Oral History Interview with Ross Murphy, April 8, 2005
The National Museum of the Pacific War presents an oral interview with Ross Murphy. Murphy lied about his age and joined the Navy in July, 1944. From basic training, Murphy went to Florida for amphibious training learning how to be a coxswain on an LCVP. He was then assigned to USS Daniel T. Griffin (APD-38) in December 1944. At Okinawa, Murphy used his LCVP to sweep for mines in close to the shore. He was discharged in June, 1946

Oral History Interview with James T. Murphy, October 1, 2000
The National Museum of the Pacific War presents an oral interview with James T. Murphy. Murphy grew up in Montana and joined the Army Air Corps in May 1941. Once he finished training, he was assigned to the 43rd Bomb Group, 63rd Bomb Squadron. He then went to reconnaissance for the Battle of Midway. He then rejoined the Pacific Theater and pacticipated in skip bombing and flying B17s. He tells the story of receiving his Silver Star from General Douglas MacArthur. He mentions returning to the Air Force in 1949 and remaining in service for 20 years, until he left to join NASA as a civilian. He also mentions writing a book on Skip Bombing in the 1990s

Berry's MS. autobiography, "Chance and Circumstance", with photocopies of letters from Berry to D. Murray Morton, 13 January and 28 October 1954, mentioning the MS and his inability to have it published. A copy was sent to Morton, who passed it to Dr. John Horan, who in turn lent it to Murphy. It covers Berry's life from school days, 1877-1883, to his service as Director of Medical Research in Bristol, and including his period as first Professor of Anatomy at the University of Melbourne, 1906-1929. The last date mentioned is April 1951.111202
