Communicating sustainability through social media in the Italian universities context
The research purpose is to analyze how social media can be adopted to communicate sustainability by universities. More precisely it is to investigate whether the online platforms are used to support and in what way the main communication functions with reference to sustainability. The methodology adopted is qualitative, a content analysis regarding the sustainability messages posted by universities from the sample of six Italian universities selected for research from the list of Italian University Network for Sustainable Development. The study confirms the three main functions of universities social media with regard to the sustainability communication. They consist mainly in information, action, and community creation. In particular, the results show that universities mostly use
the social platform to for the action and communication function. Whilst, more rarely, universities use the social platform to feed and activate stakeholders, through dialogue, in community building, trying to create strong links between individuals and groups specific sustainability issues of common interest. The limits of the research, refer to characteristic of the sample of the selected universities essentially, and to the implicit subjectivity of method adopted. It highlights the need for universities to develop a more specific relational orientation, consistent with the
characteristics of social media, capable of promoting inclusive processes of the various stakeholders aimed to create active involvement in the sustainability strategies and practices of the university. The study provides important insights into the sustainability communication carried out by universities. The study offers an original interpretation of social communication for sustainability in the university sustainability sector

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Objectives. The aim of the study, ones it has been emphasized the growing importance of the patient's active role,
is to analyze the activities that involve, or may involve, the patient in the co-creation of value in health care.
Methodology. After outlining the theoretical framework for the engagement of the patient in the value cocreation,
the method adopted for the development of research is based on a literature review on the evolution of value cocreation
activities within the patient's system health service.
Findings. The research shows the increasing complexity of the analysis model of value cocreation activities
through the engagement of the patient, consistent with the trend of the ecosystem of the patient's health care system.
Research limits. Given the recent interest of literature in the subject of value co-creation in health care and the
limited number of studies on the co-creation activities related value, however, in specific health care settings, it would
be appropriate to the development of further studies and that they allow the model generalization analysis.
Practical implications. Helping managers and practitioners to identify health practices and strategies capable of
enhancing patient engagement in the value co-creation improving performance, within the context of health service
systems.
Originality of the study. The work provides the first framework, open to further developments, for the analysis of
the co-creation of value in health care through the engagement of the patient in optical ecosystem
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Finally, we show by means of an example that our findings have a high practical relevance.information science;Pearson correlation;cosine;similarity measure;author cocitation analysis
The impact of digital supply chain on operational a case study on cruise sector
In the last decade, the cruise sector operates in a dynamic and highly competitive environment requiring more flexible and resilient organizations. With the Fourth Industrial Revolution, many companies in the cruise sector recognize the importance of innovative digital technologies for their business. Digital Supply Chain describes an organizational change process leading to the application and implementation of digital technology in order to achieve effective and efficient flows of products, services and information, to provide maximum value to the customer. This study explores the potential of cloud-based B2B integration brokerage solution in order to improve efficiency and collaboration in extended enterprise processes, by enabling a multiformat and multi-protocol data exchange management. The paper uses primary data obtained through in-depth semi-structured interview with an executive staff from a cruise company operating in the Mediterranean region. Research findings unveil the strategy of a cruise company’s supply chain and the operational performance with the use of digital technologies
Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more
sophisticated methods
