Case Study : Adib Bege / Muhammad Syahril Nizam Rahimi
The overview of this case study is that we are able to see the situation where we see the existence problem that needs to be solved.
The stall that I took for my case study is Adib Bege. He sell burger that he develop through his experience. His shop is located at Jalan Masjid Kampung Kota and has 3 years of experiences and will keep going on.
While studying for this stall, I had identified a few problems in the business process. The stall faces with major problems such as marketing activities, operation activities, administration activities and financial activities.
Problem in marketing activities that the shop does not have any marketing strategy. Next is the operation activities. The problem of stall is lack of staff. The stall has one worker which is Adib the owner of the Adib Bege. His service is slow due to only himself making the burger. For administration activities, the shop does not keep any record of the business. Thus, with not having staffs, he should recruit another workers. Last but not least, in financial activities, the problem that he face is he does not maintain the flow of the cash. He has to make sure that his profit is more than the expenses.
I analysed this problem using SWOT as my tools to solve the problems and suggest the solution to my mentor
Kata Kunci:Kemampuan Berpikir Tingkat Tinggi; Suhu dan Kalor; Kemandirian Belajar Analysis of Student’s Higher Order Thinking Ability in Solving Temperature and Heat ProblemsABSTRACTTo describe the higher-order thinking ability profile of students in solving temperature and heat problems based on aspects of learning independence (low, medium, and high) was the aim of this study. This research was survey research without a comparison group. The data was collected through a learning independence questionnaire and a higher-order thinking ability test on 126 students of class XI MIA at SMA Negeri 1 Sungai Raya. The results of this study indicated that the higher-order thinking ability of students in solving temperature and heat problems was low with an average of 34.08. The higher-order thinking ability profile of students at the level of analyzing (C4), evaluating (C5), and creating (C6) were respectively 33.6%, 34.0%, 34.4% from the ideal score. The One-Way ANOVA test showed that there was a difference in the higher-order thinking ability profile of students in the low learning independence group, the medium learning independence group, and the high learning independence groups because the value of Fvalue > Fdistribution (9.98 > 3.07). It was concluded that the learning independence of students had a positive effect on higher order thinking ability
DensiProbe: a hybrid laboratory in-situ testing for determining field density / Badrul Nizam Ismail and Nor Hafizah Hanis Abdullah
DensiProbe is equipment that had been invented, as a mean to estimate the in-situ density of a fill, based on some blows from light dynamic penetration test (Mackintosh or JKR Probe). DensiProbe is a combination of light dynamic penetrometer and custom- made mould. The soil samples were compacted in the custom-made mould, and penetration test was conducted for that soil. The compaction and penetration test was repeated for different compaction effort, thus producing different density. From these results, the number of blows versus density curve is developed. Using this curve, penetration test was conducted at the site, and in-situ density can be estimated. This product had won Silver Medal in the International Penang Invention, Innovation and Design (PHD) 2019 and had been published in the 5th GEGEU International Research Seminar 2018. Profit Theory: the Islamic viewpoint
In view of a unique relationship of unity and divergence between Islam and capitalism, the paper takes a hurried look at the current state of profit theory in the mainstream economics. Here it identifies a few issues which include the concept of profit, its source and its relationship with the notion of entrepreneurship. It argues that profit theory with reference to these issues has run into confusion and controversy with the rise into prominence of the modern corporations. Profit as a surplus over costs arises because of dynamic change and is institutional in its appropriation going largely to the block of shareholders that controls the corporation.Profit; Interest; wages; entrepreneur; profit sharing model
