Dokumenttielokuvan etiikasta käsikirjoittaja-ohjaajan näkökulmasta
No full textTämän opinnäytetyön tavoitteena on etsiä eettisiä suuntaviivoja dokumenttielokuvan käsikirjoittaja-ohjaajan työhön. Kvalitatiivinen tutkimus perustuu ammattikirjallisuus- ja internetlähteisiin, käytännössä tehtyyn lyhytdokumenttielokuvaprojektiin sekä sähköpostihaastatteluihin. Opinnäytetyön käytännön osana tehtyä lyhytdokumenttiprojektia peilataan alan teoreettisten lähteiden esittämiin dokumenttielokuvaan liittyviin keskeisiin haasteisiin. Dokumenttielokuvan teoriassa eettiset ongelmat jaotellaan neljään eri luokkaan. Opinnäytetyön dokumenttiprojektia tarkastellaan teoreettisen jaottelun pohjalta pääosin tekijän sisäisiin sekä tekijän ja kohteen välisiin eettisiin haasteisiin keskittyen.
Dokumenttielokuvaohjaajille ei ole yhteistä eettistä ohjeistusta, koska dokumenttielokuva nähdään tekijälähtöisenä ja rajattua todellisuutta sisältävänä taiteena. Suuntaa dokumenttielokuvan etiikalle antavat journalistin eettiset ohjeet ja perustan luo yleinen ihmisiä koskeva etiikka ja totuus. Dokumenttielokuva on oikeiden ihmisten todellista elämää julkisessa taiteessa käyttävä ja tämä tuo omat erityiset eettiset haasteensa. Tietoiset eettiset valinnat vaativat dokumenttielokuvaohjaajalta tietoisuuden vuorovaikutteista jatkuvaa lisäämistä.
Työn lopussa on koottuna dokumenttielokuvan tekijän eettisiä suuntaviivoja. Tärkeimpiä suuntaviivoja etiikalle dokumenttielokuvaa tehdessä, antaa taiteen alisteisuus kaikkia ihmisiä koskevalle etiikalle, sekä pyrkimys pysyä totuudessa, ollen ymmärrettävästi rajattua ja subjektiivista totuutta. Dokumenttielokuva ja sen tekoprosessi pyrkii olemaan vahingoittamatta ketään ja vaikeuttamatta kenenkään elämää. Tasa-arvon lisääntyessä työelämässä on jatkotutkimusaihe dokumenttielokuvan teon eettiset haasteet luovien eri alueiden tekijöiden työryhmään liittyen. Muuttuva maailma ja tekninen kehitys tuo myös uusia arvoristiriitoja tutkittavaksi dokumenttielokuvan etiikkaan.The purpose of this thesis is to find ethical guidelines for the work of the documentary film screenwriter and director. Qualitative research is based on professional literature and internet sources, a short documentary film project, and email interviews. The short documentary project, which is part of the practice of the thesis, is mirrored by the key challenges of documentary film presented by the theoretical sources in the field. In documentary theory, ethical problems are divided into four different categories. Based on the theoretical breakdown, the documentary project of the bachelor's thesis is examined within focusing on the internal ethical challenges of the director and the ethical challenges between the director and the main character.
There is no common ethical guidance for documentary film directors, because the documentary film is seen as author-oriented, limited reality and art. The ethical guidelines of a journalist give direction to documentary ethics and it is based on the common ethics and truth for people. The documentary film uses real peoples real life in public art, and this brings their own specific ethical challenges. Conscious ethical choices require documentary filmmakers to continuously increase awareness of their interactions.
