The main purpose of this master thesis is to determine types of foreign direct investments (FDI) in two distinct parts of the European Union (the EU): in 14 countries that were part of the union in 1995 (EU-14) and 8 new member states in Central and Eastern European (CEE) region that joined in 2004. Master thesis consists of three parts: the analysis of the literature, research and its results, a conclusion and recommendations. Literature analysis focused on review of the theories that led to the development of the FDI, application of them in this work, as well as overview of previous research on the FDI determinants in the CEE region. The author defined proxy variables such as GDP, inflation, wage rate, education and resource rents that acted as representatives of certain types of FDI. Following literature analysis, the author applied defined panel data model to carry out the research into FDI determinants in two regions. After calculations were done, the author found out that FDI in EU-14 countries is mainly positively influenced by GDP per capita, while for CEE region rising wages is negative factor and inflation rate has positive influence. Conclusions were made that the EU, although acting like joint economic union, is not homogenous in attracting FDI. The countries of EU-14 region have shown specialization in market-seeking FDI and CEE region in efficiency-seeking type. The natural resource seeking FDI does not have standing in either of regions and asset-seeking FDI requires further research. Author believes that results of the study can be useful for more precise definition of governmental investment-seeking policies. During this work several research gaps were found, mainly in relationship of education and FDI, which author recommends to explore further

Abstract
The article conceptualizes the phenomenon of “ecological values”, which is the basis of educational and professional training of future teachers of natural sciences. The research focuses on identifying the system of values and their hierarchy in order to achieve at least two key results: 1) the formation of a higher level of a value sphere of future natural sciences teachers and improvement of the process of acquired values transfer; 2) improvement of learning outcomes (improvement in behavior, awareness, knowledge). Based on the extensive analysis of the scientific literature, the research suggests the meaningful characteristic of the formulated ecological values of the future natural sciences teachers. As a result, the research has considered the ecological values of future natural sciences teachers as an integrated value block in the system of their value orientations.

Complications of epidural adhesiolysis
Epidural adhesiolysis is a minimally invasive procedure used to treat neuro-compression pain of the lumbosacral part of spine with degenerative diseases. Thanks to being minimally invasive and to its high efficiency, the rate of this procedure in recent years has increased significantly. On a material of 760 patients we analyzed the mistakes and complications related to epidural adhesiolysis. The complications of varying severity were observed in our 297 (30.0%) patients. Of these, the complications which did not require any modifications of treatment strategies, or its minor correction occurred in 277 (36.4%) patients; complications requiring reinstallation of the catheter were observed in 15 (1.9%) patients; complications of moderate severity, as epidural hematoma, epiduritis we noted in 5 (0.6%) patients; threatening complication of spontaneous rupture of the dura mater followed by the catheter hypertonic solution of sodium chloride, we observed in one (0.1%) case.

Abstract. The thesis that environmental problems are the most dangerous ones is widely recognized nowadays. In modern educational conditions, a teacher of natural sciences can be a promoter of ecological values. This makes relevant the need to develop new approaches to the training of teachers of this profile.
This study deals with the formation of eco-values of future natural sciences teachers and proposes a number of changes to the educational content of their training by involving the author’s educational and methodological developments – subject “Axiology”, special course “Axiological foundations of training future natural sciences teachers”, and axio-pedagogical training. The material presents an empirical part of the study that reflects the definition and analysis of the dynamics of formation and assimilation of environmental values due to the changes in the educational content.
The research used the following elements of the diagnostic system: method of diagnosing the intensity of subjective attitude to nature “Nature Lover” by V. Yasvin, S. Deryaba and determination of the peculiarities of the formation of ecological consciousness components, methodology of the questionnaire “Ecological concepts”, questionnaire “Determination of the level of assimilation of ecological concepts” by T. Yevdokimova, technique “Incomplete sentences” by O. Hrybanova, and technique “Test of the development level of the ecological consciousness components of the individual” by O. Asafova.
The empirical research established the psychological and pedagogical features of the ecological values development among students.

