E.L. James‘in Grinin Elli Tonu Romanında Byron Kahramanının Yeni ?ekli
The aim of this research is the investigation of the concept of the Byronic hero and the discovery of the Neo-Byronic hero in Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy. This paper focuses on representing and showing the characteristics of the Byronic hero from a new perspective of the Neo-Byronic hero, relying on the hypostases that have been conceived from the period Byron created his heroes and maintains to be shaped in history by literary critics until today. Byronic hero prototype is established by Lord Byron in his major works but the literature of posterity continues to be fascinated by this heroic typology, delivering its various hypostases. The most impressive and unexpected reworking of the Byronic hero is to be found in the contemporary trilogy Fifty Shades of Grey. The purpose of this study is to develop the connections between the Byronic hero and E.L. James‘s hypostasis Christian Grey. The questions that are central to this discourse of the Byronic hero will refer to the ways this character is represented, how much Byronic hero‘s persona is preserved in fascinating Christian Grey and to investigate in which ways the new Byronic hero departs from its original prototype. Other literary examples of Byronic heroes from the 19th century onwards are highlighted, as well as, present some antecedents of the Byronic hero in contemporary popular culture.
Sadomasochism In E.L James' Fifty Shades Trilogy (2011-2012): A Psychoanalytic Approach
This study is about Sadomasochism in E.L James’ Fifty Shades Trilogy (2011-2012) which is analyzed using sychoanalytic Approach proposed by Sigmund Freud. The objectives of this study are to find out what sexual acts are committed by the two major characters as practitioners of sadomasochism, to know the response of the partner, and to find out why the author of the trilogy, E.L James xposed sadomasochism in her books. This research is a qualitative research. The primary data of this research is Fifty Shades Trilogy including Fifty Shades of Grey (2011), Fifty Shades Darker (2011), and Fifty Shades Freed (2012). The secondary data of this research are other sources related to the study including websites and books. The researcher draws three conclusions in this research. Firstly, there are three kinds of sexual activities done by the two major characters namely sexual activities without involving tools, sexual activities involving tools, and sexual activities in the playroom. Secondly, there are four kinds of responses shows by the partner namely wanting, enjoying, feeling reluctant, and unbearable. Thirdly, E.L James exposed sadomasochism in her books to illustrate changes in the characters and to show the readers the effects that Christian’s childhood has caused
Burst-by-Burst Adaptive Multiuser Detection CDMA: A Framework for Existing and Future Wireless Standards
This paper provides a broad overview of the multiuser detection literature of the past few years in a nonmathematical, easily accessible approach. The treatment is then extended to the comparative study of channel-quality controlled burst-by-burst (BbB) adaptive code division multiple access (CDMA) detection such as parallel interference cancellation, successive interference cancellation, and joint detection (JD). It is demonstrated that the best complexity versus performance tradeoff is constituted by the JD receivers. Furthermore, the BbB-adaptive variable spreading factor-based schemes considered were outperformed by the adaptive quadrature amplitude modulation-based JD-CDMA schemes investigated. For example, at a channel signal-to-noise ratio per bit value of = 14 dB the latter scheme provides an average bit per symbol (BPS) throughput of 3.39, while the former provides an average BPS throughput of only 2.83, although the complexity of the latter is lower. In conclusion, BbB-adaptive CDMA schemes provide an attractive performance versus complexity tradeoff and are amenable to employment in both existing and future generations of wireless systems. Ambitions as the Effect of Childhood Experience in E.L. James Fifty Shades of Grey
PROSIDING SEMINAR NASIONAL PEKAN CHAIRIL ANWAR "HUMANIORA DAN ERA DISRUPSI" (5-6 Oktober 2020 Aula Fakultas Ilmu Budaya Universitas Jember)This article aims to analyze the effect of the male character childhood in E.L. James's Fifty Shades of
Grey By using psychological approach to analyze the fictitious character and the creative process of the
author. Theory of interpretation of dream by Sigmund Freud is applied in order to explain the causes of
ambition done by Christian Grey. Grey’s ambition is caused by the desire to revenge from his trauma in
his childhood. There are three factors that make the character ambitious: The first is when Grey uses his
violence (BDSM) to dominate his partner. The second is when Grey want become rich and popular man.
The last is Grey’s heart emptiness after a woman he loved left him. The first problem is in the field of
abnormal psychology in order to differentiate abnormal from normal behavior. In short, Grey's ambitions
are caused by a traumatic condition when he was a child. E.L. James explains a sexual lifestyle which is
called BDSM (Bondage/ Disipline, Dominance/ Submissive, Sadism/ Masochism). By exposing this
lifestyle in her novel, the author wants to shows that BDSM is not an equal relationship between man and
woman
Monetary aggregates and liquidity in a neo-Wicksellian framework
Woodford (2003) describes a popular class of neo-Wicksellian models in which monetary policy is characterized by an interest-rate rule, and the money market and financial institutions are typically not even modeled. Critics contend that these models are incomplete and unsuitable for monetary-policy evaluation. Our Banks and Bonds model starts with a standard neo-Wicksellian model and then adds banks and a role for bonds in the liquidity management of households and banks. The Banks and Bonds model gives a more complete description of the economy, but the neo-Wicksellian model has the virtue of simplicity. Our purpose here is to see if the neo-Wicksellian model gives a reasonably accurate account of macroeconomic behavior in the more complete Banks and Bonds model. We do this by comparing the models’ second moments, variance decompositions and impulse response functions. We also study the role of monetary aggregates and velocity in predicting inflation in the two models.

In the context of global challenges and the need to diversify Russian exports, the elaboration of
neo-industrial export specialization of the country and its regions is the most important form of contribution to the solution of the task set by the Government of the Russian Federation for the development of non-resource non-energy export. In this regard, it seems to be relevant to refer to the concept of neoindustrial export specialization. The article reveals the essence of this category and substantiates the criteria for referring to neo-industrial export specialization. A model has been developed that involves the allocation of two blocks: the formation and promotion of neo-industrial export specialization on the foreign market, the interaction of which determines its development in the country and regions. Most important components of the model are: diversification of industry, development of service sector, support of high-tech SMEs, development of image of region and its involvement into the system of world economic relations, as well as overcoming the gaps in the implementation of regional foreign economic activity. The scientific novelty consists in defining the essence of neo-industrial export specialization of region and its filling with separate elements, as well as with the relations between them.
The methodological approach proposed in the article is grounded on the example of certain components of the typology of the author and assumes further development of a technique for assessing the neo-industrial export specialization of the Russian regions.
