Design and Modelling of a CSC Converter with a variable DC link voltage to drive a Brushless DC Motor Drive
IoT Based Supervisory and Diagnosis System for Solar Farm
Simple gadgets in the physical world are controlled over the internet by Internet of Things (IoT). To manage our gadgets remotely in integration with the already available internet infrastructure, chance for the natural linking of physical devices internationally in a personal computer, gains performance, perfection and cost benefits beyond the limited transcend manual involvement. This generation has more implementations such as microgrids, solar hamlets, solar metropolis, solar lamps. Renewable energy sources have grown quicker than at any moment in the old days of this era. The recommended device mentions an online visualization of the use of solar power as sustainable energy. Supervision is done by the Arduino Nano microcontroller with Sim800l. Smart Supervision shows the day-to-day consumption of sustainable energy via the Android app. This assists the user to analyze energy consumption and alerts the user in case of failure. The rating affects the consumption of renewable energy and energy problems
Fuzzy Based Landsman Converter For Pumping Application
Fuzzy controlled landsman converter employed for pumping application is presented here. Landsman converter(LC) is designed using voltage multiplier cell which makes the converter from reduced switching voltages. The controller is designed with Fuzzy logic to derive constant voltage output irrespective of variation of input of the converter. The input to the converter is fed from solar panel(250W). The DC output voltage of converter is fed to the electrical machine to run for different pumping applications. The design of controller and converter is analyzed using MATLAB
Narrative Journalism in Truman Capote’s In Cold Blood
This paper deals with how Narrative Journalism influences the novels in literature with special reference to the non-fiction In Cold Blood by Truman Capote. The author is forced to yield a serious new art form in Literature through Narrative Journalism. To demonstrate the literary techniques of the novel, Capote applied Literary Journalism. In a simple definition, Narrative Journalism is a technique and stylistic strategy traditionally associated with non-fiction, and also it is at times used interchangeably with creative nonfiction. Capote learned of the quadruple murder in The New York Times, before the killers were captured. Then he decided to travel to Kansas and write about the crime with his fellow author Harper lee who has also written a few non-fictions. Here Capote brings out the true crime story for which he interviewed local residents and investigators assigned to the case and took thousand pages of notes. He also took extensive detail and simultaneous triple narrative. And the story is told from two alternating perspectives; the thought of the murderers and the people affected by the crime. Capote’s purpose of writing this novel was to let the readers know about the prior planning, thoughts and purpose of the crime by the murderers that would not be shown in a typical news report. Unlike other authors his objective was in showing the mindset of the murderers while committing the crime. The highlight of the study is how Narrative Journalism is applied in Capote’s In Cold Blood

Clinical utility of NT-pro BNP in patients with acute cardiac failure: an observational study
Background. BNP along with its inactive N-terminal fragment, NT-pro BNP, plays a crucial role as serum biomarkers in the management of heart failure (HF). Increased levels indicate various pathophysiological processes such as cardiac structural and functional abnormalities, myocardial stretching caused by heightened filling pressure, and activation of neuro-hormones. Aim. To evaluate the clinical use of NT-Pro BNP in cases of suspected cardiac failure and its effectiveness in distinguishing between cardiac and respiratory dyspnea. Materials and methods. The research was carried out at Saveetha Medical College in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, as a case-control study. One hundred patients, between the ages of 40 and 70, who were suspected of having Acute cardiac failure, were recruited for the study from January 2023 to January 2024. Results. The proportion of people with cardiac dysfunction as evaluated by Echocardiography was 69% in the study population, and the mean NT pro-BNP was significantly higher among the cardiac dysfunction group as compared to the pulmonary dysfunction group. The NT PRO BNP's predictive validity was shown
to be good (AUC 0.871, 95% CI 0.780 to 0.961, p-value <0.001). Conclusion. The current study has tested the sensitivity and various cut-off values of NT Pro BNP and found the cut-off level of ≥1000 may be the ideal cut-off level, as it provided a better combination of sensitivity and specificity (87% and 74.2% respectively). A lower cut-off value (500) leads to an increase in sensitivity (98.6%), at the cost of specificity (64.5%)
A CROSS SECTIONAL SURVEY ON THE PRACTICE OF RASAYANA DRUGS IN NEURO DEGENERATIVE CONDITIONS
Study of adverse drug reactions associated with antiepileptic drugs: a pharmacovigilance study using spontaneous reporting system
Background: More than 25 antiepileptic drugs (AEDs) are available in the Indian market to treat epilepsy of which many have similar efficacy but differ in their tolerability and are associated with many adverse drug reactions (ADRs). ADRs are one of the most common causes of death and clinical trials are not sufficient to uncover all the ADRs, hence post-marketing surveillance or pharmacovigilance is necessary. The aim of the study was to analyze the ADRs of AEDs by spontaneous reporting system under Pharmacovigilance Program of India (PvPI).Methods: Suspected ADR reporting forms provided by PvPI were used to collect the data from healthcare professionals of Madras Medical College and Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital, Chennai. Results: A total of 77 ADRs from 61 reports were analysed of which 34 were male and 27 were female patients and maximum were in the middle-aged adult group (N=44). Majority of the ADRs were related to skin and subcutaneous disorders (N=55) and most implicated ADR was found to be maculopapular rash (N=12) associated with phenytoin. Most of the ADRs were non-serious (N=42) and were probable category (N=45) as per WHO-UMC scale. Conclusions: Monitoring ADRs in patients using antiepileptic drugs is a matter of importance; hence a robust pharmacovigilance practice is essential
Synthesis and Thermal Characterization of Lanthanide(III) Complexes with Mercaptosuccinic Acid and Hydrazine as Ligands
Reaction of hydrazine and mercaptosuccinic acid with metal ions forms complexes with general formula [Ln(N2H4)2CH2(COO)CH(SH)(COO)1.5]·(H2O), where Ln = La(III), Pr(III), Nd(III), Sm(III), and Gd(III) at pH 5. The complexes have been characterized by elemental analysis, IR and UV-visible spectroscopic, thermal and X-ray diffraction studies. The IR data reveal that the acid moiety in the complexes is present as dianion due to the deprotonation of COOH groups by lanthanides in these complexes, leaving –SH group unionized and hydrazine as bidental neutral ligand showing absorptions in the range of 945–948 cm−1. The thermoanalytical data evince that the complexes are stable up to 103°C and undergo complete decomposition in the range of 550–594°C resulting in metal oxides. SEM images of La2O3 and Gd2O3 residues show their nano sized clusters suggesting that the complexes may be used as precursors for nano La2O3 and Gd2O3, respectively. X-ray powder diffraction patterns show isomorphism among the complexes. The kinetic parameters of the decomposition of the complexes have been computed by Coats-Redfern equation
Hydrazine-1,2-diium bis(3-carboxy-4-hydroxybenzenesulfonate) tetrahydrate
Reaction of 5-sulfosalicylic acid with hydrazine hydrate at pH = 1 results in the formation of the title hydrated salt, 0.5N2H62+·C7H5O6S−·2H2O. The hydrazinium dications lie on centres of inversion. They are located between 3-carboxy-4-hydroxybenzenesulfonate anions, forming intermolecular N—H...O hydrogen bonds with sulfonate ions and water molecules of crystallisation. Further intra- and intermolecular O—H...O hydrogen bonds are observed in the crystal structure
