Inscription on Front: To the Family, Lovingly David & Kiyoko August 28, 1948.Naoki ("Jack") and Tsuyoko (nee Tanoue) Koyasako were farmers who grew asparagus and onions in Clarksburg, California. They had eight children: Suenari ("Sue"), Kazuo ("Jackson), Kiyoko ("Kik"), Yoshio ("Yank"), Sueo ("Goi"), Jimmy, Tsuyako ("Chuck"), and Mitsuo ("Mits). Suenari married Alma Makashima. The Koyasako family was incarcerated at Tule Lake and took photographs with a contraband camera. Suenari was a musician in the "Paradise Melodiers" band that played in the Tule Lake administration building

No full textLamellisphecia wiangensis Kallies & Arita, 2004 Figs 5, 11 Material examined. Holotype: ♂, Thailand, Wiang Pa Pao, 25.ix.2001, M. Ikeda leg. (Fig. 5, NSMT). Additional material: 1 ♂, same locality, 23.ix.2003, M. Ikeda leg. (NSMT) (genitalia examined, prep. AK870, Fig. 11). This species was known only from the holotype. We can now report a second specimen from Thailand, collected at the type locality. I remember the Colleens
No full textIn this "I remember" memoir, Laye Ikeda Nagahiro recalls a service club she belonged to at Seabrook called "The Colleens." The Colleens were responsible for planning and organizing community events, such as dances and contests. They often received assistance from a boys group called the Hornets. The Colleens also babysat for various families at Seabrook. Ten cents of every dollar each girl earned was donated the club's treasury. The Seabrook Educational and Cultural Center has been soliciting current and past residents of Seabrook Farms for an "I remember" project. Residents are asked to create narratives regarding their experiences at Seabrook Farms. These memories help preserve the history and multi-cultural heritage of Seabrook Farms
