Investigation of "fur-like" residues post dry etching of polyimide using aluminum hard etch mask

    No full text
The authors found that oxygen plasma etching of polyimide (PI) with aluminum (Al) as a hard-etch mask results in lightly textured arbitrary shaped “fur-like” residues. Upon investigation, the presence of Al was detected in these residues. Ruling out several causes of metal contamination that were already reported in literature, a new theory for the presence of the metal containing residues is described. Furthermore, different methods for the residue free etching of PI using an Al hard-etch by using different metal deposition and patterning methods are explored. A fur-free procedure for the etching of PI using a one step-reactive ion etch of the metal hard-etch mask is presented.Accepted author manuscriptElectronic Components, Technology and Material

Abdul-Raheem al- Burei (Died: 803 A.H) was a prominent Arabic poet from the Yemeni origin. His basic area of poetic exploration was the “Praise of the Holy Prophet”(Peace be upon Him) or “al- Madeeh al- Nabawi” (المديح النبوي ﷺ). Because there is this big hindrance prevailing in front the of research scholars of not being able to find proper information about the details of his life from the authentic sources, so in search of trustworthy data about al- Burei’s life and works, the author relies majorly on al- Burei’s own writings, particularly his Diwan (Anthology of the poems). The author of this article accumulates the reliable basic information about al- Burei’s life, then identifies his general poetic characteristics and personal specific stylistics which distinguish him from his peers. In this pursuit, the author attempts to trace rhetoric elements and arrangements articulated by al- Burei, as well as to present a brief study of the repeated topics and frequently appearing major themes of his complete poetic works. This research paper is focused to evaluate the actual contribution of al- Burei towards the vast repository of Arabic poetry. Also, the author is aiming to compile a condensed image of the content of al- Burei’s Diwan (Anthology of the poems)

© 2017 Copyright held by the owner/author(s). The accuracy of Optical Character Recognition (OCR) is sets the limit for the success of subsequent applications used in text analyzing pipeline. Recent models of OCR postprocessing significantly improve the quality of OCR-generated text but require engineering work or resources such as humanlabeled data or a dictionary to perform with such accuracy on novel datasets. In the present paper we introduce a technique for OCR post-processing that runs off-the-shelf with no resources or parameter tuning required. In essence, words which are similar in form that are also distributionally more similar than expected at random are deemed OCR-variants. As such it can be applied to any language or genre (as long as the orthography segments the language at the word-level). The algorithm is illustrated and evaluated using a multilingual document collection and a benchmark English dataset

Tryst with Koki by Sindhi academic Subhadra Anand can be deemed partition literature/historical fiction which focuses on the resilience shown by an 18-year-old Sindhi protagonist called Sheila in the pre and post partitioning of the Indian subcontinent. In this study, we describe the demonstration and growth of her resilience and that of her brother Suresh in the face of the numerous setbacks they encountered. The characteristics of what makes for this resilience are said to be the characteristics of the Sindhi community. The author uses metaphors and similes to portray how fear and lack of confidence is overcome by love and care for others - both family and community and results in resilience

Being a vital spark in Japanese culture, cats made their way through Japanese Literature and became an imperative potion in the writings where they were often associated with mystery and incongruity owing to the rich symbolism and imagery. Murakami’s writing is sequestered with cats that add an exorbitant richness to his works. They possess an eccentric demeanor and play a vital role in his fiction, from their disappearance to the violence imposed on them, they open new pathways to enter the parallel worlds and allow the characters to enter the quest which ultimately leads them to search for their own identity. The present research work analyzes the representation of these cats in his three major novels of Haruki Murakami— The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle, Kafka on the Shore, and Wild Sheep Chase to show how these cats are used as a medium to enter a parallel world and how they help characters in confronting their darkest fears in order to make them aware of their own existence. Murakami is a prolific Japanese author, known for his surreal, introspective works blending fantasy, reality, and metaphysical themes. His novels, such as Norwegian Wood, Kafka on the Shore, and 1Q84, captivate readers with their poetic prose, symbolism, and enigmatic characters. These cats provide tenderness and warmth to the characters at their lowest and enables them to apprehend a sort of meaning to the relationships they possess. Due to their spellbinding eloquence, they prove to be therapeutic for the characters, aids them in attaining a subjective self and provide them solace in their darkest hours