At the end of the thesis, the ethical guidelines of the documentary filmmaker have been assembled. The most important guidelines for ethics when making a documentary film are the submissiveness of art to the ethics of all people, and the attempt to stay in truth, being understandably confined and subjective truth. The documentary and the process of making it are trying not to harm anyone and not to make life difficult for anyone. As equality increases in working life and if the director uses the potential of all the workgroup for the film, the topic of further research on the ethics of documentary film is the ethical challenges of making a documentary film as a working group from different fields of professionals. No full textKuopion kauppatori täyttää vuonna 2018 200 vuotta. Tässä opinnäytetyössä selvitetään mitä kuopiolaiset ja ulko-paikkakuntalaiset, torin asiakkaat haluaisivat torille, kuinka tyytyväisiä he ovat torin palveluihin ja kuntoon. Tutki-muksessa selvitetään myös miten he haluavat juhlia torin 200-vuotissyntymäpäivää.
Opinnäytetyön tavoitteena on auttaa toimeksiantajaa, Kuopion kaupunkikeskustan kehittämisyhdistystä 200-vuotis juhlavuoden suunnittelussa ja lisäämään virikkeitä ja tapahtumia torille asiakkaiden toiveiden mukaisesti. Kuopion kaupunkikeskustan kehittämisyhdistys on voittoa tavoittelematon, yleishyödyllinen yhdistys, joka on hallinnoinut Kuopion kauppatoria keväästä 2017 saakka.
Opinnäytetyö toteutettiin tutkimuksena, jossa käytettiin yhdessä toimeksiantajan kanssa tehtyä kyselyä, joka toteu-tettiin marraskuussa 2017 Surveypal-ohjelmistoa käyttäen. Kysymykset on määritelty vastaamaan toimeksiantajan tarpeita. Tutkimuskysymykset ovat: miten asiakkaat haluavat kehittää toria? Miten he näkevät torin nyt?
Teoriaosuudessa käsitellään mitä tarkoittaa asiakaslähtöinen palvelujen kehittäminen, sekä tapahtumamatkailua. Empiirisessä osiossa käydään läpi kuinka tutkimus toteutettiin ja lopuksi on kerrottu tutkimustulokset. Kyselyssä selvisi, että torin viihtyisyyteen vaikuttaa tapahtumien määrä ja laatu, ostosmahdollisuudet sekä kahvila- ja ravinto-latarjonta, joihin tulisi panostaa jatkossa. Tutkimuksen myötä Kuopion kaupunkikeskustan kehittämisyhdistys on lähtenyt kartoittamaan kolmen asian kehitämismahdollisuuksia, joita ovat viihtyisyys ja istuskelualueiden lisääminen, talvitoiminta ja tapahtumat sekä torikauppiaiden lisääminen.Kuopio market place is turning 200 years old in 2018. This thesis explores what the customers of the market place, both from Kuopio and out-of-town, would like to find there and how satisfied they are with the services and quality of the market place. The research also explores how they would like to celebrate the 200th anniversary.
The aim of the thesis is to help the client organisation, Kuopion kaupunkikeskustan kehittämisyhdistys (Kuopio city centre association) with planning the celebration year and inserting more activities and events to the market place according to customers’ wishes. Kuopion kaupunkikeskustan kehittämisyhdistys is a non-profit, common-good union that has conquered the market place of Kuopio since the spring 2017.
The thesis was executed as a research where we used an inquiry that was made together with the client. The re-search was published in November 2017 by using Surveypal software. The questions are specified to respond to the need of the client. The questions of the research are: how would the customers like to develop the market place? How do they see the market place right now?
The theoretical part consists of the theory of customer-oriented service development and event tourism. The empire part consists of how the research was made and in the end the results are found. The result clarified that the amount and quality of events, shopping possibilities and coffee and restaurant selection affects the comfort and satisfaction of the customers. Those things should be invested in the future.
Along the research Kuopion kaupunkikeskustan kehittämisyhdistys has begun to chart the development possibilities of three issues which are: comfort and adding more sitting areas, winter activities and events, and lastly increase the amount of tradesmen

Healing in the borderlands : a journey with translanguaging, Queering Yerevan and arts-based autoethnography
No full textThis thesis was deeply inspired by border thinking and the work of Gloria Anzaldua. It is a personal journey of finding healing through interactions with three principal sources: the linguistic concept of translanguaging, the work of a queer Armenian collective, and autoethnographic ways of thinking, writing and being.
