The objective of the study is to analyze the graduates’ career management skills, employability and also the relationship between them. In this study, Bridgstock (2009)’s model is used. The statistical analysis of descriptive statistics, correlation and regression methods was used. To fulfill this paper, the survey was conducted by interviewing sample 387 respondents of total population of 11314 graduates (2010- 2014), Yangon University of Economics with structured questionnaire via phone, email, facebook, messenger and collected data in courses. As the statistics result of correlation analysis, four skills (discipline-specific skill, generic skill, self-management skills, and career-building skills) have positive relationship with employability. Especially, generic skills, self-management skills and career-building skills have fairly positive relationship with employability, According to regression analysis, generic skills, career-building skills and self-management skills are significant impact on employability at 0.01 level. According to Bridgstock (2009)’s model, all fours skills are positively and directly relationship with employability. And hence when making analysis in Myanmar, especially, we find that knowledge (generic skill) and career management skills (self-management skills, career–building skills) are significant with employability. Thus, we concluded that career management skills/ employability skills are very important in enhancing employability and directly pertinent to obtaining and maintain work. Finally, this study suggests that both graduates who from existing workplace need to require to continue update their existing abilities and skills and fresh graduates who begin to enter job market also prepare to have proficiency in their relative field of study, to be familiar with basic information technology, to have team spirit, to strike continuously better own skills and qualifications in order to improve in future, need to collect information about chosen career, need to know how to effectively apply for and obtain work in a way that is attractive to employers

Drug sellers are often the very first and last connection between the medicine and the patient, so it is important that the drug sellers should have correct and appropriate knowledge and attitude on pharmacy practice in their pharmacies. This study aimed to determine the knowledge, attitude and practices of drug sellers. The survey was conducted in 168 drugs sellers from Pazuntaung, Tharkayta and Tamwe townships by simple random sampling. The drug sellers were interviewed with structured questionnaires and descriptive method is used in this study. The result showed that minority of the drug sellers (10.1%) had low knowledge and majority (89.9%) had high knowledge on pharmacy practice. Number of drug sellers with positive attitude is slightly higher than those with negative attitude, having 55.4% and 44.6% respectively. The result of high knowledge and attitude level is due to their high education status limitation in pharmacies which has minimum of passed high school to sell the drugs. On the other hand, 73.2% of drugs sellers had poor practice and only one fourth (26.8%) had good practice on pharmacy selling. The result of poor practice is due to the weak regulation and control system of pharmacy practice in Myanmar

Consistency in the AMSR-E snow products: groundwork for a coupled snowfall and SWE algorithm

2019 Fall.Includes bibliographical references.Snow is an important wintertime property because it is a source of freshwater, regulates land-atmosphere exchanges, and increases the surface albedo of snow-covered regions. Unfortunately, in-situ observations of both snowfall and snow water equivalent (SWE) are globally sparse and point measurements are not representative of the surrounding area, especially in mountainous regions. The total amount of land covered by snow, which is climatologically important, is fairly straightforward to measure using satellite remote sensing. The total SWE is hydrologically more useful, but significantly more difficult to measure. Accurately measuring snowfall and SWE is an important first step toward a better understanding of the impacts snow has for hydrological and climatological purposes. Satellite passive microwave retrievals of snow offer potential due to consistent overpasses and the capability to make measurements during the day, night, and cloudy conditions. However, passive microwave snow retrievals are less mature than precipitation retrievals and have been an ongoing area of research. Exacerbating the problem, communities that remotely sense snowfall and SWE from passive microwave sensors have historically operated independently while the accuracy of the products has suffered because of the physical and radiometric dependency between the two. In this study, we assessed the relationship between the Northern Hemisphere snowfall and SWE products from the Advanced Microwave Scanning Radiometer - Earth Observing System (AMSR-E). This assessment provides insight into regimes that can be used as a starting point for future improvements using coupled snowfall and SWE algorithm. SnowModel, a physically-based snow evolution modeling system driven by the Modern-Era Retrospective analysis for Research and Applications, Version 2 (MERRA-2) reanalysis, was employed to consistently compare snowfall and SWE by accounting for snow evolution. SnowModel has the ability to assimilate observed SWE values to scale the amount of snow that must have fallen to match the observed SWE. Assimilation was performed using AMSR-E, Canadian Meteorological Centre (CMC) Snow Analysis, and Snow Data Assimilation System (SNODAS) SWE to infer the required snowfall for each dataset. Observed AMSR-E snowfall and SWE were then compared to the MERRA-2 snowfall and SnowModel-produced SWE as well as SNODAS and CMC inferred snowfall and observed SWE. Results from the study showed significantly different snowfall and SWE bias patterns observed by AMSR-E. Specifically, snowfall was underestimated nearly globally and SWE had pronounced regions of over and underestimation. Snowfall and SWE biases were found to differ as a function of surface temperature, snow class, and elevation

The purpose of this report is to document the learning process and findings in the implementation of Agent Communication Language (ACL) for multi-agent systems using FIPA ACL Specifications and to share the knowledge gained from the development of the communication prototype. Agents need to interact with each other in a multi-agent system to solve common problems and to achieve individual or shared goals, which are beyond the capabilities of individual agents and a collaboration between agents is required. In order to effectively collaborate and interact, agents need a common language to share or exchange information, to engage in negotiations and to make coordinations among agents, which leads to the need of Agent Communication Language (ACL). FIPA ACL Specifications has standardized 22 Communicative Acts, and four Interaction Protocols. Communicative acts are different type of messages utilized in various conditions during communication. Interaction Protocols define the flow of communication such as when an agent receives certain message, what options are available for the receiving agent to reply.Bachelor of Engineerin

    No full text
Mass attenuation coefficient, effective atomic cross-section and effective atomic number of CaSO4 and BaSO4 compound samples were determined for the energy 81keV, 356keV, 511keV, 662keV, 1173keV, 1274keV and 1332keV by using gamma ray transmission method. The gamma rays emitted from 22Na, 133Ba, 137Cs and 60Co point sources have been used to be measured gamma rays transmission for the compounds. It is found that the mass attenuation coefficient and atomic cross-section decrease with increasing gamma ray energy. The variations of effective atomic number (Zeff) with photon energy for the compounds were dictated by photon interaction process
