Performance of egzro2-egfe2o3/hy as photocatalyst and its efficacy in decolorization of dye-contaminants
The performance of electrogenerated metals supported on HY zeolite (EGZrO2-EGFe2O3/HY) was studied under sunlight irradiation for the decolorization of methylene blue (MB) and Congo red (CR) in aqueous solutions. The prepared photocatalysts were examined using X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and Brunnauer-Emmett-Teller surface area analysis (BET). An amount of 0.375 g L?1 EGZrO2-EGFe2O3/HY was found to be the optimum dosage for 10 mg L?1 dyes, which gave almost complete photodecolorization of both MB and CR dye after 2 hours of contact time at pH 9 and pH 7, respectively. In addition, a control experiment was also conducted under similar conditions to confirm the efficacy of the prepared photocatalyst. The simple preparation of the photocatalyst and low amount of metal loading required, with simultaneously existence of synergistic effect from both metal oxides exhibits the great potential of the system that could be applied in textile or other industries wastewater treatment
Reusability study of zirconia catalyst toward photocatalytic degradation of remazol brilliant blue dye
The regeneration and reusability study of EGZrO2 catalyst toward remazol brilliant blue (RBB) dye was carried out at specific optimum conditions. The overall degradation rate trends after seventh cycles shows that the photocatalytic process is stable from the first run at 99.8 and final seventh cycle at 83, with only just small decreases rate about less than 17. It is suggested that heat treatment during calcination at every cycle induced the catalyst aggregation and may also attribute during scouring of catalyst surface. No metal ions dissolution is detected by atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS) analysis showing that the catalyst is more stable and also excellence photoresponse in visible light regions
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Performance of nickel catalyst toward photocatalytic degradation of methyl orange
In this study, the EGNiO1000 that generated using new green electrolyte Nephelium lappaceum extract via electrochemical system shows excellent photoactivity toward MO degradation up to 96.8 under visible light irradiation compared to EGNiO0, EGNiO50, commercial NiO, and commercial TiO2 catalyst. The presence of bioactive compound such as polyphenols, alkaloids, flavanoids and vitamins. The active component that presence in Nephelium lappaceum such as polyphenols, alkaloids, flavanoids and vitamins, are highly responsible for improving the structural, morphological and optical properties of EGNiO1000, thus lead to the enhancement on the photodegradation activity. Green approach with simple electrochemical system display a great potential to generate of other novel metal catalyst with excellent photoreaction
