پروین شاکر کی غزل کا علامتی مطالعہ: A Symbolic Study of Parveen Shakir's Ghazal
There are so many changing colors of the symbol in the poetry of Parveen Shakir. The color of hijr, the color of wasal and the color of dreams. Just like a movie it has motion, scenes, thriller, romance. Mono is a blocking technique of people and consciousness. The poetry continues to narrate the entire story in flashbacks. Parting is a dark and sad scene. In the background is the voice of a brahmin chasing the past moments. This voice has a wonderful magnetic appeal. And it looks like a picture. A portrait on the wall, a girl like “Khoi Khoi”. The night stares at this image until night falls and then in a moment of imagination places her lips on it, When the eyes open, the image disappears from sight and the eye wanders in the deserts in search of this image. Eventually that eye becomes a desert
Histirical Narrative in Urdu Novel
Language is the only source of tranquility and accomplishment for humanity since ancient times. Epiphany fortifies the expressive ability of a language. An author narrates a story in various ways according to his/her own will. This way of expressing thoughts in words is known as narration. Narration is the canvas which portrays romantic, political, historical, religious, social and cultural concepts. This article unveils the discussion pertaining to historical, mythological and archival narrations. Shams-ur-Rahman’s novel “Kei Chand thy Sar-e-Asmaan”, Mirza Hamid Baig’s novel “Anarkali”, Waheed Ahmad ’s novel “Zeeno”, Yaqoob Yawar’s novel “Ezazeel” and Fahmida Riaz’s novel “Qilah Framoshi” are the finest examples of archival and myhological narrations.</p

اردو ناول میں بیان کنندہ کا تصور
Gérard Gennette is among the famous theorists of narration. He elucidated the Theory of Narration in his book “Narrative Discourse”. In this book he expounds story, diazeuctic/discourse and narrative act in narration. According to Gennette, narrative act is the backbone of a story. In a text, narration is narrated and acted as well and narrator is one who narrates story. Historical, cultural, social, political, psychological and philosophical aspects are the backdrop of a story. Selection of the expression for the specific conduct impacts the construction of a story.
Narrator is the manoeuvring tool which an author choose intentionally. Plato has propounded that mimicry and storytelling are the framework ofa story. Henry James is also a co-thinker of Plato. Two types of narrator i.e. homodigetic andheterodigetic act hand in hand to fabricate the associative meaning and make a text more eloquent. In this article, narrators of the selected Urdu novels are retrieved
The Analysis of Performance Appraisal System of Amin Mohammad Group”.
In 1993, Amin Mohammad Group began its journey as a real estate developer company. AMG is working in Bangladesh for a long time and in the sector of real estate they are truly giving fantastic service. To supports the organization in order to achieve the objectives and works with a focus on accomplishing the mission and vision of the organization, AMG has a solid Human Resource department. To identify how performance appraisal is practiced in AMG is the objective of the report and to what extent does it match with my educational program. HR department basically conduct the performance appraisal of AMG. Both primary and secondary data are used to prepare this report. With interviewing personnel I have gathered primary data and secondary data was collected from the organization’s employee handbook, website, and other relevant books. How performance appraisal is conducted in AMG and how the company evaluates employees’ performance is the main focus of this report. Here I also do some major analysis which shows the main portion of the performance appraisal system of AMG and also provide a short summary of the major Findings. In the end, I provide some recommendation with the implementation process on performance appraisal of which might benefit the organization for the long run
An exploratory investigation into human resource practices and employee retention outcome in the Malaysian ICT industry
Author name as given on title page: Parveen Kaur Sukhdarshan SinghThis thesis explores the human resource practices and employee turnover problem in several local and international ICT companies in Malaysia. Human resource practices are used as an intervention to investigate the turnover problem because various strategic human resource management (strategic HRM) and IT/ICT employee management studies advocate that companies should invest in employee-friendly and advanced human resource practices that are beneficial for their employees, because employees’ positive responses will benefit the employers eventually, for example, by lowering the companies’ turnover rates. However, by adopting the constructivist paradigm, qualitative research methodology and constructivist grounded theory approach along with interviews with senior managers, Human Resource Managers and ICT employees, this thesis finds that the impact of human resource practices on employees and employers is not as straightforward as what has been claimed in the studies. This thesis discovers three types of human resource practices, i.e. Paternalistic, Formal and Informal, which affect employees and employers in four different ways ranging from mutually benefitting both parties to not benefitting both parties.
In addition to the three types of human resource practices, this thesis also discovers four types of employee outcomes and two types of employer outcomes, which when compiled together, provides an in-depth understanding of what is happening in the Malaysian ICT industry in relation to adoption of human resource practices and employee retention outcomes
Oscar Wilde and Victorian Psychology
This thesis examines Oscar Wilde’s theories of art in connection with specific debates ongoing in Victorian psychology as it emerged in the periodical press. By cross examining
Wilde’s periodical contributions with psychological theories, concepts and discussions disseminated through periodicals this thesis offers a contextual account of Wilde’s creativity. Scholars generally look to Wilde’s Oxford Notebooks to gain an insight into his interaction with scientific culture. While the notebooks are an invaluable source to scholars they only cover Wilde’s learning in the 1870s and therefore exclude the influential context of the 1880s when he was engaged as a journalist for numerous periodicals and newspapers.
Chapter one will demonstrate how reading Wilde’s The Picture of Dorian Gray alongside neighbouring articles in the Lippincott’s Monthly Magazine reveals the hidden context of psychology in which the editors of the issue attempted to establish the text. The second chapter explores Wilde’s engagement in the disputes over psychological nomenclature alongside the psychology of George Henry Lewes, James Sully and other contributors. The third chapter will investigate the network in which Wilde’s reviewing for the Pall Mall Gazette established him. Wilde’s exchanges with aesthetic theorists and fellow reviewers Sully and Grant Allen will also be documented.
The fourth chapter will demonstrate how Wilde creatively engaged with theories of atomism, emotionalist psychology and physiological aesthetics. The final chapter will examine the ethical questions posed by Wildean aesthetics in relation to scientific naturalism. Wilde originally communicated his theories through periodicals but also delivered lectures (which were reported in magazines), as well as eventually transforming his periodical articles into book publications. While this thesis places the onus on the periodical formats of Wilde’s texts, his lectures and revised editions of his writings will also be examined where relevant
Higher-Order Phase-Space Reconstruction for Detection of Epileptic Electroencephalogram
In this paper, the authors propose a new technique for the classification of seizures, non-seizures, and seizure-free EEG signals based on non-linear trajectories of EEG signals. The EEG signals are decomposed using the EMD technique to obtain intrinsic mode functions (IMFs). The phase space of these IMFs is then reconstructed using a novel technique of higher-order dimensions (3D, 4D, 5D, 6D, 7D, 8D, 9D, and 10D). The existing techniques of seizure detection have deployed 2D & 3D phase–space reconstruction only. The Euclidean distance of all higher-order PSR is used as a feature to classify seizures, non-seizures, and seizure-free EEG signals. The performance of the proposed method is analyzed on the Bonn University database in which 7D reconstructed phase space classification accuracy of 99.9% has been achieved both using Random Forest classifier and J48 decision tree
