facendone spazi definiti e strutturati di potere all’interno dei distretti amministrativi regi, i giustizierati. Di pari passo si consolidarono alcuni lignaggi aristocratici: un esempio è dato dai Ruffo di Calabria, del ramo dei baroni di Sinopoli, che accede al titolo comitale nel 1334. In questo
lavoro sono analizzati con attenzione due documenti di pregio, i cartulari n. 1 e n. 17 (Archivio di Stato di Napoli), integrandoli con tutta la documentazione pervenuta. Il cartulario n. 17 contiene una platea del 1335, che riprende uno o due testi antecedenti scritti in greco e tradotti in latino. È al tempo stesso un capobreve e uno statuto comunale e costituisce il documento principale per studiare la creazione, la composizione e il funzionamento della contea di Sinopoli, nonché il mondo delle dipendenze personali per status (vassallus) o per possesso terriero da
parte di uomini liberi (burgenses). Non mancano suffeudatari o raccomandati. / ENGLISH: Charles I of Anjou restored the counties according to the Norman system; his successors improved them and let them become a space of local power inside the the Royal districts, the giustizierati.
At the same time some aristocratic families consolidated themselves, like the Ruffo of Calabria, lords of Sinopoli, who obtained the comital title in 1334. The paper analyses two important records: the cartulario 1 and the cartulario 17, integrating them with all the available documents. The cartulario 17 contains platea dating from 1335, which includes one or two older texts written in Greek and translated into Latin. It is at the same time an inventory and a municipal statute. The cartulario 17 is the main source for studying the creation, composition and ruling of the county of Sinopoli, not to mention the various world of the subjects to the lords, according to their status (vassallus) or their possessions as freemen (burgenses).
