Hyppy tuntemattomaan : teatteri-ilmaisun ohjaaja televisiotuotannossa
No full textOpinnäytetyön tavoitteena on tutkia teatteri-ilmaisun ohjaajan koulutuksen soveltuvuutta televisiotuotannossa. Kirjoittaja analysoi omaa ohjaajuuttaan suhteessa kokemuksiinsa teatteri- ja televisioproduktioista. Työssä pohditaan teatteri- ja televisiotuotannon yhtäläisyyttä ohjaajan näkökulmasta sekä teatteri-ilmaisun ohjaajan koulutuksen tuomaa ammattitaitoa. Kirjoittajan tavoitteena on hahmottaa omaa ohjaajuuttaan ja ammattitaitoaan sekä niiden erityispiirteitä suhteessa saatuun koulutukseen.
Työssä käytetään tapausesimerkkinä vuonna 2008 tehtyä ja YLE TV2:ssa esitettyä Mestari-nimistä ohjelmaa. Työn aluksi kirjoittaja määrittelee Mestarin lajityypin käymällä läpi tosi-TV-ohjelmille, asiaohjelmille ja dokumenteille tyypillisiä ominaispiirteitä. Kirjoittaja määrittelee ohjelman tosi-dokumentiksi, jossa yhdistyy niin dokumentille kuin tosi-TV-ohjelmille ominaiset piirteet. Työ on jaksotettu televisiotuotannolle tyypillisen rytmin mukaisesti esituotannosta jälkituotantoon. Kirjoittaja käsittelee työssään televisiotuotannon eri vaiheita ohjaajan näkökulmasta ja etsii samankaltaisuuksia televisio- ja teatterituotantojen tekoprosesseista. Työssä käsitellään tosi-dokumentin käsikirjoittamista ja esitellään erilaisia keinoja käsikirjoitusprosessiin.
Opinnäytetyötä tehdessä ilmeni, että teatteri- ja televisiotuotannoissa on paljon yhtäläisyyksiä. Tärkeimpänä havaintona voidaan pitää teatteri-ilmaisun ohjaajien kykyä soveltaa osaamistaan monenlaisissa tuotannoissa.Main goal of this thesis is to examine the adequacy of the Drama Instructors studies to TV-production. The author compares the similarity in theatre- and TV-production from the director's point of view and assesses the skill gained in her studies. She wants to understand how her education affects her way of seeing drama in different situations, making decisions during the filming and directing a big crew.
The thesis is built on a case study of a TV-program called "Mestari" that was aired in 2008 by YLE TV2 (Finnish Broadcasting company YLE, Channel 2). It starts by defining the genre of the program by demonstrating the characteristic of reality-TV, documentary and factual program. And defines it to be a "reality-documentary" that combines elements from documentary and reality-TV. The work follows the timeline typical to a TV- production from pre- to postproduction. She deals with the different stages from the director's point of view and tries to find the similarities in the different production processes. In the work she describes manuscripting of a reality-documentary and its different methods.
During the writing of the thesis it came clear that there are many similarities in these productions. In both you need to have the courage to jump out of a box and just trust that the drama that you want there to be, will appear, if you just let go and trust your self and the crew. An important discovery was the usability of a Drama instructor's skills in different productions
