No full textWith reference to the Prin project ‘Cultural heritage and educating communities. Training competences and professionalism for a new urban welfare’, the authors propose a heuristic approach to urban regeneration as a set of educational, participatory and co-design processes that redesign educational and pedagogical professions in the community, in relation to support vulnerable groups, for promoting cultural heritage and art, and collaborate with neighbourhood volunteer organisations. Characterizing dimension of the survey is its adoption of a pluralistic methodological approach: participatory observation, semi-structured interviews, qualitative and quantitative questionnaires, and narrative maps to capture the complexity of the urban contexts and associative practices involved, as well as the educational and social dynamics. The results highlight how social pedagogy, supported by rigorous and participatory research tools, can help transform urban fragility into opportunities for collective learning, outlining new professional skills and models of inclusive urban welfare

No full textIl contributo richiama il workshop sul tema "Vecchie e nuove povertà" organizzato in Università Cattolica durante l'Anno della Misericordia. Il workshop ha voluto essere un riflessione per avviare un confronto tra gli operatori e gli studenti che si apprestano ad esercitare le professioni socio-educative a sostegno dei tanti "volti umani" della povertà. Più che un dibattito sul tema della "povertà", il workshop ha posto l'attenzione sulle pratiche e le iniziative di aiuto nei confronti delle persone che vivono le "nuove povertà", come i padri separati, al fine di superare l'approccio alla povertà come categoria sociologica e come accostamento al soggetto povero in quanto soggetto/oggetto di interpretazioni distaccate, per guardare invece alle interazioni e alle pratiche educative di aiuto.The contribution recalls the workshop "Old and New Poverty" organized in Catholic University during the Year of Mercy. The workshop has been a space of reflection between educational practitioners and students who are preparing to practice socio-educational professions in support of the many "human faces" of poverty. More than a debate on the "poverty", the workshop paid attention to practical actions and initiatives to help people who live "new poverty", such as the separate fathers, in order to overcome the approach to poverty as a sociological category and the attention to the the poor subject as an object of detached interpretations, for considering instead the interactions and educational practices of help

In questa direzione è necessario tracciare sia le coordinate interpretative per la comprensione dell'essere straniero, sia percorsi riflessivi per educare a dare uno sguardo approfondito alle esperienze dei migranti.The reception practices of migrants show how little we know about their inner experiences. This aspect is extremely crucial for pedagogical reflection and for the activation of practices to approach the other.