The author explores notions of fluidity and opacity in regards to identities as well as conceptions of language and communication. She does this through unpacking the complexity of her various identities and connecting this to literature, research and theory that question the false construct of static and monolithic identity. She also explores and questions the space in between language, semiotics and art.
Inspired by the concept of translanguaging and how it relates to the work of the collective Queering Yerevan, who use multilingualism and multimodality to question the heteropatriarchy of the Armenian state, the author uses both linguistics and art to create a zine that questions potentially harmful forms of normativity. Autoethnography is woven throughout, as the author connects personal experience to larger societal implication, narratives and myths

No full textA Double Mistake of Reception – the Inseparability of Poet and Translator in Pertti Nieminen’s Authorial Image
Pertti Nieminen (b. 1929) started as a modernist poet as well as a translator of Chinese poetry in the 1950’s, at the height of Modernism in Finnish poetry. In literary history, Nieminen has been viewed primarily as a translator, even if he has published 15 poem collections of his own (1956–2003).
In this article, I present some points of departure for the reassessment of Nieminen’s authorial image by discussing the reception of his poetry. My hypothesis is that the recipients have recognized mainly a “Chinese Nieminen”. In addition, for the reviewers, the poet has become inseparable from both the translator and the poetic self.
According to the principles of “modernist reading”, the text is understood to be autonomous, independent of its author. In spite of this, the personality of the author, the sinologist, has influenced the interpretations of Nieminen’s poetry, as recipients have tried to find some Chinese features in his poems. This attempt has led to problematic readings and to seeing Nieminen as “The Sage of the East”.
By comparing the recipients’ readings both to the poems themselves and to Nieminen’s readings of his own poems, I demonstrate how these interpretations are either consistent (successful reading) or inconsistent (mistake in reception) with each other. The inconsistent readings often imply a narrowing down of the scope of interpretation. My analyses reveal e.g. how Nieminen’s connections to the Anglo-American Imagists have been forgotten, while most features of his poems have been mistakenly seen as “Chinese”. At the same time, the recipients’ views of exotic China and the Chinese language are over-simplified, even erroneous

No full textOpinnäytetyön tavoitteena on luoda muotoilijan oikeaa työelämää vastaava asiakasprojekti, jossa opinnäytetyön tekijä toimii sisustussuunnittelijana ja toimeksiantaja asiakkaana.
Asiakas on yritys nimeltä Rogue Fitness Europe Oy, joka maahantuo ja vie painonnostoon ja kuntoiluun liittyviä välineitä ja tarvikkeita. Tehtävänä oli suunnitella yrityksen uusi toimisto Poriin. Vanhat toimitilat sijaitsevat rakennuksessa, johon nyt rakennetaan lisäosa uusia tiloja varten. Uuden osan pinta- ala on 155 m2 johon kuuluu avotoimisto, erillinen toimistohuone, neuvottelutila ja keittiö, henkilökunnan pukuhuone sekä wc. Sisustussuunnittelun kohteena ovat nämä tilat.
Sisustussuunnitelmaan sisältyy värimaailman suunnittelu, pintamateriaalien valinta, kalustejärjestys, kiinto- ja irtokalusteiden valinta, keittiösuunnitelma, valaistussuunnitelma, 3D - mallinnus ja visualisointi sekä mittapiirrokset. Opinnäytetyössä kerrotaan tarkemmin yllämainituista aihealueista, asiakastapaamisista sekä tehdyistä sisustusvalinnoista tässä kohteessa. Lopussa on valokuvia valmistuvasta kohteesta sekä opinnäytetyöntekijän oma arviointi projektin etenemisestä ja opituista asioista.The aim of the thesis is to create a customer project which reflects the designer’s work.The author of the thesis works as an interior designer and the partner as a client.
