    Pelatihan Pembuatan Pupuk Organik Berbahan Kotoran Sapi Bagi Petani di Kecamatan Sambung Makmur Kabupaten Banjar

    Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan serta keterampilan petani di Kecamatan Sambung Makmur Kabupaten Banjar dalam membuat pupuk organik berbahan kotoran sapi. Khalayak sasaran PKM berupa penyuluhan teknik pembuatan pupuk organik berbahan kotoran sapi dalam rangka menambah ilmu pengetahuan dan keterampilan bagi petani di Kecamatan Sambung Makmur Kabupaten Banjar. Kegiatan PKM dilaksanakan pada 14 Juni 2023, bertempat di BPP Sambung Makmur, Kabupaten Banjar dengan jumlah peserta sebanyak 25 orang yang terdiri dari anggota kelompok tani dan karang taruna di wilayah Kecamatan Sambung Makmur Kabupaten Banjar. Hasil PKM menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan petani di Kecamatan Sambung Makmur Kabupaten Banjar mengenai pembuatan pupuk organik berbahan kotoran sapi. Sebanyak 100% peserta mengetahui apa itu pupuk organik, 100% peserta mengetahui jenis-jenis pupuk organik, 100% peserta mengetahui apa itu pupuk organik kotoran sapi, 100% peserta mengetahui manfaat pupuk organik bagi tanah dan tanaman, 96% peserta mengetahui keunggulan pupuk organik dibanding pupuk kimia, 100% peserta mengetahui bahan-bahan yang digunakan dalam pembuatan pupuk organik kotoran sapi, 100% peserta mengetahui kotoran ternak dapat digunakan sebagai bahan baku pembuatan pupuk organik kotoran sapi, 94% peserta mengetahui proses pembuatan pupuk organik kotoran sapi secara baik dan benar, 88% peserta mengetahui ciri-ciri pupuk organik kotoran sapi yang telah selesai di fermentasi, dan 100% peserta mengetahui cara penggunaan pupuk organik kotoran sapi ke tanaman. Training on Making Organic Fertilizer Made from Cow Manure for Farmers in Sambung Makmur District, Banjar Regency This community service aims to increase the knowledge and skills of farmers in Sambung Makmur District, Banjar Regency, in making organic fertilizer from cow manure. Community service's target audience is in the form of providing information on techniques for making organic fertilizer from cow manure in order to increase knowledge and skills for farmers in Sambung Makmur District, Banjar Regency. The community service activity was carried out on June 14, 2023, at the Sambung Makmur Agricultural Extension Center, Banjar Regency, with a total of 25 participants consisting of members of farmer groups and youth organizations in the Sambung Makmur District, Banjar Regency. The community service results show an increase in the knowledge and skills of farmers in Sambung Makmur District, Banjar Regency, regarding making organic fertilizer from cow manure. As many as 100% of participants know what organic fertilizer is; 100% of participants know the types of organic fertilizer; 100% of participants know what organic cow manure fertilizer is; 100% of participants know the benefits of organic fertilizer for soil and plants; 96% of participants know the advantages of organic fertilizer compared to chemical fertilizers; 100% of participants know the ingredients used in making organic cow manure fertilizer; 100% of participants know that livestock manure can be used as raw material for making organic cow manure fertilizer; and 94% of participants know the process of making organic cow manure fertilizer properly. That's right, 88% of participants know the characteristics of organic cow manure fertilizer that has been fermented, and 100% of participants know how to use organic cow manure fertilizer on plants.

    Changes in Soil Ph and Eh Of Rainfed Rice Fields With The Application of NPK Fertilizer and Rice Straw Compost

    In Indonesia, rainfed rice fields (non-irrigated) account for only 26.5% of total rice production. The use of sub-optimal land, such as rainfed rice fields, can be used as an alternative. In general, these rainfed rice fields were infertile, they often experienced drought, and their irrigation systems depended on rain. pH and Eh soil are the main factors affecting the solubility and availability of nutrients and their transformation in the soil. Thusly, the purposes of this research were to determine the interaction effect of NPK fertilizer combined with rice straw compost on changes in soil pH and Eh in rainfed rice fields planted with rice. This research used a two-factor randomized block design (RBD). NPK fertilizer dosage (a) and composted rice straw dosage (k) made up the first and second factors, respectively. There were 3 treatments of NPK fertilizer doses, i.e. 0 (control); 150; and 300 kg ha-1, while there were 6 doses of rice straw compost, 5; 7.5; 10; 12.5; 15; and 20 t ha-1. Each treatment consisted of two experimental blocks, resulting in 36 experimental units. Soil observations were carried out three times, namely when the rice was 2 weeks after planting (WAP), 10 WAP, 17 WAP. Results showed the best treatment combination for lowering Eh soil at 2 WAP was a2k4 (300 kg ha-1 + 12.5 t ha-1 rice straw compost) with a value of Eh -251,2 mV. The effect of single-factor compost was best in increasing the soil pH at 2 WAP, which was 15 t ha-1 (k5) with a pH value of 7.28

    Pemanfaatan Belimbing Wuluh Sebagai Koagulan Lateks Bagi Petani Karet di Desa Bentok Darat Kecamatan Bati-Bati Kabupaten Tanah Laut

