Mak Wan Enterprise, Tumpat, Kelantan, is the business I selected for this case study. Wan Hasmah Binti Wan Semail founded Mak Wan Enterprise in 2001, and she was aided in managing the factory by her son, Mohd Ghazali Bin Che Cob. Following the death of Wan Hasmah Binti Wan Semail, the management of Mak Wan Enterprise has been taken over by his son Mat Zuki Bin Che Cob. Based on my interview with Mr. Mat Zuki, I discovered that there are issues with the technologies received by Mak Wan Enterprise. Problems faced when using current technologies include the fact that they are often unable to meet consumer requests due to a shortage of products. This is related to the reasons that existing systems are unable to produce many products. Mr Mat Zuki said that they would update the store because there was a large demand for the product. So, to solve the issue, I have some ideas for Mr. Mat Zuki. I hoped that the suggestions submitted would aid in increasing the quality and distribution of his company's products

The objective of this study is to validate the method of detection for lambda cyhalothrin in samples of crude palm and palm kernel oil, soil, leaves and water using gas chromatography-microelectron capture detector (GC-μECD). Based on the establish method, a monitoring study was done in the tropical climate condition of Malaysia to evaluate the dissipation pattern and persistence of lambda cyhalothrin in the oil palm agroecosystem. Our results indicated that the mean recoveries of lambda cyhalothrin were found to be 87-90%, 96-109%, 81-105% and 83-90%, respectively, for crude palm and palm kernel oil, leaves, soil and water sample at three levels of concentrations. The limit of quantification of the method was 0.02 mg/kg, while the limit of detection was 0.002 mg/kg. The monitoring study was conducted at Amcorp Plantation in Sepang, Selangor with three experimental plots of control, recommended dosage and double recommended dosage. The spraying application was conducted in triplicate for each plot involved. Lambda cyhalothrin (ALERT 2.8EC) was sprayed on leaves and at recommended (31.5 g a.i./ha) and double recommended (63 g a.i./ha) manufacturer’s dosage. Samples of oil palm fruits, leaves, soils and water were collected on day 0 (6 hours after spraying), 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20 and 29 days after treatment. Initial depositions of lambda cyhalothrin on foliar surfaces were 0.47 and 0.83 mg/kg, at recommended and double recommended dosages respectively. Lambda cyhalothrin residues were not detected after 14 and 18 days of the recommended and double recommended dosages, respectively. No residue was detected in the harvested oil palm fruits, water and soil samples. The half-life (t1/2) value of lambda cyhalothrin was observed to be 3.96 and 4.88 days for recommended and double recommended dosages respectively on leaves of palm oil

Recycling is not a new thing for Malaysian. In fact we had been exposed to the government advertisement campaigns twice, in 1993 and 2000. Reduce, recycle and reuse is a common word used in promoting recycle activities by the environmentalists, but unfortunately it seems like the nationwide campaign failed to give a meaningful change for the nature. Most of Malaysian do not have the awareness or even took a minimal effort to take a better care for the environment. Thus, we would like to propose for regulating a new effective law that makes it mandatory for Malaysian to recycle. Solid Waste and Public Cleansing Management Act 2007 (Malaysia) has been amended to provide a better solid waste management. In West Malaysia only, the law had finally been enforced on September 2011. Section 101 of the Act provides the Minister may, by order published in the Gazette, to requires any person, to use specified amount of recycled materials, to implement a coding and labelling systems for any product or material to promote recycling, and to use of any method or manner for the purpose of reduction, reuse and recycling of the controlled solid waste. Whereas section 102 of the same Act provided that the Minister may, by order published in the Gazette to establish a "take back system" in which require that any specified products or goods that after used shall be taken back by the manufacturer, assembler, importer or dealer and that they must be obliged on their own account and cost to recycle or dispose any products or goods taken back in a specified manner.1 This is a good first step taken by the government in amending a recycling law in Malaysia. However, more is needed to gevern recycling as there are other aspects of recycling that are not governed under this Act. For example, there should be a mandatory requirement to all person in Malaysia to recycle

Penang's Island region location near the equator provides excellent sun irradiation, making it an appealing location for solar energy installations. This project aims to identify the criteria for solar farm site selection in Penang Island region. The methodology consists of several key steps: data collection and preparation, data reclassification, supervise classification, Euclidean distance, kriging and weight overlay to reflect the relative importance of each criteria, and generation of a composite suitability map using the Weighted Overlay tool. The weighted overlay process will help to choose a suitable place to be a solar farm site in Penang Island region