The client is a company called Rogue Fitness Europe Oy which imports and exports weight lifting and fitness related equipment and supplies. The task was to design the company’s new office in Pori. The surface area of the office is 155 m2 which includes an open office, a separate office room, a conference room, a kitchen, a staff dressing room and a toilet. These spaces are the object of the interior design.
The interior design consists of the colour scheme design, the selection of surface materials, the furniture order, the fixture and moveable furniture design, the kitchen plan, the lightning plan, the 3D-modeling and visualization, as well as the dimension drawings. Client meetings and the interior design choises made for this project are also discussed. Finally there are photographs of the office and the author´s own evaluation of the process and the learning experience

Tämä loppuraportti kokoaa toimintaohjelman 15 toimenpidekokonaisuuden toteutumisen vastuuhenkilöiden itsearviointina. Kuilun kaventajat kuvaa toimenpiteiden vastuuhenkilöiden kuvaamana kokemuksia ohjelman onnistumisesta, sen vaikutuksesta eriarvoisuuden kaventumiseen sekä käsityksiä jatkotoimenpiteiden tarpeesta. Itsearviointia täydennettiin ministeriöiden, aluetason ja kuntien näkemyksillä hyvinvointi- ja terveyserojen nykytilasta ja mahdollisuuksista kaventaa eroja. Raportti on tarkoitettu kaikille yhteiskunnallisen eriarvoisuuden seurauksista ja niiden ehkäisystä kiinnostuneille. No full textOpinnäytetyön tavoitteena on hankkia tietoa nuorisosirkusten puvustuksellisista tarpeista siten, että saatua tietoa voidaan myöhemmin hyödyntää sirkusaiheisen kaavaopaskirjan tekemisessä. Kaavaoppaan toteuttamiseksi pitää selvittää keskivertonuorisosirkuksen harjoituttamat lajit, harrastajien ikä- ja sukupuolijakauma sekä esitysten määrä ja kokoluokka.
Tietoa etsittiin nuorisosirkusten ja nuorisosirkusliiton internetsivuilta sekä haastatteluiden kautta, sillä kirjoitettua tietoa sirkuksen puvustamisesta ei ole. Havainnointi oli yksi tärkeä tiedonhankinnan keino. Tekijän oman työkokemuksen yhdistäminen aiheeseen muodostui tärkeäksi osaksi tiedon hankintaa. Opaskirjaa varten tutkittiin myös vaatetusalan opaskirjallisuutta.
Opinnäytetyössä aloitetaan lähtökohdista, joista siirrytään haastatteluiden ja havainnoinnin kautta oppaan taustoitukseen. Viimeisenä opinnäytetyössä esiintyy case, jossa tekijä tuotekehitti sirkuksen lajiin Chinese Poleen housut sekä yläosan bodyn. Case liittyy oppaaseen kiinteästi, sillä se on yksi opaskirjaan valikoiduista lajeista toimien tässä opinnäytetyössä esimerkin omaisesti.
Työn lopputuloksena syntyi kartoitus tulevaa opaskirjaa varten sekä kaavat Chinese Pole- lajin harrastajalle, tytölle että pojalle.The goal of the thesis was to collect information for a pattern guidebook for youth circuses. For the proper pattern book, it was needed to find out what are the average circus acts that can be trained in circuses, devotees’ age and gender distribution as well as how many times a year performances take place and what is the volume of them.
Information was mainly collected by interviewing and from websites, because there are no written knowledge about how to dress circus artists. The author’s previous knowledge about a youth circus and observation was also in a big role in getting information for the thesis. For the pattern book, the author also studied other clothing industry literature.
The thesis begins with the basis and proceeds to interviews and observations. In addition, the thesis contains the case Chinese Pole in which the author developed pants and a bodysuit to the circus act. The case connects to the thesis closely because it works as an example of patterns that will be included in the upcoming pattern book.
The result of the thesis was the background survey for the pattern book and actual patterns for the Chinese Pole act for both a girl and a boy