Bilateral cooperation between Ukraine and EU member states on labor migration: current status and prospects for development
The article reveals the issues of modern bilateral legal regulation of labor migration between Ukraine and EU member states. Bilateral cooperation can be considered the most effective, because it takes into account the actual problems between the participants and is focused on specific subjects. The existing agreements are analyzed, their common and distinctive features are singled out, and the advantages and disadvantages of such agreements are revealed. The author substantiates the conclusion in the article that the Association Agreement does not grant Ukrainian citizens the right to free employment on the territory of EU member states and to free movement within the EU for this purpose. Nothing in the Association Agreement can be interpreted as such that acts as a basis for free employment of Ukrainian citizens. The author has analyzed the agreements that are currently in force with the member states of the European Union, and based on this analysis, he derived the author’s classification, which divides the agreements according to their key characteristics. According to the criterion, author distinguished four types of agreements: cooperation agreements (Belgium); migration flow management agreements (Spain); agreements on mutual employment of citizens and labor activity (Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Czech Republic); temporary migration agreements (Portugal). The shortcomings of the relevant agreements and ways to improve the future content of such agreements have been identified. The author established interrelation between the agreements concluded in the same period and also allocated the questions which should be fixed in the future bilateral agreements. The article argues that international treaties governing the protection of the rights of migrant workers and employment regulate the basic procedural issues of employment of foreigners in their territory, the requirements for them, as well as the rights he is granted if such requirements are met. The author also identifi es ways to develop bilateral cooperation between Ukraine and EU member states, paying special attention to the following areas: development of the international legal framework with the member states of the Union; institutional cooperation; implementation of international and European norms and standards
Towards the Question of PR’s Social Role and Ethics
The article reviews pragmatic, conservative, radical, idealistic, neutral, critical, and vulgar-managerial worldview approaches to the interpretation of public relations’ social role in a society wide-familiar within the theory and practice of Western countries. Sharing the American scholar James Grunig’s and his colleagues’ point of view on the normative theory of ethical PR, the author shows that only in case of the practical application of symmetrical (ideal) model of communication between organizations and publics, the social institute of public relations may overcome an utilitarian approach to ethics and become more effective and socially responsible. The author comes to the conclusion that application of such a symmetrical model of public relations in Ukraine will promote the democratic development and creation of a civil society in this country
Pre-Election Campaign Communication and Publicity: Political Phenomenon, Structure, and Functions
From political practitioners’ point of view the pre-election campaign publicity is a complicated political phenomenon and at the same time the process built upon the rules of political communication that fulfills a number of consistent functions during campaign. Among these functions are: political party, new election bloc or separate candidate’s name identification; election bloc and can didate’s im age building; election platform identification, issue development and exploitation; campaign messages symbolization and advertising as well as others. The author came to the conclusion that these types of factors in most cases motivate voter choices in elections in Ukraine

Autobiography of archeologist and numismat Valentin Shugaevsky
The purpose of the article is to publish the original text of the autobiography of the Ukrainian archaeologist, numismatist and museologist Valentyn Shugaevsky (1884–1966), which reflects the life and scientific achievements of the scientist from 1884 to the end of the 1930s, who worked for a long time in Chernihiv region. Valentyn Shugaevsky was the first head of the museum «monopolist» of Chernihiv – Chernihiv State Museum (now – V. V. Tarnovskyi Chernihiv Historical Museum), the first chairman of the Committee for the Protection of Antiquities and Art of Chernihiv, one of the first researchers of archaeological complexes near the villages of Shestovytsia and Vypovziv, the author of the first monograph on the history of money circulation in the Ukrainian lands in the seventeenth century, took an active part in the creation – Hlukhiv, Konotop, Novhorod-Siversky, Sosnytsia and Oster museums, researched and studied the numismatic collections of the following museums: Odessa Historical and Archaeological, Kharkiv Archaeological, Poltava, Dnipropetrovsk, Vinnytsia, Mariupol and Yalta. Valentyn Andriyovych was born into the family of Chernihiv lawyer Andriy Stepanovych Shugaevsky, and his grandfather, Archpriest Stefan Vasyliovych Shugaevsky, was the rector of the Friday Church in Chernihiv (from 1839 to 1898). The family had an estate, which was located at the corner of Vozdvyzhenska and Mstislavska streets. V. Shugaevsky was almost the only specialist in the Chernihiv region in archeology, numismatics and museum work, who had the appropriate education and work experience (graduated from the Archaeological Institute in St. Petersburg). The scientific novelty is that the text of Valentin Shugaevsky’s autobiography, which is kept in the family archive in the USA, was published for the first time. The document provides biographical data and an overview of the scientific activities of V. Shugaevsky from 1884 to 1938. Conclusions. Autobiography helps to establish the little-known pages of the life and work of V. Shugaevsky, especially in the 20–30s. Twentieth century, when the scientist was actively engaged in museum work, archeology, numismatics. The document was compiled in late 1938 by Valentin Shugaevsky himself
