    No full text
Supply chain integration (SCI) has been widely discussed area in supply chain literature. Based on extended resource based view (RBV), and resource orchestration theory (ROT), our study was conducted to analyze the effects of SCI ( i.e. information integration, process integration and measurement integration) on firm’s performance (i.e. operational, business) in service industries in Pakistan. In addition, we investigate the contingency effect of IT use (i.e. Transaction management, order delivery and customer services, planning & control) on the relationship of integrative Supply chain practices and firm’s performance. We follow step wise hierarchical regression approach by pair wise comparison of performance effect of IT use and each dimension of SCI. Survey data were collected from a sample of firms in food, hospitality, fashion, telecom, IT and retail industries in Pakistan. The empirical results indicate that IT use strengthen the effects of SCI on firm’s performance by significantly moderating the aforementioned relationship. The results demonstrate best model fitted with pair wise interaction between IT use and SCI mechanisms. The study contributes to supply chain literature by analyzing pivotal role of IT use in integrating various supply chain activities in B2 B and B2 C markets. The research has implications for retail managers, service supply chain planners and distribution companies to use IT in integrating supply chain and materializing performance

Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) play a vital role in the development of an economy. Looking at this perspective, it is imperative to develop the entrepreneurial orientation and to update the entrepreneurial competencies in order to perform in this competitive environment. This research study focuses specifically on these aspects and attempts to establish the need of identifying entrepreneurial orientation and entrepreneurial competencies in entrepreneurs in order to enhance enterprise performance. Researchers have collected the data from SMEs in Pakistan using simple random sampling technique. Partial least square based structural equation modeling is used in order to analyze the data and to test the hypotheses. Analysis revealed positive relationships between entrepreneurial orientation and entrepreneurial competencies, entrepreneurial competencies and entrepreneurial performance, entrepreneurial orientation and entrepreneurial performance. Moreover, entrepreneurial competency has proved to be a mediator between entrepreneurial orientation and entrepreneurial performance. Resource based view explains the importance of entrepreneurs as competent resources in playing vital role in escalating the performance level of SMEs. Lastly, this study can be used by different stakeholders to emphasize more on developing the competency level of entrepreneurs and determining the level of orientation towards better performance of enterprises.

The study is focused on finding the relationship between different dimensions of ethical climate and organizational commitment of the employees working in NGOs operating in Pakistan. To test the hypotheses of the study, the primary data of 317 respondents was collected through an adopted questionnaire for which representatives of the researchers personally visited the employees working in different NGOs. SPSS was used for data analyses and hypotheses were tested through stepwise multiple hierarchical regression analysis. Based on data analysis, study found that principle and benevolent ethical climates have a significant and positive relationship with organizational commitment while egoistic ethical climate indicated an insignificant relationship with organizational commitment. Thus, by establishing principle and benevolent type of ethical climate, it emerged organizational commitment of employees working in NGOs can be enhanced. The study has some limitations including the cross-sectional design and geographical coverage. The cross – sectional design limited the results to a specific time, while data was collected from Lahore and Islamabad only as a result of geographical limitation compromising the generalizability of the results

Children became delinquent when they commit any prohibited action, they are considered juveniles because of the age factor. The most important purpose of the study was to investigate juvenile delinquency and parental supervision. The second goal of the study was to explore the relationship between socioeconomic uncertainty and juvenile delinquency. The last target of this research was to examine the psychological impact on juveniles. The qualitative approach was adopted to precede this research. Convenience sampling was used and data was collected through an interview guide. For the interview guide, some close-ended and some open-ended questions were formulated. Every jailed person was not targeted but only those children were included who were under the age of 18 years. The case study was used in this qualitative research and the total sample size was 20 respondents’ juveniles from Muzaffarghar and Layyah jails. The most important and relevant results in this research were lack of parental supervision, socialization, psychological impacts, educational background, societal framework and peer groups which was considered the most important factor because children learn different kind of acts from their age fellows.  Economic condition was also a major factor for juveniles to commit delinquent behavior. Poverty was the leading factor that was also investigated in this research.  The research identified that family institution was a significant structure to control delinquent behavior and play a key role in the socialization of the children because the parent can guide their children and socialize their children to respect the rights of others. The cause of delinquent behavior was parental absence at home due to different reasons and the most common reason was earning bread. This lack of involvement by parents increases the risk factor of delinquency.Key words: Parental Supervision, Juvenile Delinquency, Socialization, Psychological Impact, socio-economic instability, Poor Educational Background, Lack of          Financial resources and societal framework
