First person – Akash Gupta
First Person is a series of interviews with the first authors of a selection of papers published in Biology Open, helping early-career researchers promote themselves alongside their papers. Akash Gupta is first author on ‘A novel and cost-effective ex vivo orthotopic model for the study of human breast cancer in mouse mammary gland organ culture’, published in BiO. Akash conducted the research described in this article while a PhD Scholar in Rajendra Mehta's lab at IIT Research Institute, Chicago, USA. He is now an assistant research scientist in the lab of Syreeta L. Tilghman at the University of Arizona, Department of Medicine, Tucson, USA, investigating drug efficacy modeling using human organoids culture for the treatment of cancers

Laryngographic files relating to Mehri and Shehret consonants, Modern South Arabian
A set of Laryngographic files for the consonants in different phonological environments in the Modern South Arabian languages, Mehri and Shehret (also known as Jibbali). They were recorded between 2011 and 2022 by Janet Watson, in collaboration with Abdullah al-Mahri, Abd al-Aziz al-Mahri, Ibrahim al-Mahri, Amer al-Kathiri, Said Baquir, Saeed al-Mahri, Ali al-Mahri, Musallam Ali al-Mahri and Nasser al-Afari. The files are given in one of two forms: DATE_LANGUAGE_CODENAME_TOPIC NAME_CODENAME_DATE_TOPIC Where the language is not provided in the codename, it can be identified from the codename. M001 is the first Mehri speaker. J028 is the 28th Shehret/Jibbali speaker. For the bilingual speakers, J001 and M026, Mehri is stated for J001 in the case of Mehri files. All his other files are Shehret. For M026, Mehri or Shehret appears in the file name to distinguish the language. TOPIC is given as syllable structure of words recorded, e.g. CiiCvvC; the set of consonants examined, as in: finalaspiratedsonorants or geminates; a consonant within a specific word, as in: aghaas 'her brother'; or a consonant that is being investigated in different contexts, e.g. g, s. When given individually and not in words, the emphatic consonants are written in capitals followed by '1', as in T1 for the emphatic 'T', or by '-', as in 'S-' for the emphatic 'S'. The lateral sibilants are given with following 'l', as in 'sl' for the plain voiceless lateral sibilant, or 'zl' for the plain voiced lateral sibilant Some of the prompt lists are provided in the set in word files. The files can be examined laryngographically through Laryngograph's Speech Studio software: https://www.laryngograph.com/pr_studio.htm. Multi-radio interference diagnosis in unlicensed bands using passive monitoring
The increasing density and data rate of unlicensed band wireless devices has led to significant inter- and intra-radio interference problems. Multiple competing standards such as the IEEE 802.11b/g, Bluetooth and ZigBee, all of which operate in the 2.4 GHz ISM band, can interfere with each other when used in typical indoor environments, potentially causing significant performance degradation. This thesis aims to characterize different types of heterogeneous interference in the 2.4 GHz unlicensed band and develop techniques to diagnose interference related problems using passive monitoring. The first
part of the thesis presents detailed experimental results (using the ORBIT radio grid testbed) to quantify the effects of such interference in representative small office and home (SOHO) environment. In particular, different topologies, traffic loads and number
of interfering devices are emulated to show the impact of multi-radio interference and to characterize each kind of interference. The second part of the thesis describes
a cross-layer, multi-radio interference diagnosis framework (called “spectrum MRI”) which aims to classify and diagnose multi-radio interference problems using heuristic and model-based methods. Validation experiments show that broad auto-classification of multi-radio interference in terms of congestion, slow links, inter AP interference and
Bluetooth interference is possible using heuristic algorithms and passive monitoring.M.S.Includes bibliographical referencesby Akash Bai

This research treating a study and investigation of the book titled "Ash-Shuo'a" THE UNDIVIDED by Imam Omar Bin Abdulaziz Al-Boukhary in the Hanafi school. It contains an Introduction and two chapters, the introduction displays the reasons for choosing the research title, it's important, the previous studies, its objectives, its methodology and the abstract. The first chapter: the theoretical contains two themes. The first identify the author, the second identify the investigated book. The second chapter: the investigation which includes the methodology followed in the investigation of manuscript, the photos and the investigation of the book. Finally, I have showed the most important results and recommendations. Also, I mentioned the index of resources and references used in study and investigation
Musical Instruments in Al-Jahiz
In his writings, the Arab author Al-Jahiz addressed issues related to music, Tarab (a genre of music), and singing. Al-Jahiz was known for his knowledge and literature, and he wrote numerous works that shed light on the luxurious aspects of society. He authored a book titled "Ethics of Singers" and another titled "Singers, Singing, and the Craft." In these books, Al-Jahiz defended singing as an artistic form and believed that it possessed scientific principles and foundations similar to other arts and literature. He promoted singing as a pleasurable art form. Despite his affiliation with the Mu\u27tazila school of thought, Al-Jahiz was a supporter of singing and singers, and he wrote about their ethics and arts. In his treatise "Al-Qiyan," Al-Jahiz discussed the influence of courtesans and their households on Islamic society, pointing to the immorality, passion, and vice that may result from this influence. Overall, Al-Jahiz\u27s writings have had a significant impact on our understanding of music, Tarab, and singing in ancient times
