Singgalang cabbage (Brassicaceae) is a famous local vegetable from Sumatera Barat. It is well known for Minangkabau culinary with high market demand. To cope with production problems, hydroponic can be used with organic farming concept using liquid biofertilizer. Maggot frass is one of the potential sources for liquid biofertilizer. Standardization of its nutrition content by applying of single food source is an important step to be done. In this research, kirinyuh (Chromolaena odorata) was used as diet to produce liquid biofertilizer from fermented maggot frass (LBFKMF). The greenhouse research was conducted under hydroponic wick system with AB Mix as main inorganic fertilizer. A completely randomized design was used with six treatments and eight replications. The treatments were substitution of AB Mix with LBFKMF in the dosage range of 0 to 100%. The nutrition content of LBFKMF was suitable with the minimum standard of liquid biofertilizer by Indonesia Ministry of Agriculture. The results showed that substitution of AB Mix with 25% LBFKMF has no significant effect to the use of full AB Mix for plant growth i.e., increment of plant height, diameter, and number of leaves. Furthermore, it was also showed no significant effect in plant fresh and dry weight, final leaf area, and chlorophyll a content. On the contrary, nitrogen deficiency symptoms which was predicted from ammonia were observed in the media containing 75-100% LBFKMF. Additionally, the substitution of AB Mix up to 50% LBFKMF was still able to support the growth of singgalang cabbage under hydroponic system
