Räpptekstide temaatika 5miinuse, Küberünnaku ja Karmo, Stupid F-i ning Bad Arti näitel
No full textBakalaureusetöö eesmärk on kirjeldada ja analüüsida räpptekstide temaatikat ning tekstides avalduvat mõtte- ja väärtusmaailma nelja erineva eesti räppartisti näitel. Nendeks on räpibänd 5miinust, trio Küberünnak ja Karmo, duo Stupid F ja Hash ning üksikartist Bad Art.
Bakalaureusetöö jaotub kolmeks peatükiks. Esimene peatükk keskendub räpi olemuse lahti mõtestamisele teooria ja selle ajaloo kaudu. Teine peatükk annab ülevaate analüüsiks valitud räppartistidest ning kolmas peatükk hõlmab endas nende räppartistide temaatika analüüsi. Analüüsin valitud räpptekstide temaatikat lähtudes viiest peamisest teemast, mida valitud räpparid on oma loomingus kajastanud. Nendeks on: oma kodukoht, maa versus linn, pidu ja mõnuained, naised ja armastus ning ühiskonnakriitika
Leptin-dependent Phosphorylation of PTEN Mediates Actin Restructuring and Activation of ATP-sensitive K+ Channels
No full textLeptin activates multiple signaling pathways in cells, including the phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase pathway, indicating a degree of cross-talk with insulin signaling. The exact mechanisms by which leptin alters this signaling pathway and how it relates to functional outputs are unclear at present. A previous study has established that leptin inhibits the activity of the phosphatase PTEN (phosphatase and tensin homolog deleted on chromosome 10), an important tumor suppressor and modifier of phosphoinositide signaling. In this study we demonstrate that leptin phosphorylates multiple sites on the C-terminal tail of PTEN in hypothalamic and pancreatic beta-cells, an action not replicated by insulin. Inhibitors of the protein kinases CK2 and glycogen synthase kinase 3 (GSK3) block leptin-mediated PTEN phosphorylation. PTEN phosphorylation mutants reveal the critical role these sites play in transmission of the leptin signal to F-actin depolymerization. CK2 and GSK3 inhibitors also prevent leptin-mediated F-actin depolymerization and consequent ATP-sensitive K+ channel opening. GSK3 kinase activity is inhibited by insulin but not leptin in hypothalamic cells. Both hormones increase N-terminal GSK3 serine phosphorylation, but in hypothalamic cells this action of leptin is transient. Leptin, not insulin, increases GSK3 tyrosine phosphorylation in both cell types. These results demonstrate a significant role for PTEN in leptin signal transmission and identify GSK3 as a potential important signaling node contributing to divergent outputs for these hormones.</p

No full text“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

No full textTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui citraan dana bahasa figuratif yang terdapat dalam buku antologi puisi ?Suluk, Nang, Ning, Nung? karya Handoko F. Zainsam. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode analisis isi berupa analisis deskriptif. Fokus penelitian adalah analisis seluruh jenis citraan dan bahasa figuratif pada antologi puisi ?Suluk Nang, Ning, Nung? karya Handoko F. Zainsam. Objek dalam penelitian adalah 10 puisi yang dianalisis dari 48 puisi. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah dengan menggunakan pengumpulan data atau kartu data. Teknik analisis data adalah dengan membaca puisi tersebut, menganalisis puisi tersebut dan memasukan kedalam tabel rekapitulasi, setelah itu mendeskripsikanya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1). Berdasarkan analisis penggunaan seluruh jenis citraan pada buku kumpulan puisi ?Suluk Nang, Ning, Nung? dapat disimpulkan bahwa citraan yang paling dominan digunakan adalah citraan penglihatan yang, sedangkan citraan yang paling sedikit digunakan adalah citraan pencecapan dan citraan perabaan sejumlah. 2).
