was made. The empirical material from the inter-view is then compared against the main proper-ties of the two models. Conclusions: The traditional decision analysis can describe the process of investments made in human resources where absence of management exists and the in-vestment has limited time duration. No full textProblemformulering: Statskontoret har fått i uppdrag att upphandla ett nytt kommunikationssystem för landets Ambulans, Polis och Räddningstjänsten. Utredningar såsom SOU 1998: 143 har pekat på att TETRA skall väljas. Man kan dock diskutera valet av kommunikationssystem utifrån argumentet att det nya kommunikationssystemet skall skapa mervärde. Detta mervärde kan man tänka endast skapas vid krissituationer. Det är då som fokuset skiftar från kostnader till funktionalitet och de värden man kan spara. Frågan är bara hur ofta kriser och onormala händelser inträffar samt vilka andra påverkbara problem som finns. Sannolikheten att katastrofer inträffar är ofta mycket överdrivna av människan. Även olika typer av trånga sektioner kan begränsa en räddningsinsats. Syfte: Uppsatsens syfte är att undersöka om Ambulans, Polis och Räddningstjänst i Karlskrona/Ronneby kan bedriva sin verksamhet med ett UMTS system för kommunikation, utifrån ett funktionalitets perspektiv, istället för ett TETRA system. Metod: Teknisk jämförelse och en fallstudie hos Ambulans, Polis och Räddningstjänst. Slutsatser: Vi anser att den nyckelskillnad TETRA har, nod till nod, inte har den betydelsen, att UMTS inte skulle kunna ses som ett alternativ till TETRA. No full textThema der vorliegenden Arbeit ist die umfassende Aufarbeitung und Dokumentation der Bauten und Projekte Emil Fahrenkamps (*1885, 1966) in Berlin und Potsdam-Babelsberg sowie die kritische Einordnung seiner Arbeiten in den Kontext der Baugeschichte des 20. Jahrhunderts. Den zentralen Untersuchungsgegenstand bildet, neben der gebaudespezifischen Erfassung der Bau- und Planungsprozesse und der Gebaudebeschreibung Fahrenkamps grosstadtische Arbeiten und Entwurfe in ihrem gesellschaftlichen Kontext zu analysieren. Zeitlich umfasst die Arbeitsphase Fahrenkamps in Berlin die Jahre zwischen 1920 und 1945, in denen er seine bauliche Aktivitaten sowohl fur private Bauherrn als auch fur offentliche Auftraggeber etablieren und ausbauen konnte. Emil Fahrenkamp galt bisher als ein Vertreter der Moderne in Deutschland. Dieses fest gefugte Bild entstand durch die einseitige Gleichsetzung seiner Architektur mit dem Shell-Haus, das in den Jahren 192932 nach seinen Planen in Berlin errichtet wurde und das zur Ikone grosstadtischen Bauens in der baugeschichtlichen Bewertung geworden ist. Die vorliegende Arbeit sucht diese Sicht auf Emil Fahrenkamp kritisch zu hinterfragen und zu differenzieren. Indem sie exemplarisch seine Arbeiten fur Berlin aufarbeitet, gelingt eine neue Sicht seiner architektonischen Intention und damit eine Neubewertung seiner Bedeutung in der deutschen Baugeschichte des 20. The core of the thesis is the part which focuses on Hradecký's choral works. It contains a complete list of his choral works and analysis of several works which il1ustrate his various compositional styles. The significance of this thesis is in its survey of Hradecký's choral works, especially due to the fact that a monograph about this composer has not been published yet. Who are the early adopters of alternative fuel technology? : A study of Swedish road freight companies
No full textThis study investigates the effect of three key firm characteristics (diversification, size, and age) on road freight companies’ early adoption of alternative fuel vehicles (AFVs). While previous studies have identified the determinants of the adoption intention of AFVs, a gap in the literature is research into firm characteristics and the early adopters of AFVs. Because early adopters play an important role in the diffusion of innovation, it is imperative to fill this gap. Based on a survey of 156 Swedish road freight companies and logistic regression analyses, we report that firm size and diversification affect the early adoption of AFVs. In addition, the partial impact of the importance of driver comfort and payload capacity on early adoption of AFVs has been reported. Other factors, including purchase price, fuel cost, and truck refueling efficiency, were not found to discriminate early adopters of AFVs from those who had not yet adopted AFVs. These findings imply to policymakers that the current instruments in use in Sweden, including the greenhouse gas mandate and the relatively high taxation on diesel fuel, have led to the adoption of AFVs by larger road freight companies. For vehicle producers aiming to scale up the production and sales of AFV, the findings suggest the benefit of targeting diversified and larger road freight companies in the first place. © 2024 The Author(s
