Higher education corruption in Ukraine as reflected in the nation’s media
This paper considers corruption in higher education in Ukraine as reflected in the national media, including such aspects as corruption in admissions to higher education institutions and corruption in administering the newly introduced standardized test. The major focus is on the opinions of the leading figures of the education reform on corruption in education. The national media presents points of view of both supporters of the reform and those in opposition to the reform. Despite disbelief that the standardized test faces among the leading educators and legislators, including politicians and rectors of higher education institutions, the government continues implementation of the reform. Even though the standardized test is not expected to solve the problem of corruption in education, as follows from the media reports and comments, its full scale country-wide implementation at this point appears to be a question of time.bribery, corruption, higher education, mass media, opinions, Ukraine

Theoretical Studies of the Relationship Between the Parameters of the Bridge Tractor and the Engineering Area of the Field
The planning of the field under the bridge system of agriculture should be carried out taking into account the size of both the bridge tractor, which moves on specially created tracks of the permanent technological track, and auxiliary means of mechanization. The purpose of the research is to study the processes of field planning and organization of the movement of bridge tractors, considering the prospects for further automation of all technological processes that they perform, including transport. Theoretical research was carried out by modeling the conditions of the bridge tractor operation on the PC using the provisions of theoretical mechanics and tractor theory. Experimental studies of the bridge tractor were carried out according to both generally accepted and developed methods and involved the use of modern and specially designed equipment. As a result of research, mathematical models and algorithms were developed to allow interdependent choice of construction parameters of bridge tractors, in particular, the width of its track and propulsion, stable traffic conditions (taking into account the value of technological tolerance) and parameters of the field for its permanent technological track. Mathematical analysis of the obtained models substantiates the rational track width of these bridge tractors at the level of 7.5...9 m, according to which the loss of field area under the engineering zone when using them is not more than 5...6%
Thermal - Vacuum dehydration and dispergation of dispersed materials
[EN] Scientific and technical studies on the intensification of removal moisture from dispersed materials and their simultaneous dispergation in the hollow heating element of a thermo-vacuum apparatus is researched. Continuous thermo-vacuum dehydration and dispergation process of zirconium hydroxide, brown coal, graphite, sawdust, biological materials is considered. Based on conducted studies was made conclusions about perspective to use this technology. Thermo-vacuum technology is different from the other by low-temperature heating, low time processing, humidity indicators controlling and nano-dispersion grinding.Kutovyi, V.; Tkachenko, V.; Nikolaenko, A. Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Evidence of non-Dzyaloshinskii–Moriya ferromagnetism in epitaxial BiFeO3 films
X-ray diffraction analysis and high-resolution electron microscopy of BiFeO3 films prepared by dc magnetron sputtering on single-crystal LaAlO3 (001) substrates reveal that the films have a highly c-oriented orthorhombic crystalline structure. The magnetic properties of the BiFeO3 films are typical of ensembles of interacting superparamagnetic clusters, rather than Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya weak ferromagnets. The appearance of extrinsic nanoscale superparamagnetic clusters is explained by an oxygen deficiency in certain regions of the film, where ferromagnetic ordering can be realized through a double-exchange Zener mechanism.Applied Science
