A Histopathological Study on Viral Encephalitis of European Eel
application/pdfA viral disease occurred among elvers of European eel,Anguilla anguilla transported from France to Mie Prefecture in May of 1977. The diseased fish showed whirling and spiral motion, and white body coloration. On histopathological examinations, some of them showed necrosis in the brain, spinal cord and retina of eyeball. The other fish showed necrosis in the liver, spleen, kidney, heart, digestive tracts and the lateral musculature as well as in the brain.Above all necrotic lesions showed no invasion of bacteria and parasites. A bath with a 0.6% salt solution was effective for the survival of the diseased fish. After the treatment, inflammatory reactions were found to occur in the nectrotic lesions of the brain.A virus was isolated from the diseased fish and showed a cytopathic effect in inoculated RTG-2 cells, similar to that of EVEX(SANO et al.1977).The author proposes to call this disease ‟ Viral Encephalitis of European Eel”.departmental bulletin pape

The research subjects included all visitors and managers of the Mie Kangkung Ny. Phang restaurant, as well as the marketing stages or methods employed by the restaurant. The findings from the research indicate that Mie Kangkung Ny. Phang implements various marketing strategies, but the most dominant strategy observed is Customer Relationship Management (CRM). The potential identified by the author is that the restaurant can attract many visitors through word-of-mouth marketing by previous customers. Another advantage of the restaurant is that it offers a unique Betawi specialty, Mie Kangkung, which is rare in the vicinity of ITC Mangga Dua. The recommendation for the management of Mie Kangkung Ny. Phang is to continue leveraging their strengths and to seize every opportunity to address weaknesses, such as considering relocating the restaurant and being vigilant about potential threats that may arise in the future. Keywords– Marketing Strategy, Culinary Tourism, Restaurants, SWOT Analysis, Marketing Stage
Regulating the Académie
The acclaimed Académie royale de peinture et de sculpture, the second oldest academy in France, was abolished in 1793. Whilst a number of studies have explored the drama of its dissolution, often associated with a speech by former member Jacques-Louis David, this outcome can only be fully understood in the context of the evolving governance of the institution. In this groundbreaking work, Reed Benhamou provides the first comprehensive examination of the codes and practices of the Académie, from its inception in 1648 to its abolition in 1793. As well as exploring why certain rules were adopted, how they facilitated the development of institutional power bases, and the part they played in the Académieâs growing factionalism, the author uncovers changing attitudes to the guild, women, associate academicians and unaffiliated artists. This astute and comprehensive analysis is followed by nine annotated appendices of both registered and proposed statutes and of other related documents, many of which are made readily accessible for the first time. Offering new insights into the tensions between art and state throughout the ancien régime and beyond, Regulating the Académie is an invaluable reference not only for art historians, but also for those working in cultural or legal history. Near-infrared observations of the dust coma of Comet Kohoutek (1973f) with a tilting-filter Fabry-Perot photometer
By means of narrow-band Fabry-Perot filters, which exclude the interference from molecular line fluorescence, the brightness of Comet Kohoutek (1973f) has been measured at 8560 and 8748 Å. Data reduction on the basis of averaged Mie-scattering cross sections indicates that the dust production rate was different before and after perihelion at the same heliocentric distances. This asymmetry suggests that vaporization and dust entrainment were governed by fractionation of a multicomponent mixture of parent molecules in a comparatively porous cometary nucle