    Permasalahan utama yang dihadapi petani di Desa Bentok Darat dalam proses pengentalan lateks yang baik adalah bahan pengental lateks (koagulan). Umumnya petani menggunakan pengumpul lateks yang tidak dianjurkan seperti TSP dan aluminum sulfat (tawas). Pemakaian TSP dan aluminium sulfat (tawas) tidak dapat menggumpalkan lateks dengan sempurna. Untuk menjawab permasalahan tersebut, salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan adalah melalui diseminasi pemanfaatan belimbing wuluh (Averrhoa bilimbi L.) sebagai koagulan lateks yang baik. PkM ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pengetahuan tentang manfaat belimbing wuluh sebagai salah satu bahan pembuatan koagulan lateks, dan memberikan keterampilan dalam pembuatan larutan buah belimbing wuluh sebagai bahan koagulan lateks. Kegiatan PkM ini dilaksanakan dalam bentuk transfer knowledge berupa: (1) penyuluhan, (2) pelatihan pembuatan koagulan lateks dari buah belimbing wuluh, dan (3) teknik pembibitan belimbing wuluh. Kegiatan PkM dilaksanakan di Desa Bentok Darat, Kecamatan Bati-Bati Kabupaten Tanah Laut. Kegiatan dilaksanakan selama 6 (enam) bulan (Maret s.d. September 2023), dimulai dari persiapan (survei lapangan, persiapan bahan dan alat), sampai dengan laporan akhir kegiatan, termasuk publikasi di media massa. Mitra sasaran PkM diseminasi yaitu: ketua dan anggota Kelompok Tani Alam Subur, Desa Bentok Darat Kecamatan Bati-Bati Kabupaten Tanah Laut. Evaluasi kegiatan PkM dilakukan dalam bentuk daftar pertanyaan (kuisioner) untuk melihat peningkatan/penambahan pengetahuan dan keterampilan peserta (mitra) kegiatan, khususnya pengetahuan tentang bahan alternatif koagulan lateks, keuntungan penggunaan bahan koagulan lateks dari buah belimbing wuluh, dan keterampilan membuat larutan koagulan lateks dari buah belimbing wuluh. Hasil PkM menunjukkan terjadinya peningkatan pengetahuan peserta penyuluhan tentang manfaat belimbing wuluh sebesar 40%, dan peningkatan pengetahuan peserta penyuluhan tantang senyawa pada buah belimbing wuluh sebesar 75%. Peningkatan pengetahuan peserta penyuluhan tentang buah belimbing wuluh dapat dijadikan sebagai bahan koagulan lateks meningkat sebesar 89,7%, dan peningkatan ketertarikan menggunakan larutan buah belimbing wuluh sebagai koagulan lateks sebesar 10% dari awalnya 89%. Demi keberlanjutan kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini disarankan sebaiknya peserta kegiatan penyuluhan dapat membagikan pengetahuan yang didapatkan pada penyuluhan ini kepada anggota kelompok yang tidak berkesempatan hadir pada penyuluhan ini, sehingga petani lainnya juga mendapatkan pengetahuan dari pelatihan ini. Usage of Bilimbi a Latex Coagulant for Rubber Farmers in Bentok Darat Village, Bati-Bati District, Tanah Laut Regency Abstract: The main problem farmers in Bentok Darat Village face in the process of good latex thickening is the latex thickening agent (coagulant). Generally, farmers use latex collectors that are not recommended, such as TSP and aluminum sulfate (alum). TSP and aluminum sulfate (alum) cannot coagulate latex completely. To answer this problem, one effort can be made by disseminating the use of Bilimbi (Averrhoa bilimbi L.) as a good latex coagulant. This community service aims to provide knowledge about the benefits of Bilimbi as an ingredient for making latex coagulants and provide skills in making a solution for Bilimbi as a latex coagulant. This community service activity is carried out in the form of knowledge transfer in the form of (1) counseling, (2) training in making latex coagulants from Bilimbi, and (3) Bilimbi seeding techniques. Community service activities were carried out in Bentok Darat Village, Bati-Bati District, Tanah Laut Regency. Activities will be carried out for six months (March to September 2023), starting from preparation (field survey, preparation of materials and tools) to the final activity report, including publication in the mass media. The target partners for community service dissemination are the chairman and members of the Alam Subur Farmers Group, Bentok Darat Village, Bati-Bati District, Tanah Laut Regency. Evaluation of community service activities is carried out in the form of a questionnaire to see the improvement or addition of knowledge and skills of activity participants (partners), especially knowledge about alternative latex coagulant materials, the benefits of using latex coagulant materials from Bilimbi, and skills in making latex coagulant solutions from Bilimbi. The results of the community service showed that there was an increase in knowledge among counseling participants about the benefits of Bilimbi (40%) and an increase in knowledge among counseling participants about the compounds in Bilimbi (75%). The increase in knowledge of counseling participants about how Bilimbi can be used as a latex coagulant increased by 89.7%, and interest in using Bilimbi solution as a latex coagulant increased by 10% from the initial 89%. For the sustainability of this community service activity, it is recommended that participants in extension activities be able to share the knowledge gained from this extension with group members who did not have the opportunity to attend it so that other farmers also gain knowledge from this training
