Pengaruh Konseling Gizi Terhadap Kepatuhan Diet Diabetes Mellitus di Ruang Rawat Inap RSUD Deli Serdang Lubuk Pakam
The change in lifestyle and the technological advancement has the impact on health problem, especially on noncommunicable diseases like Diabetes Mellitus (DM). Nutritional counseling about DM dieting gives an alternative to increase the compliance with DM dieting. The objective of the research was to find out the influence of nutritional counseling on DM dieting in the inpatients wards of RSUD Deli Serdang.
This research is a quasi-experimental research by using one group pre test and post test design. The populations was 80 DM in May 2016 and 38 of them were used as the samples. Compliance was measured in three aspects: types of food, the number of meals, and meal schedule. The data of this research were calculated and analyzed by using t-test
The results of the research showed that before the nutritional counseling, the percentage of non-complied DM patients was 73.7%. The non-complied on meal schedule aspect was 71.1%, on the number of meals aspect was 44,7%, and on the type of food was 23.7%. After the counseling, the compliance level improved to 65.8%. The increasing of compliance on meal schedule aspect was 58%, on the number of meals aspect was 27% and on the type of food was 19%. The analysis showed that there was the influence of nutritional counseling on compliance with DM dieting at p = 0.0001. The compliance to meal schedule at p = 0.0001, the compliane to the number of meals at p = 0.003 and the compliance to the types of food with p = 0.033.
The influence of effective and communicative nutritional counseling improved the patients compliance to DM dieting. It was recommended that nutritional counseling be given to patients who are treated for the first time in the hospital in getting information about diabetes mellitus in order to increace their compliance.Perubahan pola hidup dan peningkatan teknologi memberikan dampak pada permasalahan kesehatan terutama penyakit tidak menular seperti Diabetes Mellitus (DM). Konseling gizi tentang diet DM memberikan alternatif dapat membantu meningkatkan kepatuhan terhadap diet DM. Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh konseling gizi terhadap diet diabetes mellitus di ruang rawat inap RSUD Deli Serdang.
Penelitian ini quasi eksperimen dengan rancangan penelitian one group pre test dan post test. Populasi adalah seluruh pasien penderita diabetes mellitus berjumlah 80 orang pada bulan Mei 2016 dengan sampel penelitian 38 orang. Kepatuhan diukur dengan tiga aspek yaitu jadwal makan, jumlah makan dan jenis makan. Analisis data dengan menggunakan t test.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sebelum dilakukan konseling gizi pasien penderita diabetes mellitus tidak patuh berdiet (73,7%). Ketidakpatuhan tersebut pada aspek jadwal makan 71,1%, pada aspek jumlah makanan 44,7% dan pada jenis makanan sebesar 23,7%. Sesudah dilakukan konseling gizi tingkat kepatuhan meningkat menjadi 65,8%. Peningkatan kepatuhan pada aspek jadwal (58%), kenaikan pada aspek jumlah 27% dan aspek jenis sebesar 19%. Hasil analisis menunjukkan ada peningkatan kepatuhan diet DM setelah dilakukan konseling gizi dengan p=0,0001. Kepatuhan terhadap jadwal makan (p=0,0001), kepatuhan terhadap jumlah makanan (p=0,003) dan kepatuhan terhadap jenis makanan (p=0,033).
Pengaruh konseling gizi yang efektif dan komunikatif membuat peningkatan pada kepatuhan menjalankan diet. Disarankan memberikan konseling gizi bagi pasien yang pertama dirawat di rumah sakit agar mendapatkan informasi mengenai diabetes mellitus dalam meningkatkan kepatuhan.116 HalamanTesis Magiste
