Zimmermann's Critique of Skepticism
The author expounds Zimmermann's critique of absolute and methodical skepticism, particularly focusing on the method that Zimmermann advocates criticizing absolute skepticism, and on the neo-Scholastic context of Zimmermann's critique, that is, on Zimmermann's acceptance of Tongiorgio's and Palmieri's doctrines on the three primary truths
On some peripheral types of accusative direct object in Croatian: A cognitive analysis
Autor, primjenjujući metode kognitivne gramatike, raspravlja o trima rubnim tipovima izravnoga
Applying methods of cognitive grammar, the author discusses three peripheral
types of accusative direct object in Croatian. The peripheral status of the first
two types follows from the morphosyntactic peculiarity as manifested in the
impossibility of passivizing the active clauses they are part of. The third type
appears in one type of impersonal sentences
Sadržajni odmak i metodološka vjernost. Pavlov model čuvanja predaje prema Drugoj Timoteju
The study enlightens the keeping of Paul’s teachings in Pastoral Letters, analyzing the discourse about Paul’s gospel in 2 Tim 1,8-11 (1.) and Paul’s deposit in 2 Tim 1,12-14 (2.). The first part of the study finds that Paul’s gospel in Pastoral Letters speaks of three stages and three protagonists of the salvation history: God’s plan prior to time, Christ’s historical event, and the gospel proclamation, which was founded by Christ’s apparition to Paul. The analysis reveals that this gospel is characterized by monotheism and Paulinism: God acts in all three periods of the salvation history, Christ only in the second period, and Paul is a participant of Christ’s event and has an apostolic priority at the time of the gospel proclamation. The second part of the study shows that Paul’s deposit refers to a Pauline tradition which developed after Paul’s death and is represented in Pastoral Letters. The author gives to that tradition the status of norm, calling it with the technical term from the deposit law and showing that is represents a legitimate development of Paul’s oral tradition. In the conclusion of the study, it is shown that the discourse about Paul’s gospel and deposit in Pastoral Letters serves to defend the author’s acceptance of later traditions and divergence from Paul’s teachings. In the face of the dilemma „Paul’s norm or novelty“, the author of Pastoral Letters has chosen a compromise „substantive shift and methodological fidelity to Paul”, and he proposed that model as Paul’s model to church leaders.Studija osvjetljuje čuvanje Pavlove nauke u Pastoralnim poslanicama, analizirajući govor o Pavlovu evanđelju u 2 Tim 1,8-11 (1.) i Pavlovu pologu u 2 Tim 1,12-14 (2.).

The author points to the importance of accurate recording and description of the meaning of each word. The rich linguistic heritage of the area under study is illustrated with several examples of vinicultural and enological terms
MODEL OF THE PROFESSIONALIZATION OF ARMED FORCES
Autor izlaže modele profesionalizacije oružanih snaga u suvremenom svijetu. Rad se temelji na trima osnovnim temama: 1. sličnostima i razlikama između obrazaca i profesionalizacije, odnosno mogućoj pojavi jedinstvenoga širokog Europskog modela i njegovoj mogućoj sličnosti s postojećim zapadnim modelima, 2. na koji način različiti faktori oblikuju obrasce profesionalizacije u srednjoj i istočnoj Europi i uspostavljanje njihove relativne važnosti i uloge, 3. utjecaju zapadnih politika na profesionalizaciju oružanih snaga. The author describes the models of the professionalization of armed forces in today’s world. The paper highlights three basic topics: 1. similarities and dissimilarities among the patterns of professionalization i.e. a possible emergence of a uniform, broad European model and its potential similarity with the existing Western models, 2. the ways in which various factors shape the patterns of professionalization in Central and Eastern Europe and the determination of their relative importance and role, 3. the influence of Western politics on the professionalization of armed forces
Što je normalna demokracija?
The author argues there is no such thing as a "normal democracy", and that the decision made by the European Court of Human Rights in Sejdić-Finci case does not pay enough respect to consociational democracy as one of the legitimate forms of democracy. As human rights have to be balanced against one another, they also have to be balanced against other values, including peace and stability. As the practical solution in the election of the three-person collective Presidency in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the author suggests three separate electoral colleges in the three territorial districts that would settle the tension between the politically viable power-sharing arrangements and the demand to respect human rights. The author concludes that more moral modesty is in place when foreign political advice in democratic constitutional design is issued for the divided societies.
Nationalism on Trial: the role of historical narratives in trials before International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia
Prvi od njih je mjesto ideologije nacionalizma, drugi je mjesto politike sjećanja s osobitim osvrtom na Drugi svjetski rat, a treći su sukobljene vizije raspada SFRJ.The author of the article approaches the treatment of history before the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia using expert reports and trial transcripts. Drawing upon the methodological framework of the political trial context as a performative act and history as a narrative constructed by institutional and non-institutional actors, based on Hayden White's theory of the metanarrative of history, the author analyzes the presence of narratives regarding three historical phenomena that played a key role in the wars in Yugoslavia. The first of these is the place of the ideology of nationalism, the second is the place of memory politics with a particular focus on World War II, and the third are the conflicting visions of the dissolution of the SFRY
POLITICS OF PLURALISM AND THE MYTH OF THE COMMON GOOD
The author deals with the issue of the just conflict resolution. The first part of the article is devoted to the analysis of the importance of resolving social and political conflicts in every community. It also tackles the two views – monistic and pluralistic – of the very nature of conflict. The second part looks into the three levels of conflict – the conflict concerning the way of life and the concept of the good, the conflict regarding the manner in which we want to accomplish universally accepted goals and, finally, the conflict surrounding the fundamental principals of justice. In the last part the author analyses the methods we can adopt in conflict resolution and discusses which of those approaches is most righteous from the point of view of pluralism
Using free services for creating online forms for improving school activities
The paper analyses LimeSurvey, Google Forms, and KwikSurveys web services which allow unlimited free creation of many different online forms.
